Parking and Entering into the Club Please be reminded that all hourly staff should enter the Club through the entrance off of the Ballroom Veranda, located near the Terrace Room and Men’s Locker Room. Uniformed staff should not enter through the main entrance of the Club. Staff not in uniform should enter through the loading dock. Additionally, all staff should park in the parking lot across the street from the main Clubhouse, adjacent to the Tennis Facility / Pickleball Courts. Staff should not be parking in the main member lot. If you have any questions, please talk to your supervisor. Thank you for your cooperation.

Samantha McLemore Q: How long have you worked at Forest Hills and what do you do? A: 1 year- I work in the Golf Shop at the front desk. Q: What is your favorite thing about working at FHCC? A: The guys in the Golf Shop make it easy to love what I do every day; we have fun but always make sure our job is priority. Q: What do you like to do in your free time? A: I used to have horses and when they passed away, I started playing golf with all the new free time I had. Q: Tell us a random fact about yourself. A: I worked at a Girl Scout Camp for six summers teaching girls from ages 5-18 how to ride and take care of horses. Through the summers I was a head wrangler, waterfront director, and camp director certified in CPR, first aid plus, wilderness first aid, small craft safety, and a waterfront certified lifeguard. Q: What are you watching on Netflix (Hulu, AppleTV, etc.)? A: I don’t watch much TV; I prefer sitting on my porch with my two dogs and cat watching the Augusta Wine Country scenery! Q: What is your favorite memory from working at the Club A: The first tournament I worked was Member-Member 2021 and the whole weekend was electric. I love the membership and working with all the staff here. I remember working about a 13 hour day and it didn’t feel like work at all! Q: What is a piece of advice you remember from a great boss? A: The job you are doing is “The best job ever.” No matter what you are doing, where you are. It doesn’t matter how insignificant it may seem at the time; it still matters. Having a job and the ability to succeed is the best thing you can hope for. I am currently working the best job ever, thank you!

A safe workplace is more productive, happy, and healthy. To promote workplace safety and constant improvement, we’re sharing a couple of safety tips. Employees are responsible for following the safe work practices of their employers.

1. Keep floors clean and dry. Where wet processes are used, maintain drainage, and provide false floors, platforms, mats, or other dry standing places where practicable 2. Provide warning signs for wet floor areas 3. Wear appropriate waterproof non-slip footwear.

Rules and Regulations for the 2022 Season • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

The course will not be open to employees if closed to Members on the previous day. The course will not be open to employees when an outside event is scheduled or on Mondays prior to the Men’s Invitational (May 9, 2022). The course will not be open to employees on Tuesdays when the course is open on a Monday. All play will begin at 1:00pm or later on hole #1 unless otherwise instructed by the Superintendent. Each golfer must have their own clubs and bag. Metal spikes are not permitted. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the golf course. Appropriate golf attire is required. This includes shirts being tucked in and hats worn forward. For questions regarding attire, contact the Professional Staff. The driving range is closed on Mondays. All groups must play in under the allotted pace of play: 9 Holes: 2 hours, 10 minutes 18 Holes: 4 hours, 15 minutes Players must allow faster groups to play through. All players must repair ball marks and divots. Employees must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license to use a golf cart. The following dates will be considered “CART DAYS” in which carts will be available for employees: June 13 June 20 June 27

*These dates are subject to change to accommodate any possible Monday outings. All carts must be off the course by 7:00 pm. ON CART DAYS ALL CARTS MUST REMAIN ON THE PATHS AT ALL TIMES.

Any employee in violation of the above rules will be subject to a suspension of their golf privileges. The length of suspension will be at the discretion of the Head Professional and the Superintendent. Registration: All employees must register with the golf staff by the cart barn area. The names of all players, including any guests, MUST be given to the Golf Staff at the time of registration. Staffing: A Member of the Golf Staff will be present at the Club to provide carts and check-in players. In addition, the Staff Member on duty will be responsible for the cleaning, parking, and closing of the cart barn following play. The Professional Staff reserves the right to suspend cart privileges due to weather, lack of staffing, or any other reason that is in the best interest of Club Operations.
