Stellenbosch Golf Club will be the proud host venue for the 115th Investec South African Open Championship, taking place from 26 February to 1 March 2026.
This marks only the second time in the tournament's prestigious history that South Africa's National Open will be held at this iconic Winelands venue, following the legendary 7999 edition won by local hero David Frost. Co-sanctioned by the Sunshine Tour and DP World Tour, the 2026 event carries heightened stakes, as the winner will receive a historic invitation to the 2026 Masters Tournament at Augusta National. The event will be broadcast worldwide by 28 different television networks to more than 500 million households.
Founded in 7904, Stellenbosch Golf Club is one of the oldest clubs in South Africa and is privileged to host the second oldest National Open Golf Championships in the world. Despite its championship pedigree, Stellenbosch Golf Club remains a community-focused golf club. Over the last century, it has evolved from a modest 9-hole course into a world-class 78-hole parklands layout, nurtured by a passionate local membership and a commitment to inclusivity. The course has been upgraded to ensure it will be a challenge for the best golfers in South Africa and the world.
