Member Pictures from AMBLI Guest Chef Dinner

One evening in October, The Grand View Dining Room filled to welcome Guest Chef Ricardo Morffin of Ambli Global Cuisine along with our own Chef Thomas Hartwall to present an upscale Mexican-inspired cuisine enjoyed by all.

Cocktail pairings expertly curated by Garden of the Gods Resort and Club Dining Room Supervisor, Jesse Murillo, and Director of Restaurants, Jared Kadzikowski complimented the flavors of unique flavorings and spice.

Dear Members,

November is upon us and while we are experiencing shorter days and longer nights, this is a month of reflection and thanks giving.

November 11th is Veteran’s Day. It is defined as a time for us to pay our respects for those that have served our country. At Garden of the Gods Resort and Club, we will show our appreciation to those members with a complimentary breakfast for them at the Grand View on the day. Please make reservations for the Veterans Breakfast through Clubhouse online. Veterans and currently serving military are complimentary and other guests are regular price.

If you would like to have some extra time to enjoy the company of your friends and family during this holiday season, let US do the cooking for you on Thanksgiving. The Grand View and Rocks Dining Rooms will have turkey, ham, seafood, carving stations, and all the sides and sweets you could possibly want. For a more casual dining experience, KC Grille will be serving a lovey buffet. Take a look at the details within this newsletter and make your reservation soon.

We are having our Member Social on Wednesday, December 1st and it will coincide with the Neiman Marcus Holiday Pop-up to be held in the Hill Room. The Pop-up will be selling everything from housewares, jewelry, clothing and much more for your holiday shopping needs. Please watch for the member communication for more information on the Holiday Member Social.

The Annual Tree Lighting is scheduled for Saturday, November 27th at the main lodge. This year promises to be even more special with upgraded holiday lights throughout the resort. The Carolers and Santa will be here for the festivities as well. Cookie Decorating will take place in the Garden Room immediately following the Tree Lighting.

So many exciting things are happening at the Club right now and I, for one, am so grateful for all of those members who have become like family to us. I look forward to seeing you and your family enjoying many of these activities throughout the holiday season. Until then, I remain...

Welcoming Dr. Jennifer Habashy and Women’s Health at STRATA

STRATA has a phenomenal team of unique providers, who are collectively so proud of the range of services offered to patients, their families, and the community.

We have witnessed the need for more specific services lines to meet the needs of our diverse and growing patient-base. Women’s Health is increasingly in demand. It’s a very broad field of expertise, and we are beyond thrilled to have recruited a Naturopathic Doctor that has years of experience working with women from all walks of life with fertility, pre / peri / post-menopause, and hormonal regulation and imbalances.

Dr. Jennifer Habashy joins us from Scottsdale, Arizona, where she was a clinician within an established and sought-after naturopathic practice. She has relocated to Colorado to join the STRATA team on a full-time basis and is excited to work more in an integrated wellness setting that bridges western and eastern medicine, conventional care, and preventative treatment.

Dr. Habashy is proud to say: “I take a patient-centered, team-based, and multidisciplinary approach to patient care and fully believe that the best way to attain optimal health is through partnering and creating an individualized integrative treatment plan.”

In addition to preventative care and the vast scope of holistic naturopathic medicine, her expertise also includes:

• Hormonemanagementbymeansof naturalnutraceuticals, botanicalmedicine,andbioidenticalhormone replacementtherapy;

• Fertility/Pre-conceptioncounselingandpost-partumnutritionalandsupplementalsupport

• Well women’s examinations and annual check-ups

Additionally, she has had much success supporting people in Weight Management.

Dr. Habashy’s foundational approach is to discover the root cause of the weight gain. She utilizes Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) technology to better understand underlying metabolic issues (i.e., thyroid, adrenal, sex hormone) that often make weight management so difficult. From there, using various naturopathic approaches along with integrative support from other STRATA clinicians within our disciplines of Med, Body, and Fit sustainable weight loss becomes a reality for many who have had no success through other means.

If you are ready to take your health care to the next level, to balance hormones, prepare for pregnancy, or to lose stubborn weight, contact STARTA to schedule an initial consultation with Dr. Habashy

For the month of November, we are also offering FREE 15-minute introductory one-on-one meetings with Dr. Habashy to get to know her and determine your shared connection to achieve your unique wellness goals.

To schedule a complimentary 15-minute session with Dr. Habashy, please contact the STRATA Experience Guide Team at 719-428-2202.

Fall is here and while we are prepping for all the skin loving ways to protect from the elements. Conscious Coconut is one of our standout brands that is now our newest obsession. One of the first questions asked about this stunning brand is why and how is this different from the organic brand I buy in the grocery store. Not all organic coconut oil is the same. Coconuts are dehusked by hand and the meat is taken out of the shell and ground down into fine particles, the mild and oil are separated all done by hand to create the highest quality of oil. Creating a powerhouse of antioxidants, think 4 times more powerful. These antioxidants boost natural defenses and fight free radicals inside and out.

There are so many uses for coconut oil. Here are just a few ways to use this all-in-one product.
