Dear Guthrie Community, It is no secret that our current reality has put us all through a very trying time. Our faith in community has been tested. It has been heartwarming and encouraging to see people come together and lend a helping hand when needed. This is exactly why I want to encourage you all to SHOP LOCAL. When you shop local, you are supporting your community members. You are helping YOUR neighbor pay their mortgage, buy their groceries and send their children to college. When you shop with a local business, your hard-earned dollars support the place you call HOME. Local revenue supports city services like parks, roads, the fire and police departments. Local businesses also put money back into the community by donating to local charities, causes and supporting the schools. Local business owners are well-informed about our community and can suggest relevant products and can better understand your needs. As we get through this and life begins to go back to normal, it is my hope that we continue to support our neighbors and local businesses by choosing GUTHRIE.
