Mrs. Lucarini During her years at Friends' Central School, Concettina Lucarini has been a positive influence on the student body. Through her presence, our school has gained a strong teacher and a faculty advisor for extracurricular activities. But more important, her genuine concern for students and faculty has won her the respect and admiration of everyone. She is always ready to devote extra time to a student, whether it be for academic help or personal advice. Although her high expectations and demanding manner intimidated us as freshman, we have grown to realize that it was this motivation that has pushed us to use our full potential. Because of her kindness and help throughout our years at Friends' Central she has taught us about ourselves and helped us grow. These lessons are invaluable and will stay with us as will her ·influence in years to come. We wish her the best of luck and will remember her fondly.

Mrs. Kempir Each one of us has different memories o our past days at Friends' Central. It's hare to find someone who is a part of them all. There is, however, one: Jean Kempin. She has been a mainstay of the school, as well as a wonderful nurse. Aunt Jean was someone you could depend on to understand and care about your often invisible injury. She was always there when you needed her, and she will be sorely missed by all, as she completes her long tenure at Friends' Central this coming year. We hope she will remember all of us as fondly as we will remember her tender care.

And the truth is, we weren't always sure we could do it ... - when our playground turned into Shallcross Hall. - when our soccer field turned into a parking lot. - when our library moved into the Barn. - when Meeting moved from blue chairs to benches. - when you returned from England and became headmaster for a year. -when Dr. Wood's cottage became an art studio. - when the Red Book changed colors. - when the Demons were damned. - when "computers" was singular at F. C. - when the seventh grade took real class trips. - when Spanish came and Russian left. -when we learned to drive. - when twenty-two year old teachers comprised a majority. - when the faculty lounge became a history room (and history became popular). Through all of these changes - both good and bad, we always knew exactly what to expect from you. Your consistency and reliability have helped us through the years. Well, we have finally made it now, and we couldn't have done it without you. Our debt to you is enormous, but our gratitude is just as great.
