GHG Emissions Consolidation Approach
Gables Residential owns and manages multifamily residential properties across the United States. Gables’ CCR covers communities where Gables exercises operational control and have one full year of stabilized operations. The boundary of assurance was limited to the Client’s operational properties located in the United States, comprising forty-eight (47) for energy and forty-seven (48) for water and waste, which are either landlord- or tenant-controlled. Common area energy usage was included for properties with data availability. The GHG emissions boundary followed the operational control methodology specified in the GHG Protocol.
Limitations and Exclusions Greenhouse gas quantification is unavoidably subject to inherent uncertainty because of both scientific and estimation uncertainty and for other non-financial performance information the precision of different measurement techniques may also vary. Furthermore, the nature and methods used to determine such information, as well as the measurement criteria and the precision thereof, may change over time.
