L’amministrazione comunale saluta il Bike Festival e i suoi tantissimi visitatori e augura a tutti una bellissima permanenza a Riva del Garda, per un importante evento di rilevanza internazionale che è sport e movimento, natura e paesaggio, amicizia e incontro. Ti ricordi il tuo primo Bike Festival? Che atmosfera c’era?

Il primo mi sfugge, ma all‘inizio era tutto nuovo, tutto da inventare e costruire. C‘era tanta adrenalina, un pizzico di tensione, ma soprattutto grandi aspettative ed entusiasmo.

Il mio primo Bike Festival è stato nel 2003. Ho preso un sacco di acqua perché il mio lavoro era controllare che chi entrava avesse un biglietto - a quel tempo per entrare si pagava. L’atmosfera era bella, tanta gente e tutti ansiosi di vedere le novità o provare le bici.

Cosa ti fa tornare ogni anno e continuare a far parte di questa squadra?

Rivedere dopo un anno tutti gli espositori e le persone che conosco da tanto tempo oltre al bel clima che si è instaurato nel tempo.

Dopo tutti questi anni non ho bisogno di motivazioni; per me è sempre bello far parte del gruppo.

Se dovessi descrivere il Bike Festival in poche parole, quali sceglieresti?

Coinvolgente, positivo e full energy mood. Ne basta una: UNICO.

Erinnerst du dich an dein erstes Bike Festival? Wie war die Atmosphäre?

An das allererste kann ich mich nicht genau erinnern, aber am Anfang war alles neu, alles musste aufgebaut und entwickelt werden. Es gab viel Adrenalin, ein bisschen Anspannung, aber vor allem große Erwartungen und Begeisterung.

Mein erstes Bike Festival war 2003. Ich bin komplett nass geworden, weil meine Aufgabe darin bestand zu kontrollieren, ob die Besucher ein Ticket hatten – damals war der Eintritt noch kostenpflichtig. Die Atmosphäre war großartig: viele Menschen, alle gespannt darauf, Neuheiten zu entdecken oder Bikes zu testen.

Was bringt dich dazu, jedes Jahr wiederzukommen und Teil dieses Teams zu bleiben?

Nach einem Jahr all die Aussteller und Menschen wiederzusehen, die ich schon lange kenne, sowie die besondere Atmosphäre, die sich im Laufe der Zeit entwickelt hat.

Nach all diesen Jahren brauche ich keine besondere Motivation mehr; für mich ist es einfach schön, Teil des Teams zu sein.

Wenn du das Bike Festival in wenigen Worten beschreiben müsstest, welche wären das?

Mitreißend, positiv und voller Energie. Ein Wort genügt: EINZIGARTIG.

Do you remember your first Bike Festival? What was the atmosphere like?

I can’t recall the very first one, but in the beginning everything was new, everything had to be created and built. There was a lot of adrenaline, a bit of tension, but above all great expectations and enthusiasm.

My first Bike Festival was in 2003. I got completely soaked because my job was to check tickets at the entrance — back then, you had to pay to get in. The atmosphere was great: lots of people, all eager to see the latest products or try out the bikes.

What makes you come back every year and continue being part of this team?

Seeing again, after a year, all the exhibitors and people I’ve known for a long time, as well as the great atmosphere that has developed over the years.

After all these years, I don’t need any particular motivation; for me, it’s simply great to be part of the team.

If you had to describe the Bike Festival in a few words, which would you choose?

Engaging, positive and full energy mood. One word is enough: UNIQUE.

26 Segnaletica, dati e gestione: verso la prima destinazione certificata. Garda Trentino porta al Bike Festival il sistema ITRS, segnando un passaggio chiave per la gestione delle destinazioni MTB.

Il territorio è il primo a raggiungere la fase finale della Destination Certification, risultato di un lavoro strutturato su segnaletica, classificazione e manutenzione dei trail.

Beschilderung, Daten und Management: auf dem Weg zur ersten zertifizierten Destination. Garda Trentino bringt das ITRS-System zum Bike Festival und setzt damit einen wichtigen Schritt in der Entwicklung von MTB-Destinationen.

Die Region ist die erste, die die finale Phase der Destination Certification erreicht – das Ergebnis strukturierter Arbeit an Beschilderung, Klassifizierung und Wartung der Trails.

Come tutto è iniziato. Intervista con Uli Stanciu

Qual è stata l’idea alla base del Bike Festival e cosa ha reso questo evento così unico?

Il concept nel 1994 era lo stesso di oggi: dare a ogni biker la possibilità di testare personalmente tutte le bici sul mercato. Ma non solo: a questo si sono aggiunti tour guidati, show, gare, party… È sempre stato molto più di una semplice fiera: fin dall’inizio è stato un mix di prodotto, esperienza e community.

In oltre 30 anni il mondo della bici è cambiato profondamente. Quali sono stati gli sviluppi più importanti e come è riuscito il Bike Festival ad anticiparli o accompagnarli?

Fondamentale è stata l’evoluzione tecnica che ha cambiato completamente lo sport, rendendo possibili nuovi stili di guida. Un altro aspetto chiave è la digitalizzazione: pianificazione dei tour, navigazione, allenamento. Tutto questo ha reso l’accesso al ciclismo molto più semplice per tante persone.

Al Bike Festival abbiamo sempre cercato di rendere visibili queste evoluzioni fin dalle prime fasi. È sempre stata la nostra forza: far vivere le novità, non solo esporle.

Se immagini il Bike Festival tra dieci anni, come lo vedi?

Ci sarà un’integrazione sempre più forte del digitale nello sport bike, con un ruolo crescente dell’intelligenza artificiale nella pianificazione e nella gestione dei tour. Ma credo che il cuore del Bike Festival non cambierà: le persone vogliono uscire, pedalare, vivere esperienze reali. E questo è un bisogno senza tempo.

Was war die ursprüngliche Idee hinter dem Bike Festival und was hat diese Veranstaltung so einzigartig gemacht?

Idee und Konzept waren im Gründungsjahr 1994 identisch mit heute: Zuerst natürlich die Möglichkeit für jeden Biker alle Bikes des Marktes selber zu testen. Aber das sollte nicht alles sein: Dazu kamen geführte Touren, Shows, Rennen, Party… Es ist immer viel mehr gewesen als eine Messe. Es war von Anfang an ein Zusammenspiel aus Produkten, Erlebnis und Community.

In über 30 Jahren hat sich die Fahrrad-welt grundlegend verändert. Welche Entwicklungen waren die prägendsten und wie ist es dem Bike Festival gelungen, diese vorwegzunehmen oder zu begleiten?

Wesentlich war sicher die technische Evolution der Bikes selbst: Fahrwerke, Bremsen, Geometrien – das hat den Sport komplett verändert und neue Fahrstile möglich gemacht. Ein weiterer ganz wichtiger Punkt ist die Digitalisierung. Tourenplanung, Navigation, Training. Das hat den Zugang zum Sport für viele Menschen, deutlich einfacher gemacht.

Was das Bike Festival betrifft: Wir haben immer versucht, diese Entwicklungen ganz früh sichtbar zu machen. Das war immer unsere Stärke: Dinge erlebbar machen, nicht nur ausstellen.

Wenn du dir das Bike Festival in zehn Jahren vorstellst: Wie wird es aussehen?

Es wird einen kompletten Einzug der digitalen Welt in den Bike-Sport geben und dazu wird sicher der Einsatz von KI in Tourenplanung und Tourenführung kommen. Aber ich glaube, der Kern des Bike Festivals wird sich dadurch nicht verändern. Menschen wollen raus, sie wollen fahren, sie wollen echte Erfahrungen machen. Dieses Bedürfnis ist zeitlos.

What was the original idea behind the Bike Festival and what made this event so unique?

The concept in 1994 was the same as today: to give every biker the opportunity to personally test all bikes on the market. But that wasn’t all: guided tours, shows, races and parties were also part of it. It has always been much more than a trade fair: from the very beginning, it has been a mix of product, experience and community.

Over more than 30 years, the bike world has changed significantly. What have been the most important developments and how has the Bike Festival anticipated or followed them?

A key factor has been the technical evolution, which has completely transformed the sport and enabled new riding styles. Another major aspect is digitalization: tour planning, navigation, training. All of this has made cycling much more accessible for many people.

At the Bike Festival, we have always aimed to showcase these developments from an early stage. That has always been our strength: making innovation something you can experience, not just see.

If you imagine the Bike Festival ten years from now, what will it look like?

There will be an even stronger integration of digital tools in bike sports, with a growing role of artificial intelligence in tour planning and management. But I believe the core of the Bike Festival will remain the same: people want to go outside, ride and have real experiences. And that is a timeless need.

La festa in spiaggia che apre il festival e dà il via all’estate del Garda Trentino. Il Taurus diventa un DJ set su ruote, tra musica, drink e vista lago.

Open Night

Dalle 19.00 alle 21.00 l’area expo cambia volto: gli stand si trasformano in punti di incontro tra musica, birra e momenti condivisi.

Warm-up Party by Fenz

Dalle 18.00 alla Spiaggia degli Olivi: si parte con calma tra drink, musica e vista lago, aspettando il party.

Bike Festival Party

Dalle 22.30, DJ set e festa alla Spiaggia degli Olivi. Un luogo iconico dove chiudere la giornata e continuare il festival anche di notte.
