What Makes Them Shine
FRED's only senior living community is anything but boring. Since so many residents are retired, it's important Liberty Square builds an atmosphere of strong community where residents can safely mingle, have fun, and enjoy unique amenities, like a home theater, rooftop garden, and hair salon. Common areas recently received beautiful head-to-toe upgrades, bringing their look out of the early 90's and into 2021. The team works with a local vendor to deliver cupcakes to residents’ doors on their birthdays, and everyone chips in for monthly events like homemade lunch deliveries, snacks, and cocktail hours (which will return after Covid)! Their incredible team includes Sherry Coens (Property Manager), Andy Likwarz (Lead Maintenance Tech), Mark Rosenau and Carolyn Carlson (Leasing), Mike Kavanaugh (Leasing/Director of Movie Services & Popcorn Maker), and Kessea Van De Casteele (Housekeeping).

What I like the most after leaving work is to enjoy dinner with my family because we always love being and eating together. We all gather around and have a great time while enjoying each other's company. We all have unique interests so there are never dull conversations. Other times, we have super funny conversations because everyone has a great sense of humor or interesting stories from throughout the day. What I enjoy the most is that we are all happy.

In January we welcomed Motor, a scruffy stray cat. In April, our two-day old chicks arrived, and we grew our chicken pen. In August, my 94 year old mother-in-law Dorothy moved in. Now we all coexist happily and the additions have made our lives fuller and more rich.

Corporate | Operations Manager Erin knew we were on a time crunch to get a few model shots completed at Ridge View before we had to take a temporary model apart. (Ridge View typically is 100% so we do not have models.) Even though she had 1 million+ things to do, she took the time to drive to the property and take some great model shots for us to use on the ILS sites with the remodeled apartments Ridge View offers. Erin has never let any of my sites down with her marketing magic. Erin and the marketing team's efforts make our sites shine to our prospects and residents. A REALLY big thank you to Erin for this and all the other times. Erin has helped the FRED sites look picture perfect!
