FROM THE BOARD Dear Members, As we reflect on another successful year at Forsyth Country Club, the Board of Directors extends its sincere gratitude to our leadership and operational teams for their tireless efforts and to you, our members, for your unwavering dedication and commitment to this vibrant community we share. Your engagement and support remain the cornerstone of our success. Operational and Financial Highlights This year, we achieved strong operational performance and maintained financial stability, ensuring that the exceptional member experience you deserve continues to thrive. Our results reflect prudent management and the collective efforts of our Board, staff, and members. Our members fully utilized every aspect of our campus in 2025. Approximately 42,000 meals were served in our a la carte dining areas, more than 26,000 joined us on the main level at various functions throughout the year, and over 2,000 youth activity visits occurred across the campus. Our golf operations team hosted more than 29,000 rounds of golf, almost 28,000 individuals joined us for racquet sports, more than 60,000 visits occurred at our Fitness Center, and more than 19,000 enjoyed our Pool Pavilion. Your Board of Directors continues to focus on achieving the highest levels of quality and service in our Food and Beverage operations. Thanks to our dedicated leaders and committed staff, member quarterly satisfaction surveys reflect strong indicators of success in this area. Forsyth Country Club remains financially strong. Currently, the Club’s total debt is $3.8M, which is our lowest level in over ten (10) years. With the guidance of Mr. Fletcher Steele, Finance Chair, Mr. Will Doss, Treasurer-Secretary, Mr. Kyle Slagle, CFO, and our Finance Committee, the Board decreased the Club’s total debt by $1.0M over the last twelve (12) months. Our strategic focus on reducing debt provides the Club with more financial flexibility. Forsyth remains seventeen (17) months ahead of schedule on our loan requirements. We improved our debt-to-equity ratio to 20% compared to 67% just 6 years ago, with an industry best-in-class target of 25% or less. Additionally, one of the most important indicators of a club’s financial health and stability is its growth of net worth over time. Maintaining an annual increase of 3.5% supports our obligatory capital needs. An annual growth rate of over 5% demonstrates an ability to meet aspirational capital needs to remain relevant for decades to come. This year’s increase to date of 6.5% results in total current net worth of more than $19M. Considering Forsyth’s historical 4-5% annual attrition rate, maintaining a strong pipeline of prospective members is vitally important for our long-term financial success. In 2025, we exceeded our budgeted goal of thirty (30) new members (33 new members approved), reinstated three (3) members, and experienced a significant decrease in resignations (31 year-to-date in 2025; 52 in 2024). Thank you to our Membership Director, Mrs. Danielle Eldridge, and our Membership Committee Chair, Mrs. Samantha Hollack, for their exceptional leadership and tireless efforts to achieve these remarkable results. Forsyth currently has 734 resident and senior members combined, with a Board approved cap of 745 for these categories. We deeply appreciate your support in driving new member recruitment while the Board continues to carefully monitor facility utilization and access across our campus to ensure an exceptional experience for you and your guests. 2026 Strategic Board Goals Critical to Forsyth’s ongoing success is the establishment and effective execution of strategic goals for the following year. This collaborative process between the Board and our leadership team provides focus for our teams’ fulfillment of our Strategic Plan pillars (Membership; Member Experience; Financial and Capital Planning; Operational Excellence; and Brand and Communications). The following are just a few of our 2026 goals: Financial and Capital Planning: Continued development and presentation of the Master Facilities Plan to the membership with priority phased projects. Maintain a strong financial position through the establishment of a capital reserve funding policy for future golf course renovations and clubhouse updates in coordination with the Master Facilities Plan and drive favorable operating results. Member Experience: Enhance member dining services to deliver consistently excellent experiences. Create service vision, recruit and retain top-tier staffing, and create action items to address 2025 Annual Member Survey opportunities. Brand and Communications: Review, monitor, and update, as needed, all communication channels to ensure the Club’s brand identity is appropriately reflected. Create a digital traditions archive of member events and activities. We remain focused on best practices with respect to both governance and member communications. We strive to provide you with timely, clear, and transparent communications regarding operational and strategic initiatives. Every day, team members in each service area are accountable for designated action items that individually and collectively enhance your overall member experience. A preliminary review of our 2025 Annual Member Survey results support that Forsyth Country Club is stronger than ever before. Our overall membership satisfaction rating increased from 91% in 2023 to 93.5% and the adjustment from 49 in 2023 to 58.5 in our net promoter score is an impressive and meaningful change. Both metrics indicate our members’ strong advocacy for and loyalty to Forsyth and reflect that the Club currently meets your expectations at the highest benchmark levels. A comprehensive review of our survey results will be shared in early 2026. Thank you for your trust, support, and partnership. That feedback has been instrumental in guiding improvements in service, programming, facilities planning, and overall member engagement. Reflections on an Incredible Table One Evening Thank you to the members who joined me for Table One on Friday, October 24. I truly enjoyed sharing a very personal side of my craft with you. The dinner wasn’t just about showcasing fall flavors or preparing a six‑course tasting menu. It was an opportunity to open the door to what Certified Master Chef (CMC) training really looks like. The CMC exam demands absolute precision, discipline, timing, and technical mastery, and Table One gave me the chance to demonstrate that process in real time. From the clarity of the beef consommé, to the detail in the mousseline-stuffed squab, and the exactness of the lamb preparations, every course reflected the standards and structure of CMC practice. What made the night special was the atmosphere: intimate, curious, and filled with genuine enthusiasm for the craft of cooking. The questions, conversations, and engagement are exactly what fuel experiences like this and push me to keep refining my work as I continue my CMC journey. I look forward to creating more memorable experiences; another Table One is reserved for February 20. See you in the kitchen!

Happy New Year from the Golf Course Maintenance Department! As I write this, we are experiencing our first arctic blast of the season. While the weather can be frigid at times, there is still plenty of important work being done on the golf course. As we do each winter, we have painted all greens, tees, approaches, and fairways with turf paint. These applications provide clear definition of short-cut turf, and the darker surface helps retain more heat during the winter and early spring months. This typically results in earlier spring green-up—often by as much as two weeks—when compared to unpainted turf. Winter is also the ideal time to prune select trees and landscape plants around the golf course and clubhouse. The GCM team has developed a detailed list of pruning projects that will improve plant appearance and ensure long-term health heading into the next growing season. While we have made many improvements in recent years by “limbing up” strands of trees in areas such as #4 and between #12 and #13, these areas require routine maintenance as new growth develops around previous pruning cuts. In addition to on-course work, the GCM management team has been focused on continuing education by attending several turf conferences around the country. In November, Superintendent, Terry Woods, Senior Assistant, Kevin Coppel, Head Equipment Technician, Brice Westbrook, and I, attended the Carolinas GCSA Conference in Myrtle Beach. This is the nation’s largest regional turf conference and features a robust trade show along with continuing education opportunities. I also participated on a panel with two fellow superintendents, presenting on Best Management Practices for Ultradwarf Putting Greens in the Carolinas. Looking ahead to February, Assistant Superintendent, Connor Floyd, and I, will attend the national Golf Industry Show in Orlando, Florida. This premier event brings together superintendents from across the country and around the world for several days of networking and professional development. Success—both on and off the golf course—is the result of continued investment in the process. Whether through preventive maintenance like pruning or staying current with best management practices in the classroom, the future is only as strong as the preparation behind it. A Look Back at a Magical December + What’s Ahead This Winter! December sparkled with holiday cheer at the Club! 382 people gathered for a joyful Breakfast with Santa, 73 gingerbread houses were decorated, 250 cookies were baked during Cookies with The Clauses, and 40 kids cozied up in pajamas for the festive Polar Express PJ Party. As we step into January and February, there’s plenty to look forward to at Forsyth. Online camp registration opens on Saturday, January 17! Sunday. February 8 | 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm First Child: $32 | Additional Children: $20 Bring the kids for an afternoon of tail-wagging fun on February 8! Enjoy special visits from Bluey and Bingo, a cozy Pet-a-Pup station, and the chance to create their very own furry friend at our Stuff-a-Pup workshop. We’ll also be tuning in to the Puppy Bowl on TV—perfect for cheering on the cutest competitors around. It’s an afternoon full of play, creativity, and puppy magic—don’t miss out!
