Established in 1913, Forsyth Country Club has long been a cornerstone of Winston-Salem’s social and recreational community. What began as a modest nine-hole course has grown into a full-service private club that has welcomed dignitaries, celebrities, and generations of families alike. Our historic A.W. Tillinghast/Donald Ross–designed golf course and stately clubhouse stand as enduring symbols of a legacy of excellence that continues to thrive.

Our 18-hole championship course, attributed to Donald Ross and restored by Kris Spence, is an expansion of the A.W. Tillinghast original nine. It offers a classic layout with modern playability. With signature features like the “Bear’s Mouth” and “Hornets’ Nest,” the course challenges and delights players of all levels. A premier practice facility and robust tournament calendar make Forsyth a golfer’s paradise. 12,000 square ft. putting green 2 acre short game area with two greens and 5 bunkers 260 yard driving range 6,800 yard course

The Pool Pavilion at Forsyth is named for one of our very own former Crazy Ducks swimmers, Olympic medalist Kathleen Baker. A perfect blend of relaxation and recreation, the Pavilion offers leisurely swims, sun-soaked poolside lounging, and casual dining with family and friends. It’s the ideal place to unwind, connect, and create lasting memories.
Game, Set, Match
Forsyth’s racquet sports complex offers eight clay courts, two hard courts, four permanent pickleball courts, and two paddle tennis courts, all fully lighted. From weekly mixers and round robins to clinics led by RSPA-certified professionals, there’s always a way to get on the court. Whether honing skills or just enjoying a casual game, players of all levels find a welcoming community and plenty of opportunities to play.
