A Forest of Hooks and Nails is a contemporary visual art exhibition which was open at Fremantle Arts Centre from Thu 11 Feb – Sun 14 Mar 2021.
The group exhibition featured the works of ten Western Australian artists who also work on Fremantle Arts Centre's exhibition install crew. The group used their insider knowledge of FAC's spaces and inner workings to create new artworks, responding to the building and its history. Artists featured: Dan Bourke, Phoebe Clarke, Angela Ferolla, Rob Kettels, Maxxi Minaxi May, Hugh Thomson, Phoebe Tran, Tyrown Waigana, Zev Weinstein, Hansdieter Zeh.
A Forest of Hooks and Nails was curated by Tom Freeman, FAC Install Coordinator and was part of the 2021 Perth Festival.
