Frasers Property Australia’s Community Development team will initially be working with residents to drive the community development program at Mambourin Green. As the community grows, we aim to see community leaders emerge and the connections between residents strengthen and blossom. Look out for Mambourin Green events, community gatherings and information sessions. If you have an idea for a group you want to start, an activity you want to participate in, or a community idea, email your ideas to the Community Development team and we can help you get this o the ground.

Community Centres Cultural Activities
Mambourin Green’s proposed Community Centre is planned to include a community hub featuring maternal and child health services and a kindergarten. Residents will also benefit from a future Council-run community centre with a kindergarten, library and arts centre nearby at Mambourin.
Close by is the Iramoo Community Centre which is available for residents to use.
Iramoo Community Centre provides a range of short courses, community programs and services for people of all ages and abilities.
The Mambourin Green community will celebrate a range of cultural events.

Reconciliation Action Plan Education & Childcare
With that comes a responsibility to respect and actively engage with the Traditional Owners of the land on which we develop, the Wadawurrung and Wathaurong Peoples.
Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) focuses on developing real, long-lasting and inclusive relationships, founded in a celebration of culture, to co-develop inclusive opportunities and outcomes with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in our projects.

Education is at the heart of the Mambourin Green community, with plans for a future P–6 government primary school, 7–12 secondary school and community centre with kindergarten.
Families also have access to Mambourin’s own Prep–12 private school, Good News Lutheran College. Located opposite Barrabool Park within the growing Mambourin Town Centre, the campus o ers a purpose-built learning environment focused on strong Christian values and a connected educational pathway from Prep, progressing through to their year 12 graduation.

Laa Yulta Primary School and Kindergarten provides the ideal first steps for young children.
Named after the Wadawurrung word for many stones, students can easily progress through three learning neighbourhoods, with the whole school community enjoying a hub, library, indoor multi-use court, sports field, canteen and music spaces.
Having the kindergarten and primary school together, makes for a smoother transition when the time comes for little ones to move up.
Aspire Early Education and Kindergarten is conveniently located in the Mambourin Town Centre, close to Club Mambourin, Good News Lutheran College, Laa Yulta Primary School and Wyndham Vale Primary School.
The state-of-the-art centre has eight homely rooms catering for children aged six weeks to six years old. With spacious indoor and outdoor environments, there is plenty of room for your child to explore, discover, and play.

Transport
While
driving the car is often unavoidable, other forms of transport can be better for fun, health and the environment.
Wyndham Vale Train Station is within Bus Route 194 and connects the Mambourin Town Centre to the Wyndham Vale Train Station via Black Forest Road and Ison Road. Frasers Property and Wyndham City Council continue to advocate for additional bus services to improve connections between local communities, public transport, services and everyday amenities.
Mambourin Green will be connected by an extensive network of cycling paths and walking trails, including both shared paths and on-road bike lanes.

Resilience during Emergencies
Resilient communities are those that bounce back from times of stress.
Taking time to think about emergencies and make plans helps you to think clearly, have a greater sense of control, and make better decisions when an emergency occurs.
Apart from having a plan and being prepared, another way to bounce back after stresses or emergencies is to have a great local support system. Get to know your neighbours and look out for those who may be at-risk.
