April has always been a special month for The Forwardian Arts Society, as it traditionallymarkedthestartofourseasonfromApriluntilouranniversarymonthinOctober.

While we do not have public events scheduled for the upcoming season, we are actively planning ambitious new initiatives for the coming months. These plans,designedtochampionandempowerthe creativecommunity,include:

The Forwardian Arts Magazine:Apremierpublicationshowcasingthediversetalentsofourcreative community,featuringoriginalliteratureandhigh-qualityvisualartandphotography.

The Forwardian Arts Network (FAN):Anewbroadcastinginitiativetoproducedynamicmultimedia content includingon-the-groundreporting,performancereviews,andartistinterviews fordistribution acrossdigitalplatforms

TheForwardianFilmFestival:Anendeavortocelebratelocalandinternationalfilmmakersbyhosting three distinct events: a local festival spanning specific counties in PA and NJ, a separate international festival,anda"BestivalofFilms"featuringtopregionalentriesfromotherfestivals

TheForwardianAwardians:Aninitiativetoformallyrecognizeexceptionalcreativeindividualsacross the Visual, Performing, and Literary arts. Winners will receive statues affectionately named “The Paulies”.

Getting“Unreal”at

TheGalleryat530MaininStroudsburg,PA,celebrated the successful launch of its "Unreal" exhibitionwitha well-attended Opening Reception on Saturday, March 14th. Showcasing the work of over 100 artists, the diverse collectionfosteredimaginativeandenthusiastic conversations among art lovers, who nearly filled the halls and exhibition rooms to capacity The evening's festiveatmospherewascomplementedbyaselectionof wineandrefreshments.

Locatedat530MainStreet,TheGalleryisdedicatedto exhibitingawiderangeofworkfromtalentedlocaland regional artists A dedicated Gallery Committee oversees its operations, with members including Jack andJillSwersie,JoniOye-Benintende,ElizabethTilley, Bob Moses, and Heather Lee They are supported by Sarah Collier, the Special Events Coordinator for the Sherman Theater, and Benedetto Marino, the official photographer. The venue is rented from The Sherman Theatre,whichrecentlycameunderthemanagementof thePoconoMountainVacationBureau

The “Unreal” Exhibition is open to the public until April 25th. The Pocono Center for the Arts (PCFTA) held an Artist's Reception for its “Fairies, Nature, and Magic” Fine Art Exhibition attheShawneeInnGolfResortin Shawnee-on-Delaware, PA, on Saturday, March 21st

The event drew a sizable gathering of artists and art enthusiasts Attendees enjoyed anafternoonofwonder and magic, viewing colorful paintings and examining sculptedfairyabodes.

During the reception, Jody Singer, Executive Vice President for the Visual Arts Division of the PCFTA, offered welcoming greetings and announced the organization’s upcoming 2026 events These include: the Broadway at the Stroudsmoor: Spring Edition, scheduled for Sunday, April 12th, at TheStroudsmoor CountryInn'sTerraviewfacilityinStroudsburg,PA;and the“AVoiceForTheEarth”exhibition,withanArtists’ ReceptiononSaturday,April25th,atTheShawneeInn inShawnee-on-Delaware,PA

The afternoon concluded with a lively raffle featuring prizes donated by Stroudsburg-based businesses: The Potting Shed, Just Like Magic Bakery, Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop, and Stories Past Vintage and Consignment. These locations are part of a local excursion offering additional fairy items related tothe exhibit Excitement filled the room as winning ticket holdersclaimedtheirprizes
