THE FRA FUND
TOP
PRIORITY OF FRA’S FUNDRAISING EFFORTS
The FRA Fund impacts every part of the student experience—from classroom resources and faculty salaries to financial aid, professional development, and programmatic needs. Our goal is that 100% of our families participate each year. Gifts or pledges can be made anytime between July 1 and June 30.
CAPITAL CAMPAIGNS
MAKE
A TRANSFORMATIONAL IMPACT
Capital Campaigns are multi-year initiatives that provide funding to acquire, renovate, or build new facilities at FRA. These efforts rely on leadership gifts from families who want to make a transformational impact. Recent enhancements include the Scarlett Family Chapel, Weicker Center, Crockett-Tansil Fitness Center, turf field, new upper school and Bracken Green.
ENDOWMENT
A PERMANENT, SELF-SUSTAINING SOURCE OF
FUNDING
The endowment is a permanent, self-sustaining source of funding that supports FRA's long-term strength. Anyone can establish a fund with a minimum gift of $100,000, payable over five years. Endowment gifts promote diversity and help FRA recruit and retain the best and brightest faculty.
STARS & GUITARS
COMMUNITY
GATHERING EACH SPRING

Stars and Guitars is FRA’s premier community fundraising event, supporting high-priority needs and the endowment. Held annually in early spring, the adult-only evening includes a cocktail hour, dinner, silent and live auctions, and live entertainment. Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are available.
When you support FRA philanthropically, you are saying, “I believe in the mission of FRA, and I support its work with our family.”
FRA is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and, gifts to the school are tax deductible. Please consider making FRA – our students, faculty, and programs – one of your top three philanthropic priorities. American independent schools education historically owes its very existence to generous donors, and all independent schools to this day depend upon this tradition of philanthropic support. In addition to making tuition payments, your elective financial participation is extremely important, and giving at any level is truly appreciated.
Franklin Road Academy is a remarkable community that offers the unique combination of a challenging and supportive educational experience in an inclusive Christian community. At FRA, we encourage our students to be involved in all areas of school life and to participate in multiple co-curricular activities. We hope students develop their mind, body, and spirit through involvement at FRA, and we intentionally provide numerous opportunities for them to lead and serve others, both within the FRA community and beyond.

Similar to our students, we hope our parents will be fully engaged in the FRA community. With this in mind, we created this brochure to outline many of the ways you can become involved. There are numerous opportunities for you to utilize your time, talents, and resources to support the FRA community and enrich the lives of our students and teachers. If you are new to our school, we hope the information provided will assist in your transition to FRA; if you are already a member of the FRA family, this information will help you stay connected.
Thank you for choosing FRA and sharing your most precious resource, your children, with us. We are blessed to have your family here at FRA, and I appreciate your ongoing support for our school community. I look forward to seeing you on campus in the coming weeks and years.
Sincerely,
Sean Casey Head of School
