Supplying the market with apples all year round Blue Whale® is the leading French apple grower with 50 years of know-how and expertise in the apple industry. Blue Whale® was founded in 1969. The head office is based in Montauban in France and has over 300 fruit growers, 6,620 hectares of orchards located in the main French producing areas: South West, Loire Valley, Centre, Provence and Alps. With more than 270,000 tons of fruit, 25 varieties of apples including Gala, Pink Lady®, Granny, Joya®, Envy®… and a wide range of organic apples, pears, plums, kiwis and grapes. Blue Whale® exports to 80 countries with a turnover of 310 million Euro. Innovation is very important at Blue Whale® with the development of new apple varieties such as Candine®, Kissabel® or Coeur de Reine in order to stay ahead of market trends, but also with new plum varieties in the Metis® range, Qtee® and Fred® pears or seedless grapes. We also innovate in our cultivation techniques to produce fruit in a more sustainable way. With more than 6,500 hectares labelled „High Environmental Value“ (HVE), this new French certification testifies our producers‘ commitment to the ecological transition and responsible agriculture. Candine® This new variety is a hybrid of the Ariane and the Fuji varieties. Candine® reaches maturity at the end of September and will win you over with its sweetness, its aromas, and its very sweet taste. It is a refreshing apple that keeps very well.
