I hope that you had a happy and healthy holiday season and are excited about the prospect of an incredible 2022.
The team at Garden of the Gods Resort and Club are thrilled to continue with planning and implementation of further property enhancements this coming year. We are refining architectural plans for a new arrival experience at the main lodge, renovation of the Grand View Restaurant, and the expansion and enhancement of our Lodge patio areas. Further announcements, plans, and timing will be shared with you as they are finalized. We will make these enhancements at the best possible times so as not to interfere with business and your enjoyment of the club as much as possible.
The month of January will continue to see work progressing on our new pickleball and tennis courts for anticipated completion in May. Our Salon at the Spa will be closed for three weeks beginning January 9th and re-opening on February 1st for enhancement and re-modeling. All massage and facial services will be open along with STRATA Med services.
Our golf, landscaping, and engineering teams continue to work on repairs and cleanup from the windstorm in December. In total, we lost 75 trees and limb damage to many others. The scale of the cleanup and disposal efforts are immense. We are very proud of our teams who were first in line with some incredible outside partners planning and preparing for the cleanup effort even as the storm was raging. In addition, teams of employees from all over our club were on hand first thing the following morning working together to get the Club up and running. It was incredible to see restaurant servers, spa therapists, and accountants among many others, working together to put our beautiful club back together again. While we have already opened nine holes of golf earlier than initially thought, we are pushing hard to open more as soon as possible. Aside from golf, you will see other areas of the property being repaired for some time to come.
We have previously communicated and will continue to do so about the upcoming closure of the Kissing Camels Clubhouse and the Main Lodge building for our team members to conduct deep cleaning, preventative maintenance, and training later this month.
• Kissing Camels Club House and Grille will be closed beginning Sunday, January 16th and re-opening on Sunday, January 23rd. Golf (weather permitting) will still be available during this time but the interior clubhouse facilities will be closed. Tennis facilities will remain OPEN.
• The Main Lodge building, including the Spa, will be closed beginning Sunday, January 23rd and reopening on Monday, January 31st. Kissing Camels Grille will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner during this entire time. Please note that fitness facilities, excluding classes, will remain open during these times other than for a single day on Wednesday, January 26th when it will be closed completely. STRATA Med and the infinity pool will remain open throughout.

Colorado’s inactive score posting season begins in mid-November. If you are traveling to your winter residences and are NOT in an inactive posting season, please remember to post all your scores immediately after playing. As you know, golf is a game of equity, and it is your responsibility to post your scores.
REMINDER
Pet walking, walking/jogging, bicycling, recreation (other than golf), and any other use of the golf course or maintenance paths is not permitted at Kissing Camels Golf Club. The sole use of the golf course is intended for just that, playing golf. Any activities other than golf are not permitted. Regardless of the time of year, this is dangerous because golfers are still using the course and someone or someone’s pet could get hurt. Please understand, the golf course is not KCPOA property and anyone walking on the course (who is not golfing) is not only trespassing but putting themselves at risk of injury. We want our members and their guests to be able to use the golf course in a safe and enjoyable manner.
$1 per time you play outside, $7 per time inside, sign up in advance, 14 weeks of play, tape is included. All players need to have approval from Racquets staff before coming or signing up for League or Open Play.

• 3.0 Program: Adult players of this level are fairly consistent when hitting medium paced balls, but not entirely comfortable with all strokes. The most common doubles formation is one up, one back. CO-ED, Wednesdays, 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., $25
• 3.5 Program: Adult players of this level have improved court coverage are developing teamwork in doubles. This player has dependable strokes but lacks depth and variety.

STRATA BODY’S SALON RENOVATION AND REVEAL
We are extremely excited to announce that the STRATA Body Salon will be getting a New Look for the New Year!
As earlier announced, beginning on Sunday, January 9, 2022, the Salon will be closed for renovations and enhancements; the Salon will reopen on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.
The Wellness and Salon leadership teams have spent the past year reimagining the Salon space to be more inviting, more comfortable, and more open to the breathtaking views of our surrounding Garden of the Gods landscapes. Whether joining us for haircare or nailcare, you will experience enhanced stations and equipment, including more luxurious and relaxing shampoo washing units, manicure and pedicure chairs, and barber chair. That’s right – we are expanding our services to welcome barbering and straight razor face shaves.
In January, the STRATA Body Spa services and Retail Boutique will remain open with routine operational hours (Monday – Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.; Sunday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) until Sunday, January 23, 2022 when the Spa will be closed as part of the partial property closure for cleansing; the Spa services will resume on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.

This past year has been unlike anything we've ever experienced, and we really appreciate your understanding and commitment as daily operations were modified to best manage the health and well-being of the athletes. As we transition into the New Year, we look forward to continuing to bring you the same excellent service you have come to expect – and even more enhancements from our Wellness teams, including Fit.
Our current hours of operation are 5:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m., with STRATA Fit Team Members serving the athletes and facilities from 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.. No reservations needed. We have elevated our GroupEX (Group Exercise) instructors and offerings by incorporating a more holistic approach to programming. You can participate in our GroupEx classes in-person or virtually. No reservations needed.
We are looking forward to continuing our collaborations with Sports, including Tennis, Pickleball, Golf, and many more recreations. We currently are offering a Tennis-specific GroupEx class entitled “Match Point Fit” every Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. inside the M&M Tennis Center. Early in 2022, a Golf-specific GroupEx class will be announced too.
Additionally, over the past year, we have enhanced Personal Training and Fitness Coaching. We currently are employing seven of the most talented, certified Personal Trainers in the area – all of whom would love to assist you with meeting your health and wellness goals and needs … be it weight management, increased flexibility, increased strength and conditioning, or sports-specific training.

STRATA is utilizing technology and fitness innovations. Through the addition of three Hydrow Rowing Machines to our expanding FitTech workout room, more exciting digital experiences are planned for 2022. To better communicate the Wellness offerings and STRATA activities, athlete successes, and overall inspiration, two TV display monitors have been added to the Fit Lobby.
