Charges laid over shooting Brodie Cowburn brodie@baysidenews.com.au SIX people have been arrested in relation to a Frankston North shooting which left a man with life-threatening injuries. A man was found with a serious gunshot wound on Armata Crescent at around 7.20pm on 4 November. The victim, a 36-year-old man from Dande-
nong, was taken to hospital. Police allege that the victim was shot during an altercation with a group of people. They arrested six people allegedly connected to the incident last week. A 21-year-old man was arrested in Burwood East on 5 November. He was charged with intentionally causing serious injury and aggravated home invasion, and was remanded to appear
at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 5 March. On the morning of 6 November police arrested a 23-year-old Mornington woman. She was charged with aggravated home invasion, affray, and three counts of common law assault. Later in the afternoon on 6 November, police arrested four people at a Carrum Down property: a 29-year-old man, 26-year-old woman, 24-year-old
man, and an 18-year-old woman. The two men were charged with intentionally cause serious injury and aggravated home invasion, and the two women were charged with affray, common law assault, and criminal damage. Police are still investigating the shooting. In a statement Victoria Police said “detectives from the armed crime squad are appealing for witnesses after a man was found with a gunshot wound
in Frankston North”. “Police have cordoned off the area and a crime scene has been established.
