FROM THE BOARD
As we transition into the crisp and beautiful autumn months of September and October, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to all members and their families. The exceptional atmosphere of our club is a direct reflection of the character and dedication of our membership. In looking back over a wonderful summer season, I am especially grateful for your vital contributions to our community: Upholding Our Traditions: Your enthusiastic participation in our time-honored events preserves the unique heritage and values that make our club so special. Respecting Club Rules: Your diligence in maintaining the pace of play, caring for our facilities, and respecting operational guidelines ensures a seamless, premium experience for everyone. Adhering to the Dress Code: Upholding our visual standards across the golf course, courts, pool, and dining areas reflects the mutual respect we share and maintains our club's refined yet comfortable ambiance. Fostering Community: Your warmth in welcoming new families and your kindness toward our dedicated staff are what truly transform our beautiful facilities into a genuine home away from home. This past summer was truly one for the books, highlighted by incredible energy across our premier facilities. It was wonderful to see our golf course in such magnificent condition, our racquet program thriving with fantastic participation and competitive spirit, the pool serving as a vibrant and joyful retreat for our families, and our dining facilities delivering outstanding culinary and social experiences throughout the season. I’m proud to see the improvements and the continued refinement of our experience. Your Board is hard at work on our Master Facility Planning process. There will be separate communication with more details on the project status. We are looking forward to our member open houses in late fall when we will present the projects for your review. Thank you to the MFP Planning Committee, the Governing Committees, sub-committees, and my fellow Board members for volunteering their time and for their hard work. I am so thankful they are willing to take the time out of their personal and professional lives to contribute their expertise to this project that is a part of our club’s overall Strategic Plan. We are in good hands. Thank you for your continued stewardship, respect, and fellowship. You are the true heart of our club, and I look forward to sharing a spectacular fall season with you all. Look forward to seeing you at the Club.

FROM THE COO
One of the most rewarding signs of a vibrant Club is seeing our dining rooms filled with members, families, and friends enjoying time together. We are grateful that so many of you choose to dine at the Club and make it part of your family gatherings, celebrations, and time with friends. As participation in club dining continues to grow, we would appreciate your help by making a reservation whenever your plans allow. On many Friday evenings, for example, our team begins the night expecting approximately 80 to 90 members and guests based on reservations but ultimately serves more than 200 covers. We are always pleased to welcome members who decide to join us at the last minute, and we understand that spontaneity is one of the conveniences of club membership. At the same time, when actual attendance significantly exceeds the number of reservations, it becomes more difficult for our team to anticipate the staffing, preparation, and seating needs for the evening. A reservation does much more than hold a table. It helps our culinary and service teams: Schedule the appropriate number of chefs, servers, bartenders and support staff Prepare the right quantities of fresh ingredients and popular menu items Coordinate seating and pace arrivals throughout the evening Accommodate larger parties, children, guests and special requests Provide more attentive, timely, and personalized service The better we can anticipate the evening’s demand, the better positioned we are to deliver the consistent food quality, comfortable pace and warm hospitality that members should expect from their Club. We also recognize that plans change. If you need to adjust your reservation time or party size, or cancel altogether, a quick update to the Club is equally helpful. Releasing an unneeded table allows us to accommodate another member and keep our seating plan accurate. Walk-in dining will continue to be welcome whenever space is available. On particularly busy evenings, however, members without reservations may experience a wait or may not have access to their preferred dining area or table. Making a reservation is the best way to help us prepare for your arrival and provide the experience you have every right to expect. Thank you for your continued support of club dining, for the graciousness you show our employees, and for helping us create enjoyable experiences for every member and guest.

FORSYTH COUNTRY CLUB
FROM THE AGM
It never fails: August comes, and I find myself asking, “Where did summer go?” September and October are always exciting months here at the Club, filled with fall programming, golf, and the anticipation of the holidays just around the corner. That’s all still a go, but not what I am talking about in this letter. A longtime member, not to be named here, stopped me today and said, “Zach, I hardly see you anymore. I know you and the team are hard at work. I just wanted to say thank you for what you’re doing. We couldn’t be happier with life at Forsyth right now. I hope you and your family are doing well, but seriously, thanks again for everything you and your team are doing.” Stop right there. I miss you. Thank You. I’m Happy. Your family? Thank You. Let that sink in. The power of a genuine, heartfelt hello, even from a sweaty old man after a round of golf at 3:03 pm in the August heat. It changed the trajectory of my day. It changed my mindset. It brought me back to the most important thing at Forsyth Country Club: the people. Then it dawned on me just how incredibly easy it is to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily operations, married life with two kids under 4. The Club’s planning process, emails, upcoming budgeting cycles, membership satisfaction reports, new reporting dashboards, Master Facility planning, etc., etc. I hadn’t even looked up to acknowledge one of my favorite people just 25 feet from me. Shame on me. I was embarrassed. At the end of the day, bricks, mortar, and a stunningly beautiful golf course do not create a community. The people make the place. It is the people - you, our members, who fill the clubhouse with laughter, fellowship, and cherished family memories. It is our dedicated staff, the culinary team, the agronomy crew, the front-of-house servers, and everyone in between who all work tirelessly to bring those experiences to life. Prioritizing these relationships and fostering a culture of genuine care is, and always will be, our most important objective. While pursuing Operational Excellence and elevating our amenities is vital to our future, we must never allow the gravity of planning and operations to overshadow our true foundation. The foundation that brought us to today. As we move through September and October, I encourage all of us to pause, take a breath, and truly appreciate the community we share. Whether you are enjoying a busy Friday night dinner at the Grill, a Tuesday morning prayer group, Mahjong on the patio, teeing off on a brisk fall morning, or attending a seasonal member event, take a moment to prioritize the people, connect with the friends, family, and the team members around you that make this place so special. Thank you for your continued support, your partnership, and for being the very best part of Forsyth Country Club. I look forward to the spectacular fall season with all of you. - Zachary Crum, CCM Assistant General Manager FORSYTH COUNTRY CLUB

CLUBHOUSE OPERATIONS
August 19, 2026 marked exactly 90 days since I first arrived at Forsyth. I have lived in Southwest Florida for all 26 years of my life, and when I got the opportunity on April 28, 2026 to come join Forsyth Country Club in an interim Food and Beverage position, I couldn’t say no. Now, it’s not easy going somewhere where you don’t know anyone. You go, feel alone, uncomfortable, and vulnerable. You have all these questions in your head about whether you would be good enough for the team and if they would even like you. There’s a word that gets thrown around often in our world of professionals. That word is culture. Who has the best culture? Who is doing the most to strengthen it? I have been blessed not to have to search for another club, because the club I was looking for came to me. When Forsyth asked if I wanted to extend my stay from September until December, it was an almost immediate yes. Then, when they asked if I wanted to stay permanently, there was only one answer: yes. What I have witnessed here in 90 days at Forsyth has been unimaginable to my loved ones back home. They couldn’t believe we had pool parties, a break room, delicious employee meals every day, and a leadership team that recognizes that we are on the same platform that values all input and opinions, no matter how new you are or what position you are in. I realized that culture starts at the top and reaches every branch of an organization, touching each individual along the way. When that culture is nurtured, it flourishes into what I have experienced here at Forsyth. I believe our members experience the result of that every day, because people who feel cared for can genuinely care for others. Whether it’s our members, staff, or even the security guard at night asking if you would like a ride across the parking lot, I have never witnessed true hospitality as I have here. Our efforts as individuals to be great are made easier by the standard of excellence that already exists here, and I cannot wait to continue contributing to that. I feel honored to now carry the responsibility of helping others experience and protect the culture we have here at Forsyth Country Club. - Rafael Bonilla Food & Beverage Manager

CULINARY
Behind the Menu: How a Wine Dinner Is Created One of the questions I am asked most often after a wine dinner is, "Which came first, the wine or the food?" The answer is almost always the wine. While guests experience a seamless evening where each course seems to naturally complement the next, the process of creating a successful wine dinner begins months before the first glass is poured. What appears effortless on the night of the event is actually the result of careful planning, collaboration, tasting, and a great deal of creativity. When we begin planning a wine dinner, the first step is to learn the story behind the wines. Every winery has a unique identity shaped by its geography, climate, history, and winemaking philosophy. Before a menu is ever written, we spend time understanding what makes those wines special and what story we want to tell throughout the evening. Take our upcoming Chilean Wine Dinner - the wines reflect a remarkable range of growing conditions, from vineyards influenced by cool Pacific Ocean breezes to higher-altitude sites nestled in the Andes Mountains. Understanding those differences helps guide every culinary decision we make. Once the wines are selected, the tasting process begins. We evaluate each wine's acidity, tannin structure, fruit profile, body, and finish. Some wines immediately suggest a particular ingredient. A crisp Sauvignon Blanc may call for bright citrus and fresh herbs. A mineral-driven Chardonnay might pair beautifully with corn, shellfish, or creamy textures. A bold Cabernet Sauvignon may naturally lead us toward grilled meats, robust sauces, and earthy accompaniments. Contrary to popular belief, the goal is not always to match flavors that are identical. Often the best pairings are built on contrast. Acidity can balance richness. Sweetness can soften spice. A properly paired wine can elevate a dish, while an exceptional dish can reveal characteristics in a wine that guests may not have noticed on its own. Another important consideration is the progression of the evening. A wine dinner is much like a concert. Each course should build anticipation for the next. Lighter flavors typically lead the evening, while richer and more powerful dishes are reserved for the finale. We pay close attention to pacing, texture, and balance to ensure that no single course overwhelms the wines or the guest's palate. Of course, creativity must also be balanced with practicality. Every course must be executable for a full dining room while maintaining the same quality and presentation that we envisioned during the planning phase. This is where our talented culinary team truly shines. From recipe development and tasting sessions to final service execution, countless hours go into transforming an idea into an unforgettable dining experience. Perhaps my favorite part of the process is seeing guests discover something new. Sometimes it is a wine varietal they have never tasted before. Other times it is an ingredient, cooking technique, or pairing combination that surprises them. Those moments of discovery are what make wine dinners so enjoyable for both our members and our team. At the end of the evening, a successful wine dinner is about more than food and wine. It is about creating an experience, sharing a story, and bringing people together around the table. Every bottle has a story to tell, and every menu is designed to help tell it. We look forward to sharing the next chapter with you at our upcoming wine dinners and culinary events this fall.

Post Your Scores Today! Why same-day posting matters. The USGA requires all players to post their scores on the exact day played, before midnight local time. Posting your score by the end of the day you played your round ensures an accurate and fair handicap system for everyone at our club. Here is why it matters: It Powers the Playing Conditions Calculation (PCC) Every night at midnight, the system analyzes all scores posted at our course that day. If severe weather, high winds, or tough course setups made scoring difficult, the system automatically adjusts your score differential. If you delay posting, your score cannot be used in this daily calculation, which hurts the accuracy of the data pool for your fellow members. Your Handicap Updates Overnight The World Handicap System updates Handicap Indexes daily. Posting today means your correct, updated handicap is ready for your very next round tomorrow morning. It Prevents Penalty Scores Under the Rules of Handicapping (Rule 4.3), peer review is a core element of the game. The Handicap Committee monitors late postings. Unjustified delays or failure to post can result in the committee issuing a penalty score to your record. How to Post Please post immediately following your round via the GHIN Mobile App or online at GHIN.com. Thank you for helping us maintain the integrity of our club handicaps and ensuring a fair playing field for all member tournaments!
Let the Pros Do the Talking Our annual Pro-Am brought some of the best players in the game to Forsyth, and while they came for the competition, they left with plenty of great things to say about their experience. Two PGA Professionals who played in our Pro-Am for the first time shared some pretty incredible feedback about our club, our team, our golf course and the experience we work so hard to create. Here’s what they had to say: “Please allow me to say how unbelievable you and your facility are. The authenticity and genuineness of you and your staff can't be faked or coached. Your sincerity and attitude are contagious and authentic; and as a result, your club is all in, believes in you, and loves their home away from home.” “I wanted to reach out with a massive thank you to you and your amazing team for the awesome couple days at Forsyth Country Club for your annual Pro-Am.To start, the facility, staff, amenities, but most importantly the golf course were all phenomenal and provided a perfect test of golf. The golf course and its condition were awesome; all credit goes to the Director of Agronomy and his maintenance team. In addition, the golf operations staff were all extremely welcoming, hospitable and all worked proactively to meet and exceed all of our expectations during the tournament. The food and beverage was also a major highlight, and I enjoyed everything that was presented, kudos to the chef and his team.”

COURSE
It’s hard to believe that fall is just around the corner! Just as the seasons change, so too does the way golf courses are maintained. Emerging technologies are transforming golf course management, giving superintendents new tools to make better decisions, improve efficiency, and continue delivering exceptional playing conditions. A mentor once told me, “You can’t manage what you can’t measure.” That was more than 15 years ago, when our ability to measure key turf performance indicators was relatively limited. Fast forward to 2026, and we now have an impressive array of technologies that provide objective data to support our daily management decisions. In 2025, Forsyth Country Club adopted the USGA GS3 digital golf ball, giving us the ability to measure aspects of green performance that were previously impossible to quantify. In addition to green speed, the GS3 measures smoothness—how much the ball bounces during its roll—and trueness—how much the ball deviates from a straight path. The GS3 collects thousands of data points using built-in accelerometers and gyroscopes as it rolls down a standard Stimpmeter, providing valuable insight into putting surface performance.
Moisture Meter This season, we added another important tool: the USGA Moisture Meter. This technology has significantly improved our approach to moisture management. As readings are collected, each measurement is immediately transmitted to a mobile app and plotted using GPS coordinates, creating a detailed moisture map of every green. These maps allow the Golf Course Management team to compare current moisture levels against target thresholds established for optimum turf health and playability. The result is more precise irrigation, healthier turf, and improved consistency from green to green.
SkimTurf We are also currently evaluating SkimTurf, an innovative software platform that utilizes satellite imagery and advanced analytics to monitor turf conditions across the property. The system can estimate soil moisture, nutrient variability, and even identify areas that may be susceptible to disease before symptoms become visible. At Forsyth, our primary focus is evaluating SkimTurf as a water management tool. The satellite-derived moisture maps provide an objective view of moisture conditions across all closely mown turf areas, allowing us to compare that data with field observations and make more informed nightly irrigation decisions. By combining technology with on-the-ground expertise, we can apply water more efficiently while maintaining the high-quality playing conditions our members expect.

FORSYTH COUNTRY CLUB
Perhaps the most visible technological advancement this year has been the deployment of our six Kress RTK robotic mowers. These autonomous mowers are now fully operational and are responsible for maintaining the rough on the back nine. Considerable time was invested in mapping the course, establishing mowing boundaries, and refining their operating parameters. With those initial adjustments behind us, the mowers are now operating at peak efficiency, mowing the entire back-nine rough two to three times each week while maintaining a consistently uniform height with virtually no noise.
When You Encounter a Robotic Mower To help ensure the robots operate safely and efficiently, please keep these reminders in mind. DO
Leave all bunker rakes inside the bunkers to prevent the mowers from encountering them. Watch for "Robot Crossing" signs while driving your golf cart, particularly near charging stations. Enjoy consistently maintained rough with quiet, uninterrupted operation.
DON'T Touch or press the STOP button on a mower while it is operating. Attempt to free or troubleshoot a mower if it appears stuck. The system automatically alerts the Golf Course Management team, and the issue will be addressed promptly. Worry if you or your golf cart are in a mower's path. The mower's sensors will stop it approximately one foot before reaching an obstacle, navigate safely around it, and continue mowing. One question we've received is whether the robots can run over a golf ball. The answer is yes—they may pass over a ball, potentially leaving a very small nick that is generally less significant than the mark created by a well-struck iron shot. Technology is rapidly changing the way golf courses are managed around the world, and Forsyth Country Club is committed to embracing innovations that make sense for our operation. Our philosophy is straightforward: evaluate new technologies, adopt those that improve efficiency and sustainability, and use them to support—not replace—the expertise of our maintenance team. Ultimately, these investments allow us to spend more time focused on the details that matter most while continuing to provide our members with outstanding course conditions every day. - Matt Jones, CGCS Director of Agronomy

FAMILY ACTIVITIES
Behind the Scenes: Bringing Club Events to Life Have you ever wondered how our family events come together? While each event may only last a few hours, the planning begins months in advance. From brainstorming new ideas to putting the finishing touches on longtime favorites, our team is always looking ahead to create memorable experiences for Club families. As we build each season's calendar, our goal is to find the perfect balance between introducing exciting new experiences and reimagining the traditions our members have come to love. This year, we're thrilled to debut two brand-new events: the whimsical Very Merry Unbirthday Mad Hatter Adventure and the magical Nutcracker Tea. At the same time, we're excited to welcome back favorites like Fall Fest and our annual Halloween Party, each with fresh details to keep them fun and engaging. Sometimes, refreshing a tradition means creating something entirely new. This past spring, we introduced Spring Fling, a reimagined celebration that replaced our traditional Easter Egg Hunt and Brunch. By listening to member feedback, evaluating attendance, and exploring new ideas, we created an event that offered families a fresh way to celebrate together while maintaining the spirit of a beloved Club tradition. Every event is the result of months of collaboration. The Family Activities team researches trends, gathers inspiration from clubs across the country, meets with vendors, explores new entertainment, and carefully plans every game, craft, activity, and special detail. We also partner with many departments throughout the Club, including Events, Culinary, Banquets, Communications, Facilities, Grounds, and Member Services, to coordinate everything from menus and décor to logistics and room setups. After each event, the planning continues. We review member feedback, celebrate what worked well, and identify opportunities to make future events even better. That commitment to continually improving while preserving the traditions our members value is what keeps our event calendar fresh year after year. Whether we're introducing a brand-new experience or giving a longtime favorite a new twist, our goal remains the same: creating meaningful moments for Club families. We can't wait to share another season of fun, laughter, and lasting memories with you. - Meredith Koeval Director of Family Activities

RACQUETS
Staff Spotlight: Jennifer Luce Jennifer Luce came to Forsyth to start working in the Racquets Shop during the fall of 2015. She originally started as a part-time employee working mainly in the evenings and on weekends. Within 6 months, Jennifer took over the responsibilities of Pro Shop Manager in the spring of 2016. Fast forward 10+ years, Jennifer has established herself as the person to visit in the shop and has set the bar incredibly high with her customer service, job knowledge, and friendly personality. Jennifer is an asset to the Club and continues to provide members with the same level of service she did on day one. On behalf of everyone in the Racquets Department, thank you Jennifer for everything you do for Forsyth Country Club. - Adam Thomson, RSPA, PPTR, MRT Director of Racquet Sports

FITNESS
Member Story Highlight: Stephen Karagiorgis What made you decide it was finally time to make a change? There wasn't one single lightning-bolt moment — it was more that I got tired of waiting for "someday." I decided the best time to start was now. I had no more excuses. I lived across the street and could get to the gym in less than a minute. So, I walked into the gym ready to commit to personal training instead of just thinking about it. Looking back, what was one change you made that had the biggest impact? Consistency. Showing up regularly, morning after morning, made a bigger difference than any single workout or diet tweak. Once it became a habit instead of a decision I had to make every day, the results started compounding. How has your Personal Trainer impacted this journey, and name a few things that your trainer had you do that pushed you out of your comfort zone? Ryan Martindale has been central to this — it's not one particular exercise that's pushed me, it's his consistency in pushing me to keep building muscle by steadily increasing the weight. I started nowhere near where I am now, and today I'm using 80-100 lb dumbbells for most exercises. That kind of steady progression only happens because someone is in your corner making sure you don't plateau. And the "gym family" makes the mornings even better — if you're there early, Coach Odom is sure to put a smile on your face. What was the hardest part, and how did you get through it? As the owner of Little Richard's BBQ, I work long restaurant hours, and my eating schedule was the hardest thing to overcome. After a long day of work, all I wanted to do was go home and eat a big meal right before bed. I had to train myself to eat earlier instead — and honestly, it's still a struggle I work on every day. It's not something you fix once and move on from; it's something you keep choosing. I have to remind myself almost daily that I have a goal with my fitness journey and need to make good decisions throughout the day to make this "investment" in my health and wellbeing worthwhile. What would you say to someone who has been thinking about getting started but keeps putting it off? Stop waiting for the perfect moment — it doesn't come. Just show up once, then show up again. And find a place with the right people around you; having a "gym family" at Forsyth Country Club, with people like Coach Odom greeting you every morning, made this something I wanted to do, not something I dreaded. I am forever thankful for the connections and friendships that I have made through they gym here at Forsyth!
