PAHSA LEADERSHIP TRANSITION SUPPORTED BY FOREFRONT LIVING

Following the announcement last spring that longtime Executive Director Cindy Ray would retire after 14 years of service, the Presbyterian Association of Homes & Services for the Aging (PAHSA) Board of Directors launched a search for the organization’s next leader. A committee was appointed to guide the process and that effort resulted in the selection of Susanne Shaw as PAHSA’s next Executive Director. Read more.

HEARTS FOR INDEPENDENCE

A group of Bella Vida (BV) VIPs gathered to “craft for a cause” and make valentines for the Bulverde Branch of Meals on Wheels. Senior Living Independence Month is an opportunity to highlight the vision for Bella Vida (BV). The community is being designed with independence at its core. Staff positions dedicated to wellness and care coordination will enhance resident access to fitness resources and address changing needs. BV is experiencing many milestones as construction progresses. But the development that we are most excited about is Sally Casey’s return to the office. Read more.

FLF WRAPPED

Forefront Living Foundation (FLF) teammates (Cailynn Beane, Diane Fullingim, Sarah Jones and Lisa Whisenhunt) led a Lunch and Learn session entitled “FLF Wrapped,” an entertaining take on a yearend recap that focused on the numbers and stories behind the FLF’s work in 2025 The presentation highlighted the impact of 2,851 gifts totaling nearly $2 million from 1,093 donors Read more

The Forefront Living Foundation (FLF) visited St. Joseph Village (SJV) in Coppell, Forefront Living’s newest community, for a Valentine’s resident meet and greet. Tracy Bardfield has worked as a treating therapist with Forefront Living since December of 2017, first serving at Presbyterian Village North She was recently promoted to Rehabilitation Manager at The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW) where she is also a physical therapist assistant. Tracy is passionate about keeping OAW’s senior adult population strong, safe and healthy so they can continue living confidently with independence. Read more.

CRISTO REY PARTNERSHIP NOW AT OAW

Forefront Living (FL) is proud to continue partnering with Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep and recently welcomed two workstudy students to The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW). Each week, 9th grade student, Jose Abrego, and 11th grade student, Miguel Mojica, join the OAW team on Monday and Wednesday as part of the Cristo Rey Corporate Work Study Program. Miguel works in Human Resources (HR) every Monday and Jose works on Wednesday, rotating between a few departments. This innovative and hands-on experience provides Cristo Rey students with valuable professional skills while serving seniors. Read more.

DALLASKA AT PVN

During the week of January 26, a winter storm (nicknamed “Dallaska 2026”) blanketed the Dallas/Fort Worth area with freezing rain and ice, creating hazardous travel conditions.

Even so, Presbyterian Village North (PVN) teammates rose to the challenge, demonstrating extraordinary commitment and outstanding care for residents. Read more.

St Joseph Village (SJV) will soon unveil a refreshed website designed to reflect the vibrant community it is today The update, created in partnership with Inspire Senior Marketing, will bring the site into alignment with Forefront Living brand standards and overall tone

The new website will feature streamlined navigation and clearly presented information, making it easier to explore life at SJV, learn about available services and get a feel for the campus Read more

INDEPENDENCE AND CARE THROUGH THE WINTER STORM AT SJV

St. Joseph Village (SJV) is a place where connection, care and everyday moments come together to create a true sense of home. While independence is encouraged and celebrated, what truly defines life at SJV is the steady presence of teammates who are always ready to offer support, companionship and a little extra joy whenever it is needed.

That spirit was on full display during DFW’s recent winter storm. As icy conditions made travel challenging, SJV residents felt reassured by the thoughtful preparation taking place throughout the community. Knowing they were safe, informed and cared for brought peace of mind during an otherwise uncertain time. Read more.
