Gallery Future Updated FAQ September 23rd Question: There’s a conflict of interest having John MacMillan hand pick the GTT. Answer: John MacMillan did not select members of Advisory Committee (AC). The original AC was selected by protocol since inception of The Gallery. However, Mr. MacMillan made the decision to include Guy Shoemaker in the AC to facilitate our feasibility study process. Thus the GTT was formed to represent all Gallery Members. It is not unusual for ownership to select team members. Question: What purchase process begins with no disclosure of losses and purchase price? Answer: The process has just begun to evaluate our club financial status and assess our club value. We have full access to financial records of the club and to department heads. As in all transactions of this type, information is being made available in detail to a small group and in summary to other members of the AC (or GTT) under Confidentiality Agreements. Members will be provided updates in upcoming weeks as data becomes available. Membership will ultimately make the final decision whether proceed in negotiation with the owner by their vote. The Gallery hosted a Big Break LPGA Girls Golf Clinic on Saturday, September 19. We had 19 girls attend and 15 volunteers (including 5 from the Gallery) along with 4 golf professionals, two from the Gallery, Kristie Fowler who organized the program, and Alyssa Vega our Merchandise Manager. The clinic was 2 hours long and covered rules, putting, chipping, pitching and full swing, followed by a wonderful lunch buffet – I think the brownies were the big hit – Chef Brian Steiner really knows the way to a girls heart! The weather was beautiful and everyone had a wonderful time.
