To celebrate three very special milestones in our travel story, we have created what we believe is our most ambitious escorted holiday adventure yet — an incredible journey through Cambodia and Vietnam, combining unforgettable experiences, luxurious hotels and a spectacular 7-night cruise along the Mekong River. Three milestones. One incredible celebration. This journey is particularly special to us as, during our adventure, we will be celebrating: 50 years of Joanie working in the travel industry. 25 years since we founded our own travel agency. Our 10th escorted group adventure.
Luxury, culture & unforgettable experiences Our carefully designed itinerary combines the very best of Cambodia and Vietnam, with stays in two luxurious 5-star hotels and a spectacular 7-night cruise along the Mekong River. The centrepiece of our journey will be sailing aboard the brandnew 5-star Lotus Symphony - one of the most luxurious vessels ever to sail the Mekong. And, of course, there will be plenty of opportunities along the way to celebrate, laugh, share experiences and create memories together.

Itinerary Day 1- Depart the UK (Tuesday 21 March 2028) Depart the UK on your overnight flight to Siem Reap. Day 2 - Arrive Siem Reap (Wednesday 22 March 2028) Arrive in Siem Reap and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Day 3 - Angkor Wat (Thursday 23 March 2028) Enjoy a full-day excursion to the magnificent Angkor Wat and surrounding temple complex. Included evening meal.
Enjoy a free afternoon to explore independently before the ship departs Phnom Penh and begins its journey towards the Vietnamese border. This evening features a Captain's Cocktail Reception and onboard entertainment. Day 8 - Chau Doc (Tuesday 28 March 2028) Arrive in Vietnam and explore the riverside town of Chau Doc. Visit a floating fish farm, Cham Village and Hang Pagoda, located on the slopes of Sam Mountain. Return to the ship and enjoy a range of onboard cultural activities as you continue sailing through the Mekong Delta.
Day 4 - Koh Chen - Embarkation (Friday 24 March 2028) Transfer from Siem Reap to Koh Chen, stopping for lunch en route. Embark the elegant Mekong Symphony and settle into your suite. This evening, meet your fellow guests and crew at a welcome reception before enjoying a traditional Cambodian Welcome Dinner as the ship begins its journey along the Mekong.
Day 9 - Sa Dec & Cai Be (Wednesday 29 March 2028) Cruise by sampan through narrow canals before arriving in Sa Dec. Visit the former home of Huynh Thuy Le, the inspiration behind Marguerite Duras' novel The Lover, as well as the colourful local market and Kien An Cung Temple. Later, explore Cai Be, visiting fruit gardens, traditional homes and learning about local rice wine production.
Day 5 - Kampong Chhnang (Saturday 25 March 2028) Travel by tuk tuk to a nearby village to discover traditional Khmer life. Learn about pottery making, visit the local market and see how palm sugar is produced before returning to the ship. Spend the afternoon relaxing onboard as the Mekong Symphony sails onwards.
Day 10 - Quoi Son (Thursday 30 March 2028) Explore the waterways and coconut groves of Quoi Son by sampan and traditional boat. Visit local workshops, sample tropical fruits, honey and regional delicacies, and enjoy a performance of traditional Vietnamese folk music. This evening, join the crew for a farewell reception and dinner.
Day 6 - Kampong Tralach & Koh Chen (Sunday 26 March 2028) This morning, enjoy a memorable ox-cart ride through the Cambodian countryside to a local pagoda, where you will meet monks and receive a traditional water blessing. After lunch, explore the village of Koh Chen, renowned for its bronzesmithing craftsmen. This evening, enjoy a traditional Khmer cultural performance onboard.
Day 11 - Saigon - Disembarkation (Friday 31 March 2028) Arrive in Saigon and disembark the Mekong Symphony. Transfer to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 7 - Phnom Penh & Border Crossing (Monday 27 March 2028) Discover Cambodia's capital on a guided tour including Wat Phnom, the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, and the poignant Tuol Sleng Museum.
Day 13 - Fly Home (Sunday 2 April 2028) Transfer to the airport for your overnight flight back to the UK.
Day 12 - Saigon & Cu Chi Tunnels (Saturday 1 April 2028) Enjoy a full-day excursion exploring vibrant Saigon and the fascinating Cu Chi Tunnels. This evening, gather for a farewell dinner.
Day 14 - Arrive back in the UK (Monday 3 April 2028)
