Frik De Meyere

Building businesses in unfamiliar markets requires vision and patience—qualities that have defined Frik De Meyere’s professional path. Now based in Belize, he brings over twenty years of experience across Europe and Central America to his role as founder of Prime Belize Real Estate, where he helps clients navigate one of the region’s most attractive property markets. Frik’s journey began in Belgium. He was raised in a small farming village near the Dutch border and pursued higher education in Ghent and Antwerp, earning degrees in information technology and emergency medical services. His interest in business led him to complete an MBA at Flanders Business School and another MBA at the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago. Frik’s early career spanned many European industries, including real estate development, information systems, cosmetics, food production, and construction. Over more than ten years, he led and invested in more than twenty startup ventures, many of which matured through mergers or acquisitions. In addition, he managed the construction and sale of more than one hundred residential units, gaining practical experience in the property market. A 2004 business scouting trip to Belize with his partner Ilse Van Keer marked a turning point in Frik’s career. Seeing potential in Belize’s growing real estate sector, he acquired properties. In 2011, he and his family relocated to Belize full-time, and he joined BMA Real Estate in Placencia.
