FROM THE BOARD

On behalf of the Board of Directors, thank you for your support of our management and staff as they work diligently to elevate your member experience. Thank you to all our Committee Chairs and Committee Members for your dedication to the governance of our club. As we move into the spring season and the beginning of summer, I am excited to share several enhancements to the Club’s dining program and facilities. These are all driven by your feedback and our continued commitment to elevating the member experience.

A Refreshed Culinary Experience

We have recently introduced a newly curated dinner menu developed by Chef Lance and his team. This fresh new look is a result of your input from our 2025 Annual Member Survey and our ongoing weekly dining surveys. The menu features a new Club Classics section, highlighting long-standing member favorites, alongside new selections that bring added variety and creativity

Elevated Surroundings

You will also notice a refreshed look in the Forsyth Grill, 1913 Room, and Centennial Bar. Updated furnishings, lighting, rugs, and artwork have created a more comfortable and refined environment We are incredibly grateful to Russ Towner and Zach Crum for their leadership in bringing this vision to life.

Strong Momentum

We are encouraged by the strong momentum in our dining program, with recent feedback reflecting an overall satisfaction score of 4.6 out of 5 and over 90% positive experiences. The community environment of our club creates spur of the moment opportunities to get together and enjoy a dining experience. As we build on this progress, your participation plays an important role We ask you to please make dining reservations in advance when possible. This allows our team to properly staff and prepare, ensuring a high level of service and consistency for everyone.

Looking Ahead: Summer at the Pool

The upcoming summer season is just around the corner, and we are excited for the opening of our pool for water programming on May 4. In partnership with Aquatech, we look forward to elevating your experience for members and families throughout the season.

There is great momentum across the Club, and we are excited about what lies ahead. Thank you for your continued support and for making Forsyth Country Club such a vibrant community. We look forward to seeing you at the Club soon.

Warmly,

FROM THE COO

May and June mark one of the busiest and most active times of the year at the Club. With increased usage across the golf course, pool, and dining areas, this is when the full energy of Forsyth is on display and our team is focused on delivering a consistently high level of service and experience for the membership.

The pool will officially open on May 4 for water programming, with full summer operations beginning on May 23. Our team has been preparing diligently, and we look forward to another exceptional summer at the Pavilion filled with activity, connection, and memorable experiences.

As the season begins, we ask all members to review and adhere to our pool policies, particularly regarding dress code and guest guidelines, to ensure a family friendly and respectful environment for all.

Pool Dress Code

Swimwear must be worn at all times when using the pool

Attire must be appropriate for a family friendly environment

Undergarments, thongs, cheeky or Brazilian cut swimwear, and overly revealing garments are not permitted

Swimwear must be clean and designed for pool use

Only pool approved swim diapers or safety pants are permitted for young children

Guest Policy

Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests at all times

Guest usage is limited in accordance with Club policies to ensure fair access for all members

Guests must adhere to all Club rules, including dress code and pool regulations

The Club reserves the right to limit or restrict guest access during peak periods

The condition of our golf course continues to reflect the outstanding work of Matt Jones and our Agronomy Team. As previously shared, Forsyth Country Club is ranked #16 in North Carolina by the North Carolina Golf Panel, a recognition that reinforces the quality of the course conditions at the Club. Maintaining these conditions is a shared responsibility, particularly as play increases. We ask all members to take pride in the course by following these simple practices:

Respect the Course

Repair all ball marks on greens

Fill or replace divots in fairways and tee boxes

Rake bunkers after use

Follow cart path rules and directional signage

Be mindful of pace of play and fellow members’ experience

We look forward to a fantastic season filled with great golf, family experiences, and continued pride in all that makes Forsyth Country Club exceptional.

Kind regards,

As the seasons begin to shift, the Club takes on a renewed sense of life and momentum. The patio fills with conversation, families linger a little longer after dinner, the golf course grows busier, and the property begins to reflect the vibrancy of the months ahead. It is one of the times of year that most clearly reminds me what makes Forsyth such a meaningful place to so many families.

At its core, Forsyth is a family club.

While we take great pride in the strength of our amenities and programming, from our 16th ranked golf course, to our dining, aquatics, racquets, fitness, and a full calendar of social events, but what truly defines this Club is the role it plays in the everyday lives of our members. Forsyth is where birthdays are celebrated, traditions are built, casual dinners become memorable evenings, and ordinary afternoons can turn into lasting family memories.

That is the essence of a true lifestyle club.

It is not simply about the offerings themselves, but about the environment they create. It is about fostering a place where families want to be, where convenience is key, members of every generation feel welcomed and connected, and where the Club becomes a meaningful part of the rhythm of daily life.

I have come to appreciate that even more through my three-year-old son, Thomas. Seeing Forsyth through his eyes is a powerful reminder that the most meaningful aspects of Club life are often the simplest. For Thomas, it is the people of Forsyth he loves most, followed closely by the candy bowls on Mrs. Cathy and Mrs. Danielle desks. There is something genuine in that perspective. It speaks about the warmth, familiarity, and sense of safety that make this Club so special to our families at FCC.

A fun event, an open lawn, familiar faces, a festive atmosphere, or simply the joy of being here with family can leave a lasting impression. That perspective keeps me grounded and reinforces how important it is that we continue creating experiences that feel warm, engaging, and genuinely family centered.

Spring and summer provide the perfect backdrop for that. These seasons draw people outside, bring families together, and create some of the most active and enjoyable months of the year at the Club. Whether it is a family event, dinner on the patio, time at the pool, or an afternoon spent enjoying the property, these are the moments that define the Club experience in such a meaningful way

As we head into May and June, I am excited for all that is ahead and deeply grateful for the role Forsyth plays in the lives of so many families. Thank you for being part of this remarkable community and for helping make the Club the warm, vibrant, and welcoming place that it is.

CLUBHOUSE OPERATIONS

Spring has officially arrived along with the pollen, and there is a renewed energy around Forsyth as we look ahead to pool season, outdoor dining, and a full calendar of events. Water aerobics and our Crazy Ducks swim team begin May 4, Family Nights move to the pool at the end of May, and Greenside Grooves kicks off on the Patio May 1. I am truly looking forward to an incredible summer with all of you.

The Forsyth Grill has been bustling over the past month, and we anticipate that excitement continuing into the summer season. To enhance your dining experience during our busiest evenings, we will be introducing a designated member waiting area in the Grill. Currently, 51% of our dining traffic consists of walk-ins - a meaningful number for a private club

What makes Forsyth special is our commitment to experience over volume. We are not focused on turning tables; we are focused on creating memorable moments. At times, this may mean a short wait so our team can deliver the level of service and hospitality you expect and deserve. We appreciate your understanding as we work to accommodate every member with care and intention.

As Brian Wilson so perfectly said, “Summer means happy times and good sunshine.” We could not agree more and we are ready to make this season one to remember.

CULINARY

As we move into May and June, the Club enters one of its most vibrant seasons. Longer days, fuller calendars, and a renewed sense of connection set the tone - and our culinary team is excited to be part of it.

Spring Refresh Menu Launch – Now Available

On Tuesday, April 14, we proudly introduced a refreshed and expanded dinner menu. This new seasonal menu blends proven Club Classics with creative new offerings curated by our culinary team, designed to feel both familiar and exciting.

The menu is launching as a 90-day test concept and will be presented in a folded paper format during this period. We invite you to explore not only the new selections, but also the menu presentation. Your feedback is essential and will directly guide the future of our dining program. Please share your thoughts in person and through the weekly dining survey.

We kindly encourage reservations through the mobile app or by calling the Forsyth Grill, as we look forward to welcoming you in to experience the new menu.

Looking Ahead

Throughout the spring and summer months, you will continue to see a variety of rotating pop‐up food stations throughout the Grill, patio, and pool areas. These stations are designed to be fun, interactive, and seasonal, bringing fresh energy to familiar spaces. From backyard BBQ favorites and seafood boils to street‐style tacos, smash burgers, global flavors, and chef‐attended action stations, each pop‐up offers something unique and timely. These concepts allow our culinary team to showcase creativity while responding quickly to the season, the setting, and member feedback, all while enhancing the overall dining experience with variety and spontaneity.

On behalf of our entire culinary team, we look forward to sharing a fantastic spring and early summer with you at the Club.

Thank you for your continued engagement and support.

COURSE

Azaleas are in full bloom, the turf is greening up, and longer days are upon us; these are clear signs that spring has arrived Fortunately, we came through the winter with minimal damage to the golf course. Over the next month, a few truckloads of sod will be installed to address and elevate minor blemishes across the property.

This is always an incredibly busy time of year as we wrap up winter projects and ramp up mowing operations in preparation for the season ahead. With minimal winter damage, the team has been able to “hit the ground running” earlier than usual, focusing on fine detail work such as head edging, cart path edging, and the installation of pine straw and mulch throughout the property.

As temperatures continue to rise, warm-season grasses will begin actively growing and gaining density. Once we achieve a consistent turf canopy, we will implement plant growth regulators to help manage growth, enhance density, and improve drought tolerance.

Another key focus this spring will be repairing select areas of the cart paths where concrete has become broken, unstable, or heaved due to tree root intrusion, creating potential trip hazards. Our GCM team will remove the damaged sections, address any subsurface roots, and coordinate with our contractor to install new concrete. Given the scope of the work, we anticipate this project will take approximately two to three weeks. Our plan is to remove concrete and set forms on Mondays while the course is closed, followed by pouring new concrete the next day. Traffic stakes will remain in place for several days to ensure proper curing

Around the clubhouse, you will notice the seasonal transition from winter annuals to summer plantings. Unfortunately, the holly hedge near the fire pit sustained significant winter damage and will be replaced. A new design featuring boxwoods and azaleas will be installed, providing enhanced structure and additional color throughout the year

Finally, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the entire Golf Course Maintenance team. Their dedication and commitment to excellence have helped Forsyth climb from 19th to 16th in the North Carolina Golf Panel rankings. While rankings are only one measure of success, they provide a meaningful benchmark for the team’s efforts If you see our staff on the course, I encourage you to share your appreciation.

As always, thank you for your patience as we complete these projects in the coming weeks. I look forward to seeing you out on the course soon.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES

May and June mark the start of one of the most exciting seasons at the Club as we welcome warmer weather and a full calendar of family fun.

We kick things off with the official opening of the pool on May 23, a sure sign that summer has officially arrived. Members can look forward to relaxing poolside, enjoying time with friends and family, and making the most of sunny afternoons at one of the Club’s favorite gathering spots.

The holiday weekend brings one of our most anticipated traditions with our Memorial Day Pool Party on May 25. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the start of summer with festive music, great food, and plenty of poolside fun for all ages.

Summer programming continues as camp sessions begin the first week of June and run through the third week of August. Campers can look forward to weeks filled with games, crafts, themed activities, and new friendships, making it a highlight of the season for many of our younger members. Contact me by email at m.koeval@forsythcc.com regarding available camps and dates.

Evenings at the pool will also feature special events throughout the summer, including a DiveIn Movie Night on June 6 beginning at dusk, where families can lounge poolside while enjoying a favorite film under the stars. Another member favorite returning this season is Waterslide Night on June 13 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, bringing extra excitement, laughter, and splash-filled fun for kids and adults alike. Make it a family night together at the pool or sign your children up for Kids Club where the Family Activities staff will bring your children to the Waterslide Night while adults enjoy childfree time around the Club.

With the pool open, camps underway, and special events on the calendar, May and June set the stage for a vibrant and memorable summer at the Club. We look forward to seeing everyone poolside!
