A unique skill development camp that simulates and exaggerates game level pressure and is proven to develop "game ready" players in a short period of time. This "pressure-free pressure" encourages young ladies to experiment and try new things in a very encouraging environment. TEAMS OF TOMORROW Teams of Tomorrow (TOT) is a unique music and movement basketball handling program for boys and girls ages 3-7. TOT teaches 25 ball handling skills, eye-hand coordination, agility, and gross motor skills using FUN music! TOT lessons also incorporate academics! We cover mixing colors, shapes, numbers (in English, Spanish, & French,) senses, and vowels! There is no other program around that involves the right and left sides of the brain and teaches athletics, agility, and academics! Don't miss out! PRO SHOT SHOOTING SKILLS Pro Shot Shooting System is an internationally acclaimed shooting skills development program that has been used to develop athletes at every level of play. ADULT TENNIS 101 Our Tennis 101 program is for players new to tennis or returning to the sport after some time and will focus on basic strokes and fundamentals! Class will teach forehand, backhand, serve and volley, and scoring. PLEIN AIR PAINTING
HANDBUILDING CLAY
Students will get to enjoy the great outdoors while working on their landscape painting skills. Each student will pick up a medium including oil, watercolor, or acrylic. The sessions will meet at Sawnee Mountain Preserve Visitor Center. We will cover set up, materials, and ways to both block in as developing a painting that reflects nature while on site. A suggested supplies list will be given at registration.

COMMUNITY RECREATION
GYMNASTICS K+ Gymnastics K+ classes are for children who are already in school and must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2022. Children will participate in a variety of gymnastics activities in a structured and success-oriented class. Students will tumble, jump, balance and swing in a fun and safe atmosphere. Students are grouped by age and skill level to give them the best opportunity to succeed from session to session. As skill mastery occurs new and different skills are explored. Parents are asked to wait outside the classroom during the class. There will be a parent observation day on the last day of each session for classes that require parents to wait outside the classroom. Dress code, unless noted, is tucked in shirt with shorts/pants.

This is a comprehensive martial arts program that teaches a variety of styles including Karate, Jujitsu, Aikido, and traditional Korean Taekwondo. Focus is on practical self-defense, discipline and growth of the individual student as well as courtesy, respect, integrity, perseverance and indomitable spirit. Class is taught by Debbie Smith, 5th Degree Black Belt and certified instructor. Rank promotions are earned through ongoing assessment. Additional fees apply for testing and uniforms. All Level class is for white through black belts. Class options are Tuesday and/or Thursday 5:45 - 6:45pm. INTERMEDIATE HAPKIDO
ISSHIN-RYU & SHINKENDO
Frankie McDonald, 5th Degree Master Instructor, will teach this Korean martial art form that employs kicks, punches, joint locks and other self-defense techniques. This class is designed to teach students discipline, self control, and increase confidence. Students must be approved for the Intermediate Class.
Isshin-Ryu, a traditional form of Okinawan Karate, emphasizes practical teaching and hands-on instruction to teach self-defense. Students will use natural stances and body posture in order to develop powerful punching and kicking techniques. While using Isshin-Ryu to increase their self-defense, physical fitness and mental acuity, students will also develop the lifelong benefits of self-discipline and self-confidence in their everyday life. Shinkendo is a non-competitive martial art inspired by over 1200 years of samurai history and its techniques are taken from the practical methods once used by the samurai. Students will learn the five important aspects of swordsmanship: swinging, drawing, solo forms, sparring and test cutting (outside of class only). While learning Shinkendo and its principles, students will develop their mind and body, learn an important cultural art and increase their self esteem. FCA SPORTS PROGRAMS In FCA Sports Afterschool, students will have fun rock climbing and tree climbing and have opportunities to grow in their faith through FCA’s “The Core,” 8 essentials to strengthen your faith. A Participant Information Form must be completed and filed with the Therapeutic Recreation (TR) office prior to participating in any program or event. The form contains extremely important information which is necessary for staff to plan and execute safe and enjoyable programs. THERAPEUTIC RECREATIONS CAMPS TR OUT-OF-SCHOOL CAMPS These camps will provide a fun and structured schedule of indoor activities including games, arts and crafts, music, sports, and theme related activities. Camp hours are 9 am to 4 pm and extended care is available for an additional cost, starting with early drop-off at 7:30am and extending to late pick up until 5:30pm. Campers will need to bring a non-perishable sack lunch, 2 snacks, and a water bottle. Each child must have a completed Therapeutic Recreation Participant Information Form and a Seizure Information Form (if applicable) on file prior to the start of camp. Staff ratio will be 1:3 - 1:4 depending on the number of campers. Parents/ guardians must sign in and out every day. An ID will be required for pick-up. Any change in pick-up or carpooling arrangements must be arranged in the morning for that day's afternoon pick up. The charge for late pick up is $1 per minute late per child. In order to best meet each camper's individual needs, we ask that parents/ guardians inform us of any accommodations needed at the time of registration and/or at least 10 days in advance of the camp. B.E.S.T. Fit ( Balance, Endurance, Stability, Tone) is a spinoff of a Barre Class. We will replace the Barre with chairs, so that everyone can properly distance themselves from each other. DREAM RUNNERS
INTERMEDIATE WEIGHTLIFTING
This 11-week special needs beginner walking/running program will meet at Fowler Park Track. Participants are paired with a program buddy. The program finishes with a 5K walk/run event.
This class is an intermediate level weightlifting class. Instructors will assist participants in designing an individualized workout plan concentrating on strength, flexibility and endurance. Workouts will include isolated muscle groups and circuit or pyramid weight training. Depending on the skill level of the participant, there may be some free weight training sessions. Participants will learn proper warm-up and cool-down exercises as well as weightlifting terminology (including reps, sets and rest intervals). LOCATION: Central Park

Refund and Transfer Policies To request a refund, please visit parks.forsythco.com and click on How do I? A full refund will be issued for cancellations made by the parks and recreation department. Transfers/changes follow the same guidelines as refunds. A 10% administrative fee will be added to all refunds effective April 1, 2022 Class: A refund will be issued for requests received at least 10 full business days prior to the first class date. Subsequently, a 50% refund will be issued for requests received at least 5 full business days before the start of camp. No refunds thereafter. Camp: A refund will be issued for requests received at least 10 full business days prior to the camp start date. Recreation Center Pass: A refund or upgrade will be issued for requests received within 10 full business day of purchase. No refunds thereafter.

Athletic League: No refund will be issued except under special circumstances as approved by the department. For special requests, please email parkweb@forsythco.com Facility Rental: For community buildings, pavilions, and recreation center facilities, a refund will be issued for requests received at least 10 full business days prior to the rental day. No refunds thereafter. All rentals over $300 are subject to a $100 non-refundable fee at the time of refund. For all other rental types, please check the rental agreement.
