In 2019, Providencia launched this initiative, through which it has successfully promoted the academic training of ninety-five leaders. They have been trained in comprehensive project management to strengthen their territories and the communities to which they belong. This year, as part of its sustainability strategy, Providencia trained thirty-one new leaders from its area of influence.
I
n 2023, the closure and graduation ceremony of the third cohort of the Leadership School for a Sustainable Valley diploma program took place. This program is one of the initiatives within Providencia's sustainability strategy, through which the company aims to support the training, strengthen the leadership, and project management skills of leaders in its area of influence.
This edition involved the participation of thirty-one leaders from the rural areas of Palmira, El Cerrito, and Candelaria, and was facilitated by Javeriana University of Cali. The beneficiaries gained tools to excel in the productive, economic, environmental, and social development of their communities. Additionally, it was an opportunity for the leaders to learn about Providencia's productive processes and its sustainability strategy.

“Education is one of the fundamental pillars of Providencia's sustainability strategy; therefore, the Leadership School for a Sustainable Valley is one of the ways in which we leverage the development of the region. To date, ninety-five leaders from our area of influence have been certified and have acquired various skills such as project management and resource mobilization, aiming to contribute to their community. It fills us with satisfaction to know that we have contributed to the development of leaders who understand and analyse the situations in their context, in order to manage projects that benefit their communities." A
s the outcome of this training exercise, the leaders developed projects for their communities, mostly focused on Angie promoting Riascosthe Rojas development of comprehensive skills through art, culture, the environment, psychosocial support, tourism, comprehensive childcare, among others. The participants presented their projects to representatives from various institutions with the purpose of introducing the program and establishing connections with these organizations to strengthen collaboration. Representatives from the Chambers of Commerce of Palmira and Buga, SENA, municipalities, and businesspeople attended the presentations.
In addition to the training received, Providencia has set out to provide comprehensive support in the implementation of the projects, aiming to be the catalyst for the formation of strategic alliances and encourage active participation of various stakeholders within the community. This initiative seeks not only to materialize the project but also to create a robust social fabric that endures over time, promoting collaboration and constructive collaboration among the different community members and strengthening the bonds that contribute to the sustainable development of the region.

IN PROVIDENCIA: Sustainable Sweetness In action
At Piedechinche Hacienda in Providencia Ecological Park, the initiative "Providencia, we are Sustainable Sweetness" has successfully planted over two hundred thousand trees. This commitment goes hand in hand with ecological restoration, aiming for ecological balance and providing safe habitats for local and migratory birds. In this green oasis, the birds' songs have become a daily symphony, highlighting the harmony possible when embracing sustainability.
Sustainable Sweetness not only plants in the soil but also in community consciousness.
Through educational programs, future generations are inspired to be guardians of the environment. Additionally, they have forged strong ties with the local community, promoting collaboration for a greener future. In summary, "Providencia, we are Sustainable Sweetness" is a commitment to a more sustainable and harmonious future, where green shines, and the singing of the birds is a reminder of the beauty that can flourish with sweetness and sustainability.
