Adult Summer Library Club June 1 – July 31

Visit your library 6 times in person, via curbside or by attending a virtual program and receive a free tote bag! To log your visit for a virtual program listen to the instructions at the beginning of the event. For curbside let the staff member know you are participating in the club and they’ll forward the call to the Reader’s Services Desk to record your visit.

Summer Reading Challenge June 1 – July 31

Read or listen to 3 books and hand in your Challenge Card to be entered into a drawing to win a Samsung Galaxy Tab A. One prize will be awarded to each age group. All ages can participate; limit one entry per person.

Jim Gibbons will discuss the sinking of the USS Indianapolis, the horrific fate of the survivors, its effect on history, as well as his family connection to the tragedy. R

One Hundred and Sixty Minutes: The Race to Save the Titanic Wednesday, Aug. 25, 7:00pm

Author William Hazelgrove tells the story of the amazing heroism and astounding incompetence in the race to rescue the Titanic, as more than 28 ships raced to her rescue. R
