Fraser Valley Recreation Foundation
It is the mission of the Fraser Valley Recreation Foundation to assist the Fraser Valley Metropolitan Recreation District (FVRF) in initiating, supporting and continuing recreational programs, cultural events, health and wellness projects and educational opportunities for the benefit and enjoyment of residents and visitors of the Fraser Valley. In addition, the Fraser Valley Recreation Foundation will help in providing and maintaining venues and facilities for these endeavors.

The Fraser Valley Recreation Foundation offers advertising opportunities with the Fraser Valley Metropolitan Recreation District’s (FVMRD) Activity Guides, Website and E-Newsletter's to help benefit your business/ organization as well as our community. All of the money raised through this advertising campaign goes directly to the Fraser Valley Recreation Foundation (FVRF), which is a 501C3 for the Guardian Angel Scholarship Fund. All advertising donations are tax deductible.
The Guardian Angel Scholarship fund helps provide recreation opportunities for children in our community. Some residents are unable to participate in our recreation programs due to economic hardship; this scholarship fund provides scholarships to reduce or waive certain fees and charges.
By purchasing advertising with the FVRF, you are assisting in making programs more affordable for all families residing in the Fraser Valley while promoting your business/organization and showing support for the FVMRD.

Youth Sports
Grand County Youth Sports Leagues
Grand County boys and girls are introduced to team sports such as basketball and volleyball in 3rd grade. The Grand County Youth Sports Leagues were formed by local recreation departments in order to promote healthy exercise, teach basic skills and encourage socialization through team sports. The philosophy of these sports programs focuses on the athletic development of every participant and strays away from recognition of individual achievement and winning in general. Volunteer coaches are the lifeline of these leagues, spending their own time with children during practices and games. Each league offers 4 to 6 days of competition against teams from Granby, Grand Lake, Indian Peaks Charter School and Kremmling.
Youth Basketball League
January - February
This league hosts up to 70 aspiring basketball players per season. Teams are selected in three different divisions: Co-ed 3rd & 4th graders, 5th & 6th grade girls and 5th & 6th grade boys. The older teams play-full court, while the 3rd and 4th graders play half - court. The 3rd & 4th graders also play with a lowered 81/2 foot basketball hoop. Players rotate into the game in set timed rotations to ensure equal playing time for every participant.

Youth Volleyball League
March-April
This league hosts up to 50 volleyball players each season. Teams are separated into tow division: Co-ed 3rd & 4th graders and Co-ed 5th & 6th graders. The younger division plays with nets 6 inches lower that the older players. Each division plays with adapted volleyballs that are lighter and easier to handle. All players have equal playing time during each match.

Grand County Little League
Fraser Valley Baseball/Softball
May thru July
Fraser kids can start playing baseball at five years old. The Fraser Valley Baseball Program is supported by the Fraser Valley Rec in order to offer Little League baseball to local children. The program is utilized by approximately 125 youth ages 5-14, each year. At the age of five, children start the program with tee ball. They move on to the Machine Pitch league at the age of seven. At age 10, they start to play with a youth pitcher. The girls softball programs begin at age 10. Baseball is available for boys ages 13 and 14. All practices and most games are played at the FVMRD’s own Fraser Valley Sports Complex.

Adult Sports
The Fraser Valley Metropolitan Recreation District offers adult sports leagues year- round. During the winter, indoor basketball and volleyball keep everyone warm until summer when the Fraser Valley Sports Complex becomes full of hundreds of athletes enjoying every bit of the sunshine they can. Adult sports leagues are a wonderful outlet for exercise and socialization for the hardworking citizens of the Fraser Valley. Basketball League
Runs November-March
The FVMRD Adult Basketball League typically contains 8-10 teams. Teams play a 10 game schedule and conclude the season with a single elimination tournament.
The cost to sponsor a basketball team is $400
Volleyball League Runs November -March
The FVMRD Adult Volleyball League is a Co-Ed League with a 12 game schedule and concludes with a single elimination tournament.
The cost to sponsor a volleyball team is $300
Softball
League Runs June-August
The FVMRD Adult Softball League consists of modified Co-Ed League. All teams play at the FVMRD’s own Fraser Valley Sports Complex. Over 300 people participate in this league each summer, making it the focus of many spectators’ and families’ summer activities.
The cost to sponsor a softball team is $500
Sports unite, create friendships and togetherness. It's a great way to keep in shape while having fun with a team.
