REMINDERS & INFORMATION

Important REMINDERS

Be sure to submit updated emergency information at the time of registration.

Campers must wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing. Sun shirts, shorts, and hat are recommended for hot sunny days. On swim or water days, flip-flops or sandals may be packed and worn only at the pool or during water play.

Campers must bring sunscreen, reusable water bottle, and snacks. If enrolled in the full day, please bring a bagged lunch.

Don’t forget to bring sunscreen and apply it to your child before coming to camp.

TOT CAMPS

My First Camp

My first camp is an extension of the Tiny Tots Preschool program that offers full days featuring weekly themes. Children will grow and explore in an enriching preschool experience through a curriculum of activities promoting social, emotional and intellectual growth. Children will participate in dramatics, motor movement, arts and crafts and indoor/outdoor play. Children must be toilet-trained. Bring a snack and water bottle to camp. Lunch will be provided by City of Fremont Catering!

First Art Camp

Welcome to My First Art Camp! Designed for ages 3–5, this hands-on camp introduces young artists to the basics of creativity and self-expression through painting, drawing, sculpting, and crafts. With fun, age-appropriate projects, children will explore colors, shapes, and textures while developing fine motor skills and confidence in their artistic abilities. Summer Tot Spot Camp

Tot Spot camps are designed for fun, hands-on preschool learning. Our trained teachers focus on child development through helping children enjoy the discovery of play, learning and social interaction in a safe, positive environment. Bring a snack and water bottle each day. Children must be potty trained.

Adventures @ Ardenwood Farm Camp

Enjoy the present as we explore the past by spending some of your summer at Ardenwood Historic Farm - a screen-free environment! Learn about places the Patterson family witnessed firsthand, from Chicago to India to China. Enjoy outdoor fun and hands-on learning through nature walks, science investigations, group games, creative dramatics and puppetry, art projects, and much more! Every week’s activities will be different. Younger and older campers are in their own age groups and camp sites during each one-week session.

Summerween Vintage Holiday on the Farm

Does your child like to dress up in costumes all year round? Do they pine for the trees to shed their leaves because that signals it is October? Plan what they will wear months in advance and change their minds a time or two because there are so many possibilities? Sounds like they are a Halloween kid! Well, this is the camp week for them! The focus is on the gentle side of the holiday with ghosties and monsters but more of the friendly Casper and Pixar variety! So much fun to be had with a spooky season twist!

Organic Kids on the Farm

Learn about life on an organic farm through hands-on activities from farm to fork. One week we will bake muffins and make berry jam and butter to spread on them! Another we will use the sun’s rays to make s’mores! How about planting an herb garden to take home or learning how to identify wild and domestic animals, learning about yoga and practice movement techniques, trying out some mindfulness exercises and more! Activities vary each session. Sign up for some summer fun!

Aqua Camp at Aqua Adventure Waterpark

Aqua Camp focuses on water-related activities to keep your kids active and engaged this summer. Every week there will be a camp theme that includes some games, plus arts and crafts when the campers are not in the water. Every camper will be provided an Aqua Adventure rash guard on first day of the camp. Lunch and afternoon snack are provided in this camp. Trained lifeguards are on duty during waterpark operation. Participants must be comfortable in the water. Life jackets will be provided, with a heavy emphasis on water safety. Please send your camper with a swimsuit, a towel, pair of tennis shoes, change of clothes, sunscreen, and a water bottle. Extended Care is now offered at the Teen Center. There are no refunds for missed classes and make-up classes are not available.

Is this your first time ever attending a camp? Our half-day Rookie Sports Camp is a great way to introduce your little ones to camps. Specifically geared towards first-time campers ages 4-7 in a halfday camp, you will be surrounded by great coaches and others also new to the summer camp experience for a week of sports play, games, activities and crafts! Sports Captains Leadership Camp

This half day morning camp is a great sports themed leadership program that will challenge you to understand what makes a great team captain and how you can grow in your own unique abilities. Gather your team for a winning summer building leadership skills through sports exercises and games. Campers will also be able to apply their training to opportunities with our sports camps to accumulate service hours required for graduation. Enter Skateboarding Summer Camp

Enter Skateboarding hosted by Jordan Ritcher will be having a weeklong day camp at Fremont Skatepark. Providing expert guidance for beginner, intermediate and advanced skateboarders; safety is a top priority throughout our fun-filled days. Bring your own board, helmet, and water each day. Full day campers should also bring their lunch.

Junior Golf Camp

With curriculum designed to make learning the game of golf fun and memorable for junior golfers of all ages and skill levels, students are taught in a structured yet relaxed environment. From beginners to aspiring high school and collegiate golfers, the Junior Golf Academy offers the opportunity to learn, improve and hone their golf skills. $25 material fee due at first class; includes green fee and use of balls and clubs provided by Fremont Park Golf. Bring lunch, water and sunscreen. Note: registration fee listed online is most up to date; guide subject to changes. JV (Ages 10-13): The program is designed for elementary and middle school golfers with beginner and intermediate skill levels to prepare them for tournament competition. The curriculum will include swing technique, chipping, pitching, putting, bunker play, rules and etiquette. Varsity (Ages 12-16): This program is designed for the junior golfer who is tryout out for their high school team and for beginner golfers - includes the TPI fitness curriculum, intense swing development, trajectory control around the green, putting drills, and developing a routine for every shot and bunker play.

Counselors in Training (CiT)

The City of Fremont Counselors-In-Training (CIT) program is an immersive camp experience designed for teens to develop the skills necessary for potential part-time employment with the City of Fremont Recreation Services in the future. Participants work with a qualified director and camp staff and begin to learn and understand the demands and responsibilities of a camp counselor’s job. Participants also have the opportunity to attend weekly workshops focused on professional development and peer learning. Youth Service Corps (YSC)

In addition to the service projects, participants can join workshops to further build on the principles of teamwork and leadership. CITY OF FREMONT RELEASE AGREEMENT FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS

IN CONSIDERATION OF PERMISSION TO PARTICIPATE IN OR USE ANY CITY OF FREMONT (hereinafter referred to as “City”) FACILITIES IN CONNECTION WITH THIS ACTIVITY, THE PARTICIPANT AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING:

1. THE PARTICIPANT HEREBY RELEASES, WAIVES, DISCHARGES AND COVENANTS NOT TO SUE THE CITY OF FREMONT, ITS EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS AND AGENTS (hereinafter referred to as “releasees”) from all liability to the participant, his or her personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin, for any loss, damage, or claim therefore on account of injury to the person, participant’s family member, or property of the participant, whether caused by any negligent act or omission of the releasees or otherwise, while the participant or participant’s family member is participating in a City activity or using any City facilities in connection with the activity.

2. THE PARTICIPANT HEREBY AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the releasees from all liability, claims, demands, causes of action, charges, expenses, and attorney fees (including attorney fees to establish the releasees’ right to indemnify incurred on appeal) resulting from involvement in this activity, whether caused by any negligent act or omission of the releasees or otherwise.

3. THE PARTICIPANT HEREBY ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR RISK OF BODILY INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE to self or participant’s family member while upon City property or participating in the activity or using any City facilities and equipment, whether caused by any negligent act or omission of releasees or otherwise. The participant expressly agrees that the foregoing release and waiver, indemnity agreement and assumption of risk, are intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by California law and that if any portion thereof is deemed to be held invalid, notwithstanding, the balance shall continue in full legal force and effect.

I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ THE FOREGOING and I am aware of the legal consequences of this agreement, including the acknowledgement that it prevents me from suing the City or its employees, agents, or officers, if I or my family member is injured or my property is damaged for any reason as a result of participation in this activity. I further acknowledge that no oral representations, statements or inducements have been made.

IF THE PARTICIPANTS ARE MINORS his or her custodial parent or legal guardian must read and execute this agreement. I hereby warrant that I am the custodial parent or legal guardian of the participants listed on the registration form.

Requests for withdrawals/transfers can be submitted at www.RegeRec.com

REFUND POLICY

Refunds are allowed if requested up to seven calendar days prior to the start of the activity. A $10 per class withdrawal fee will be deducted from your refund. Please allow up to four weeks for receipt of refund by check.

TRANSFER POLICY

Transfers are allowed up to seven calendar days prior to the start of the class. There is no charge for this service.

CANCELLATIONS

We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reasonable cause. Should this happen, your fee will be refunded in full or you may transfer to any open class.

NON-RESIDENT FEES

For persons not residing in Fremont, the fee is $5 in addition to the published fee per class.

SENIOR CITIZEN DISCOUNT

Seniors (Ages 60+) receive a 10% discount on all classes except those designated for seniors.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

The City of Fremont and many local business and organizations have funded a grant program, which provides financial assistance for Fremont Residents. All requests are kept confidential. For more information about scholarships, please visit Fremont.gov and search scholarships. Donations are tax deductible.
