This is a notebook created by Maynor Rattan Webb (1886-1951) while he was a student at Texas Holiness Academy in 1905. Texas Holiness Academy was a high school equivalent program run by Texas Holiness University in Peniel, Texas. In 1920, Texas Holiness University merged with what was then called Oklahoma Holiness College to create Bethany-Peniel College. This was a direct precursor to what is today Southern Nazarene University. Contents include poetry excerpts and short stories printed in Christian newspapers along with other newspaper articles of interest and general facts he was learning from other classes. The journal was donated to the Fred Floyd Archives by his grandson, James Wilson.
