He is Myself: the Art of Nyaparu (William) Gardiner is a touring exhibition curated by FORM in partnership with Art on the Move, featuring the work of Nyangumarta/Warnman/Manjilyjarra man Nyaparu (William) Gardiner (1943-2018). Mr Gardiner’s award-winning art depicts his experiences and memories of working as a stockman in the Pilbara and the Kimberley, in the decades following the 1946-49 Pilbara Aboriginal Pastoral Workers’ Strike. Opening in July 2022 at the Spinifex Hill Project Space in South Hedland, the exhibition tours to other venues in Western Australia, including The Goods Shed in Perth.
