First Metro Bank hosts FAME Girls’ Ranch donation drive By Staff Reports First Metro Bank recently launched its annual donation drive to benefit FAME Girls’ Ranch. First Metro Bank locations in Tuscumbia, Muscle Shoals and Russellville will accept donations until April 8. Needed items for the ranch include laundry detergent/pods, general cleaning supplies, paper supplies (toilet paper/paper towels), hand sanitizer, aloe, sunscreen, soap, allergy medicine, shampoo/ conditioner, body wash and gray full-size sheet sets. Monetary donations will also be accepted at any First Metro Bank location. FAME Girls’ Ranch is a 501(c)(3) nonprof it org anization that serves Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale and Lawrence counties as part of the Alabama Sheriffs Youth Ranches program. The ranch occupies the former home of the Rick Hall family in Russellville. The mission of the ranch is to provide a family-style residential home for abandoned and abused youths in an atmosphere where they can grow spiritually and physically into productive, responsible and happy adults.

PCHS FBLA Little Miss Dream Girl Pageant names winners By María Camp maria.camp@ franklincountytimes.com Hosted by Phil Campbell High School’s Future Business Leaders of America, winners across a variety of categories were named March 15. The pageant took place on the Phil Campbell Campus

of Northwest Shoals Community College. The funds raised from the pageant are used to help FBLA members attend the FBLA State Leadership Conference in Mobile. The students will be competing in various business competitions against other members around the state. The students that place in the

top four will be allowed to compete at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Orlando this June. Jaci Sutherland was named Dream Girl. “I feel so honored and so blessed to be crowned Miss Dream Girl 2024,” Sutherland said. “I want to thank Anna Brooke

Hutcheson for my hair and makeup. I want to thank Heather Miller for the spray tan and Shanda Barnett for the photogenic picture. I also want to thank my mom. I couldn’t get on the stage without her help. She is always my biggest supporter.” “Also, I want to thank Curtis Baker for

the ring he sponsored,” Sutherland added. “I want to thank everyone who came and supported me. I couldn’t have done it without all of you. Most of all, thank you to my Lord and Savior for everything he has blessed me with and given me.”

without an audience. The school wishes to thank the sponsors: Suzy’s Boutique, Grey Barn Boutique, Maggie J’s Boutique, Cherry Tree Lane and Studio 623. The school’s AV club, lead by Jonathan Grimes, filmed the

fashion show. “The Shelby Grissom Fashion Show has been one of my favorite parts of high school,” said Macey Welborn. “We get the chance to honor Shelby and all the things she loved. This fashion show

allows us to feel beautiful as well as represent Shelby in a beautiful way. Shelby left a legacy at Phil Campbell, and I’m so glad to be a part of something so wonderful!”
