A regional relocation strategy for the displaced Grindavik community of Iceland following the recent natural disasters taking place within the Reykjanes peninsula. This project aims to highlight local Grindavik community social and spatial guidelines that will act as an important catalyst for the integration within a new place of residence, in this case the town of Sandgerði. This integral strategy not only provides a safe and resilient new home for the displaced Grindavik residents, but will also improve the living standards and provide new opportunities for the town of Sandgerði and its local residents. In other words, a win-win situation.
