Free summer meal program available at Franklin County Schools
RHS celebrates graduation
By Staff Reports All schools in the Franklin County Schools system will provide a Seamless Summer meal program, at Belgreen, East Franklin, Phil Campbell, Red Bay, Tharptown and Vina, from Monday through Thursday, breakfast - 7:309:30 a.m,, and lunch - 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., June 5-8, 12-15, 20–22, 26-29; July 10-13, 17-20. All meals are free and served to children ages 0-18. Students do not have to attend a Franklin County school to participate. Roxy holds June 15 concert, plans other events By Staff Reports Lucas A. Shepherd will be performing at the Historic Roxy Theatre in downtown Russellville June 15 at 7 p.m. A native of Russellville, he is known for his secondbaritone voice blends, a balance of traditional and modern country music. He has worked with a variety of performers, including fellow Roxy performers Darryl Worley, Georgette Jones, James LeBlanc and his uncle, Earl “Peanut” Montgomery. Shepherd began singing in church when he was five years old. He wrote his first song, “Sorrow,” at seven years old. He attended Russellville City Schools and spent two years at Northwest Shoals Community College. Chris Williams will be joining him. Williams is a county singer and songwriter from
