2018 ON SA LE NOW
NEW for 2018! We are pleased to announce that there will be a new ship joining the Amadeus fleet in 2018, Amadeus Queen. The new vessel will be sailing on the Danube, Rhine, Main and Dutch & Belgian waterways. A new on-board highlight is the indoor pool, the roof of which can be opened in good weather. In the evenings, this area may also be used for informative talks, functions and cinema showings.

It wasn’t just good it was fabulous – the taste, flavour combinations & presentation was superb. The staff made it too – from the minute you walked on board, nothing was too much trouble. They seemed genuinely happy to be working on the ship and this atmosphere was very infectious, giving you the feeling of familiarity and warmth, very quickly. It is a rare quality and one I don’t think you can attach a price to. All in all I think Amadeus is gold, not silver – excuse the pun and I shall certainly be shouting it from my GC roof tops!

Words from Wolfgang Lüftner The owners, Dr. Wolfgang Lüftner and graduate economist Martina Lüftner, have more than 40 years’ experience as cruise specialists, initially as exclusive charterers as part of long termpartnerships with various Danube shipping companies and then, from 1997, with their own company fleet incorporating the renowned Amadeus ships.

In 1997 they assumed operation of their first own river cruise ship. The company, meanwhile, operates 14 Amadeus ships on European waterways with a total of more than 2,100 passenger beds. The Amadeus fleet is regarded as a pioneer in the industry in the upper premium segment and the Amadeus Silver was named river ship of 2013, one of several accolades which the company has received.
