Secret Service Icon Shares Inspiring Tales of Bravery and Service In mid-October, Forefront Living welcomed Kathryn Childers, an icon known for shattering glass ceilings and paving the way for women in the U.S. Secret Service, to the Bob and Mary Wright Conference Center, for a series of presentations. The Outlook at Windhaven The Presbyterian Village North (PVN) campus is buzzing with excitement in anticipation of Bezos Academy North Dallas opening its doors to young minds on November 7, 2023. Nestled on the southern end of PVN’s campus, the tuition-free, Montessori-inspired preschool is poised to revolutionize early childhood education in North Dallas. With a recent series of tours designed especially for PVN residents to catch a glimpse of the enriching learning environment, the Academy has already woven itself into the fabric of the PVN community. TEXAS SMOOT DAY: a new PVN tradition During a casual lunch at the Presbyterian Village North café, two residents, Mike Amis, 82, and Bob Kerwin, in his 90s, were reminiscing about their college fraternity days. Amis, a spirited storyteller, fondly recalled his time as a Phi Delta Theta at SMU, while Kerwin, a retired tech pioneer from Bell Labs and an MIT graduate, shared a captivating tale about a Lambda Chi Alpha chapter at MIT.
