How can one be selfless? • Perform own duties perfectly • Help the people who deserve to be • Share your contribution • Expect nothing in return that has to benefit you specifically • Focus be on growth of that person and the society • Donate a part of the income to the needy
What does Galen Stone do? • Hailing from Marion, Galen Stone has been serving people for decades now • A project Manager by profession • Health care is his prime domain • Care-giving to people • Counseling people personally and for finances
How does Galen Stone contribute? • Galen is currently serving two elder persons across Boston • One of the patients is suffering Alzheimer’s disease • Galen bathes them personally • We cooks hygienic food • Takes them for walk • Takes them to the clinics and the social functions • Helps them doing physical exercises
When did Galen realize the need for care giving? • Galen Stone from Marion during his early 20s researched on human behavior, religion and racism • Learnt how people were treated and behaved just because of their origin • Learnt about the harassments and the age-long effects on the sufferer • Counseled the members and people for mental stabilization • Guided mentally disturbed patients for improvement and better stability
Acknowledgements • Galen Stone has been nominated multiple times for his research and the measures he has taken • His programs were awarded by DYS as “Outstanding Program in MA” and got recognized for “Best Practices” • Nominated and awarded as the Outstanding Outreach Worker for 4 consecutive years. • Received Highest Departmental Honors for his thesis on Boys’ Village-up Study, prepared on 150+ alumnae over the past years
