Argentina stands alone at the top of the global wingshooting stage. With vast, unpressured landscapes, diverse species, and generous seasons, it offers bird hunters an unrivaled combination of volume and variety. The sheer numbers are staggering... millions of eared doves swarm the skies yearround, creating some of the most exhilarating high volume shooting anywhere on earth. For those seeking a different pace, Argentina also delivers superb shooting for wild pigeons, ducks, and perdiz, often in the same itinerary. It's a sporting paradise, tailored to every wingshooter's dream.
What sets Argentina apart isn't just the quantity of birds; it's the consistency and quality of the experience. The best lodges operate with precision, pairing professional guides with well-trained bird boys, comfortable blinds, and seamless logistics. Shooting days are crafted to maximize sport without sacrificing comfort or hospitality. Whether you're posted in a dove field under a warm sky, calling ducks from a marsh at dawn, or walking the pampas behind a bird dog, the action is steady, the surroundings beautiful, and the rewards unforgettable.

He has hosted hunting groups in Bolivia, Argentina, Scotland, Spain, Hungary, and France — not to mention an annual trek with a big Frontiers group to Georgia for quail. When not in the field with Frontiers, you will find Mike hunting birds in western Pennsylvania over his English cockers, Lakland and Jett.
Add to that Argentina's renowned hospitality, fine wine, incredible cuisine, and gracious lodges steeped in tradition, and you have a complete sporting experience that's as refined as it is wild. For seasoned hunters and first-timers alike, bird shooting in Argentina isn't just a trip, it's a rite of passage, a benchmark, and a memory-maker that stands at the pinnacle of the wingshooting world.
With over 40-years of shooting experience in Argentina, we have designed the perfect itinerary for this departure!

2 ½ days of high-volume dove and pigeon shooting.
Absolute prime time for all species.

Estancia Santa Rita offers one of the most well-rounded and rewarding wingshooting experiences in Argentina. The day often begins in the marshes, where the morning sky fills with flights of rosy-billed pochards, pintails, and teal—delivering high-volume duck shooting at first light from expertly placed dry blinds. As the morning action winds down, guests return to the estancia for a hearty lunch and a siesta. The afternoon brings more duck hunting. Depending on seasonal implications and the bird population, there is also classic upland shooting. Over pointing dogs, the perdiz rise fast and low, offering challenging, walk-up shooting in scenic countryside. Most shooters in the party will be able to enjoy one afternoon of perdiz hunting in addition to the world-class duck resource.
What makes Santa Rita truly exceptional is the variety of sport paired with first-class service. With professional guides, skilled bird dogs, and a welcoming lodge atmosphere, each day strikes the perfect balance of excitement and relaxation. It's a celebration of tradition, adventure, and the kind of authentic Argentine hospitality that keeps wingshooters returning year after year.

El Monte Lodge is set in the rolling hills and sun-drenched countryside of San Luis Province. The Lodge offers a premier high-volume shooting experience focused on two of Argentina's most exciting and prolific gamebirds -- doves and pigeons. Your days bring nonstop action as clouds of doves pour over the fields, offering fast, consistent shooting for as long as your shoulder holds up. On the next day, the focus shifts to wild pigeon shooting, an entirely different challenge as these strong, elusive birds dive and dart through the trees with surprising speed and cunning. It's a thrilling contrast that keeps every day dynamic and deeply satisfying for the experienced shot.
At the heart of the experience is the lodge itself; gracious, intimate, and deeply connected to the land around it. With a warm, attentive staff, exceptional Argentine cuisine, and a relaxed, private atmosphere, El Monte feels like a personal retreat with world-class wingshooting right outside the door. For those seeking superb shooting away from the crowds, this hidden corner of Argentina delivers all the goods.
