Around the Club Team Heinemann The Heinemann’s have teamed up for some sharp-shooting here at The Gallery! Dick Heinemann eagled #4 on the South Course while Sharon Heinemann eagled #7 on the South Course.
Tough Start - Great Finish! It is never fun, nor promising to start off three putting the first green. This only fueled Barb Parker on April 10th. She went on to shoot two under (70) from the white/red combo tees on the South Course. Great determination Mrs. Parker!

Wine Dinner
Tuesday, April 22nd 6pm Five-Course Dinner paired with Arizona Wines $75 per person Owners Rob (winemaker) and Sarah Hammelman purchased a 12 acre farm in 2010 between Chiricahua and Dragon Mountain southeast of Wilcox, Arizona. They currently grow Malvasia Bianca, Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Sagrantino, Montepulciano, Syrah and Zinfandel grapes producing award winning varietal wines. Rob is a graduate of the University of Adelaide in South Australia with sincere passion of Rhone style varietals. He worked for one of the oldest wineries in Australia the renowned Hewitson. Eventually moving to Colorado where he was winemaker for Two Rivers Winery. In 2008 he traveled to France and worked with Louis Barruol at Chateau de St. Cosme in Gigondas, France. Rob is married to Sarah whom with her help mastered the “science, art and soul of wine”. A professional in her own right she worked her way from understanding Pinot Noir in Carneros at Étude and completing her 1st level Sommelier certification while working in retail wine sales and fine dining restaurants. The current accolade of achievement is for the 2012 Malvasia Bianca with two prestigious awards. 2013 Arizona Republic Growers Cup and “Top 100 Wines of 2013” with the San Francisco Chronicle. As a side note, Rob is currently the winemaker for Phil and Kim Admundson, members here at the Gallery Golf Club who have a winery near Sand-Reckoner Vineyards, Admundson Vineyards. Men’s Pac 12 Golf Championship April 25th - 27th The Gallery Golf Club is about to be front and center stage for the Men’s Pac 12 Championship and we want to keep you informed of all the happenings during the event. The North Course will close beginning at 9am on Thursday, April 24th. Starting times will be available beginning at 1:40pm on the 26th and 1:30pm on the 27th. North Putting Green will be reserved for event participants. Wine Room will become headquarters/press room for the event. Back patio is reserved for Members and Pac 12 VIP’s only. Serving a la carte Breakfast menu daily throughout the tournament from 7am - 10am. No breakfast buffet on Sunday, April 27th. The North Course nines will be reversed - #10 will become #1. Member Practice Facility open as usual. Spectators are welcomed and encouraged! We are still seeking volunteers. Please contact Paul Nolen if you would like to participate. Show your pride and wear your favorite team’s garb!
Nine Hole Ladies League Please join us on Tuesday afternoons! We try to meet about 2:30 to warm up and then play at 3pm. If you do not have a handicap – it is ok! This week Vanessa Baker from the Golf Shop will lead the group! So look for her at the practice area. You can sign up by going to the Members Only site and clicking on Events or just contact the Golf Shop directly. As we work to build our group we want to remind everyone that we do not require a big commitment - If it happens that you can only play with us one Tuesday a month – that is ok! We just want you to have fun, play a little golf and meet new people! We are also working on some fun ideas to have special guests out to play – like Chef Brian, and we’ll ask him to bring us treats too! Maybe we’ll have the professional staff out now & then for a little instruction for an hour and then we can go play 5 holes, whatever we feel like. I am even thinking we could fieldtrip to Tubac or something…9 holes & shopping would be fun! This summer the club is closed on Tuesdays, so we’ll switch to Wednesdays and say the 18 hole group goes out at 7:30 – we’ll go out at 9 or 9:30 and then come in for a cool drink afterwards with them. We’d like to the take the next few months and see what works best for the ladies as far as which day of the week and also what time of day. I hope you can join us one day soon! Jenny
Spring Mountain Mania Team Gallery was edged out by Team Stone Canyon 20 - 16 this past week to take the Mountain Man Trophy. Stone Canyon has won the last two meetings, but The Gallery holds the overall lead 16 - 12.

In Tucson, Barbara received her yoga teacher certification (RYT 200) through Permelia Harden, senior teacher at Yoga Oasis. She continued her yoga training with Amy Wientraub, becoming a LifeForce Yoga® Practitioner, Level II in 2008. Barbara holds a Masters in Movement from Wesleyan University ('83), which included studies in kinesiology (anatomy in motion) and dance.
