Growing up, Frank Berenyi competed in soccer and wrestling, building endurance, focus, and a competitive temperament In his early teens, he turned to martial arts, training in kickboxing and jiu-jitsu, disciplines that demanded mental resilience and a methodical path to improvement. As a young adult, he opened his own martial arts school his first venture into leadership managing students, maintaining a facility, and building a reputation while competing at a high level and becoming known for consistency and discipline. He reinforced this with study in business operations, management, and strategic growth
He then moved into larger-scale ownership, operating multiple bars and nightlife venues across Maine Hospitality required operational precision, careful staffing, and disciplined financial oversight, with each venue running as its own operation This marked his shift from individual performance to organizational leadership, as he built teams, delegated responsibility, and created the structures that allow a business to run without the owner present at all times In the same period, he entered real estate, repositioning undervalued properties and building an owned-asset portfolio, which allowed him to diversify revenue and strengthen his financial position
His most significant undertaking is Marijuanaville, the cannabis retail venture he founded and grew into a network of locations across Maine His goal was to broaden access to medical cannabis in the state, with an emphasis on affordability and reaching a wider base of patients the business was built on the principle that access matters. Through measured growth, it expanded its footprint and reach to more communities over time
