Iodized salt, once a public health success in the US for combating iodine deficiency, has declined in popularity with the rise of specialty salts such as kosher and Himalayan. Nutritionists note that while artisanal salts enhance flavor, they are not nutritionally superior to iodized salt. This shift has raised concerns about a potential resurgence of iodine deficiency, which can lead to hypothyroidism and other health issues. – Source: Food & Wine

An architect by trade, and home cook to his family, Ted Pappas’ upbringing in Chicago and his Greek heritage permeate his cooking style and passions in life. In 2023, Ted took on his first challenge in the national spotlight as a home cook by competing on The Great American Recipe, which aired nationally on PBS, along with being featured on an episode of PBS Foods’, Pan Pals. Kikkoman® Gluten-Free Hoisin Sauce is a versatile, complex sauce with the perfect balance of sweet, sour and savory. Think of Gluten-Free Hoisin as an Asian BBQ sauce. It’s that bold. And that versatile. Kikkoman® Gluten-Free Hoisin Sauce is thick and rich, so it clings and spreads well. When you’re cooking, a spoonful of GlutenFree Hoisin can add that something special to round out the flavors of any dish.

• As a dip for hearty meats like beef, pork, and chicken wings.
• As a marinade to infuse your meats with umami.
• For basting, like a BBQ sauce, during grilling or baking.
• For seasoning during cooking.
• Instead of tomato sauce for on-trend Asian Pizzas.

BAGELS BY THE BOOK
870 S. Milwaukee Ave. LIBERTYVILLE, IL 847-367-7811.

This is a cute bagel shop where you can grab your order to go or sit down and enjoy your meal. They also serve Big Shoulders Coffee, making it a great spot for breakfast or a morning coffee break. On my visit, I picked up an Asiago bagel, a cheddar bagel, and a blueberry bagel. To go with them, I couldn’t resist trying two of their homemade cream cheese spreads: scallion and strawberry. Everything was delicious! The bagels were fresh, flavorful, and had a wonderful texture. The homemade cream cheese was the real standout – it was incredibly light, smooth, and creamy.
CREAMERY • 506 E St Charles Rd, Lombard, IL 630-519-4377.
This is a family-owned ice cream shop with handcrafted ice cream, specialty hot dogs, Italian Beef, sides and more. They specialize in sundaes, shakes, malts, and pints to take home. I tried their Polish sausage, and I’m glad I did. It was covered in sauerkraut and also had grilled onions and mustard. I also had a side of fries, which were hot and delicious. Now, the main attraction was their ice cream, so I indulged in a Strawberry Cheesecake Blaster, which was thick blended ice cream with strawberries and cheesecake inside. They have six locations and also do event catering as well.
LIVING FRESH MARKET • 7520 Roosevelt Rd. FOREST PARK, IL 708-689-0452. I was genuinely impressed with this store. They have an incredible selection of products, including a wide variety of local items and brands, showing a real commitment to supporting the community. The cleanliness of the store is exceptional, and the spacious layout makes shopping comfortable and enjoyable. They have a nice variety of fresh produce, meats, groceries, and specialty products. One of the highlights is the enormous hot food bar, where they offer an assortment of ready-to-eat meals. I picked up some grocery items including jerk sauce along with some beverages.
PRONTO ITALIAN SANDWICHES • 1641 Oakton Place DES PLAINES, IL 224-580-2361. I highly recommend this place. They offer the most amazing Italian sandwiches served on their signature Schiacciata bread, which is baked fresh daily. The menu has some fun names for the sandwiches including the Brando, Coppola, Pacino and Sinatra. My favorite is the Tarantino: roasted turkey breast, 2-year aged white cheddar cheese, pickled red onion, avocado, micro greens, garlic aioli served on Schiacciata bread. Everything is so fresh and the bread is the star of the show. I also picked up a slice of pepperoni pizza. Yum! They have numerous locations, so definitely put them on your radar.
THE MEAN WIENER • 532 Sheridan Rd. HIGHWOOD, IL 847-266-1411. I’d had a couple of people recommend this place before finally giving it a try. One friend couldn’t stop talking about the meanest wiener and the hand-cut fries, while another swore by the burritos. The menu offers a large variety of both Mexican and American favorites, including burritos, empanadas, tacos, nachos, burgers, Italian beef, gyros, hot dogs, Polish sausages, salads, wings, and much more. I ordered The Junk Yard Dog, a jumbo Polish sausage topped with chili, nacho chips, cheddar cheese, onions, tomatoes, and jalapeños. It might sound like a lot, but all of the flavors came together perfectly. It was served with fresh-cut fries. So good!
WESTWOOD TAVERN • 1385 N Meacham Rd, Schaumburg, IL 847-969-9500. This is a restaurant and tavern serving a various menu including fresh sushi, tacos, great burgers, sandwiches and signature items. Everything on the menu is made from scratch, including their made-to-order corn tortillas. They feature a variety of custom wines and a hand picked beer list with 16 beers on tap including many local and craft beers. I had the Tavern Prime Rib Dip, which consisted of shaved prime rib, slowly roasted & piled high on a house made baguette with mayo, Swiss cheese & au jus. I also had a side of red skin mashed potatoes. It was a hefty sandwich, which tasted amazing, and the service was spot-on. They also feature a beautiful outdoor bar and two fireplaces – perfect for those days where you’d like to sit outside.

Grocery prices in the US increased by just 0.1% recently, a significant slowdown from the 0.7% rise in April. This moderation was largely due to declining prices for meat and dairy, following a previous surge in beef costs. Industry efforts to keep prices steady have helped maintain stability, but ongoing challenges such as higher energy prices and strained supply chains could threaten this trend in the near future. “You want to have some certainty about where we’re headed before you see where the prices go at the consumer level, because you don’t want to have periods where you’re raising and you’re lowering,” said Andy Harig, vice president of tax, trade, sustainability and policy development at FMI – The Food Industry Association. “So I think that slowed the price transmission up to this point.” – Source: The New York Times

Many business owners purchase insurance when they first open their doors and then rarely revisit their coverage. However, changing economic conditions, rising construction costs, and evolving business operations can quickly make an insurance program outdated.
One of the most significant challenges facing businesses today is underinsurance. Inflation has increased the cost of building materials, equipment, and labor, meaning a property/equipment insured for its replacement value several years ago may no longer have adequate limits. In the event of a major loss, insufficient coverage can leave owners responsible for substantial out-of-pocket expenses.
Business operations also change over time. New services, additional locations, increased payroll, expanded delivery operations, or the use of independent contractors can all create exposures that may not have been contemplated when a policy was originally written.
Regular insurance reviews help ensure that coverage keeps pace with business growth and changing risks. They also provide an opportunity to evaluate emerging concerns such as cyber threats, employment practices liability, and business interruption exposures.
Insurance should not be viewed as a one-time purchase. An annual review with a qualified insurance professional can help identify gaps, update coverage limits, and ensure a business is better prepared for unexpected events.

As grocery delis and foodservice kitchens work to serve consistent meals with fewer trained hands, Elevation Foods’ potato lineup offers a timely answer. Its sous vide, fully cooked potatoes give operators a practical way to reduce prep time while still presenting dishes that feel freshly made.

Our exclusive dinings chairs are a stunning blend of innovative design and luxurious comfort. Each available in a range of colors to enhance your brand and aesthetic.

The strongest example is their au gratin potatoes. This classic side dish has long been trapped between two extremes: labor-heavy scratch preparation or shortcuts that can taste flat. Elevation Foods offers an innovative solution. By preparing the potatoes sous vide in cream and cheese, then allowing kitchens to finish them quickly, the company helps preserve the comfort and richness people expect from au gratin potatoes without creating unnecessary strain behind the counter.
That is why this product deserves attention. Consumers still want familiar comfort foods, but retailers and restaurants need speed, consistency, and products that can scale. A creamy, golden pan of au gratin potatoes may seem like a small innovation, but it points to a larger truth: prepared foods succeed when they respect both the customer’s appetite and the operator’s reality. In that balance, convenience becomes a sign of smart craftsmanship, not compromise. Elevation Foods’ approach does exactly that.

The new Weber Grill Restaurant & Cooking School in Orland Park brings together the company’s rich history with a modern dining and educational experience. Whether guests are enjoying a perfectly grilled steak, learning new barbecue techniques in a cooking class, or gathering with family and friends on the outdoor patio, the restaurant celebrates the tradition of authentic Weber charcoal grilling and the passion that has defined the brand for generations.
The restaurant is spacious with a seating capacity of over 200 guests. The menu features items such as grilled ribeye, filet, and New York strip steaks, BBQ classics like baby back ribs and smoked brisket, signature charcoalgrilled burgers, seafood options including cedar-planked salmon and grilled shrimp skewers, and rotating seasonal specials tied to grilling seasons.

Beyond its restaurant experience, the new Orland Park location is home to the Weber Grill Cooking School, a custom-designed learning facility dedicated to the art and science of outdoor cooking. The Weber Grill Cooking School in Chicagoland is a custom-designed unique and dynamic learning facility dedicated to the art and skill of cooking on the grill. They offer regularly scheduled public cooking classes, interactive grilling experiences as well as guided experiences such as private parties and corporate team building events. Currently they offer cooking classes and events in their Lombard, Orland Park and Schaumburg, Illinois restaurants.
The History of Weber Grill: It all started with a quest for a better steak. Back in the 1950s, brick fireplace barbecues were very popular, so a fellow by the name of George Stephen decided to build himself one. After he finished it, he invited his friends over for a barbecue. The steaks went up in flames. For George, the dinner was a disaster but it got him thinking, there had to be a better way.
Luckily, George’s day job was at Weber Brothers Metal Works where he spent his time welding half spheres together to make buoys. He knew his way around a metal shop and after the flop of the barbecue, it all clicked. He took one of the half spheres, put legs on it, punched holes in the bottom for air flow and put a lid on top. Voila, the iconic Weber kettle grill was born.
In 1952, George Stephen took his love for barbecue – along with his passion of the perfect grilled steak and combined them with a revolutionary grill design inspired by the shape of a buoy. This gave birth to widespread enthusiasm for the kettle grill and the start of what would become the world’s leading barbecue brand.
The new Orland Park Weber Grill Restaurant & Cooking School carries that legacy forward, offering guests an opportunity to enjoy exceptional food while learning the techniques and traditions that have made Weber synonymous with outdoor cooking for more than 70 years.
Sweet Baby Ray’s Hot Barbecue and Wing Sauce doesn’t just bring the heat – it brings the flavor. It opens with a subtle touch of brown sugar, then layers in a deep complexity of chipotle adobo and hickory smoke flavor.

A stinging bite delivers lingering warmth that builds with every bite, creating bold, balanced heat that hits fast, stays long, and never overpowers the food. Smoky, spicy, and just a little sweet, it’s perfect for wings, barbecue, and anywhere a complex, craveable heat can take center stage. The sauce is boss! You can see the Ken’s Foods ad on page 48.
Want to guarantee your restaurant fails? Just follow this proven plan:
• Never greet customers when they walk in. They’re lucky you opened the door.
• Don’t thank customers. After all, they owe you.
• Toss their change across the counter if they pay cash.
• Never suggest an appetizer, dessert, or beverage. Extra sales are overrated.
• Let the phone ring. If customers really want you, they’ll call back...or your competitor.
• Better yet, don’t have a working phone number that customers can call.
• Make sure every visit is a surprise by serving inconsistent food and service.
• Never wash your windows. Dirt adds character.
• Skip the deodorant. It’s expensive.
• Treat your employees terribly so they can pass that experience on to your customers.
• Tell customers they’re wrong, or unreasonable.
• Squeeze every penny out of your vendors until they send you their cheapest products.
• Cut quality whenever possible. Most customers won’t notice...until they do.
• Pay the lowest wages you can and then complain that nobody wants to work.
• Save money by buying as little soap as possible.
• Forget that the customer pays everyone’s paycheck.
• Don’t waste money on marketing or advertising. New customers are highly overrated.
• Ignore negative online reviews and customer complaints. They’ll eventually stop complaining because they’ll stop coming.
• Keep your garbage overflowing. Nothing says “quality” like the smell of yesterday’s trash.
• Do not check your restrooms frequently; don’t mop the floors and let them smell so bad that it leaks out into the dining room.
• Most importantly, blame everyone else when business slows down.
• If you actually want to succeed, simply do the exact opposite.

grandparents, Joe and Katherine Sapp, on 92nd and Western has grown far beyond one neighborhood stand, but the heart of the brand remains the same: bringing people together through something joyful, unexpected and uniquely Chicago.”
When Joe and his wife, Katherine, opened the first Rainbow Cone in 1926, their signature cone featured five delicious flavors. Chocolate, Strawberry, Palmer House, Pistachio, and Orange Sherbet were sliced (not scooped) into one smile-sparking cone. Little did Joe know, his creative combination of flavors would become a Chicago staple for decades and decades to come.
Throughout the summer, Rainbow Cone trucks will make pop-up appearances at local events and mission-driven programs across Chicagoland, supporting causes

close to home while creating sweet surprise moments for families along the way.
The Original Rainbow Cone serves ice cream featuring extraordinary flavors and textures, including the world-famous fiveflavor Rainbow Cone, shakes, ice cream cakes and sandwiches, mini donuts and other nostalgic treats, as well as hand-packed quarts available for nationwide shipping.
Founded in 1926, Rainbow Cone quickly earned its place as one of the most recognizable cones in America, defined by its iconic sliced-and-stacked style. With nearly 30 permanent locations across the Midwest, California, Florida and Michigan and additional stores coming soon to Florida, Texas, Wisconsin and California, Rainbow Cone is on a mission to sweeten new markets nationwide.
One of the smartest marketing investments any restaurant or supplier can make is supporting the community that supports them.
For any type of restaurant, sponsor neighborhood events, school teams, church functions, and local charities. Invite nearby residents to special events, use direct mail, advertise locally, and target nearby customers with geofenced social media campaigns.
The people who live and work closest to your business are the most likely to become loyal, repeat customers. Those frequent visits are what builds wealth. The goal is to become your neighborhood’s first choice.
Independent businesses often prefer doing business with independent suppliers. Staying visible and involved reminds customers that you are successful, that you are committed to your community, and that you are ready to serve.
Support your local food industry trade magazine. Quality trade publications work year round to help restaurants and suppliers thrive by sharing ideas, market intelligence, and connecting buyers with established, qualified suppliers instead of questionable companies looking to take advantage of operators.
Finally, never let your competitors define your brand. They may describe your company in inaccurate or unflattering ways. Invest in your own marketing, tell your own story, and stay top of mind with the 20% of the businesses that open each year as well as established ones. If you do not shape your image, someone else will, and perhaps to your detriment.

One of the biggest differences between new restaurateurs and seasoned operators is where they look for feedback. Experienced restaurateurs don’t rely solely on online reviews or customer comments; they pay close attention to what comes back from the dining room.
When dirty dishes arrive in the dish room, they tell a story. If guests consistently leave the coleslaw untouched, it’s time to taste it yourself. If diners pull apart a corned beef sandwich and leave behind most of the meat because it’s too fatty or improperly sliced, the problem may not be the customer, it may be the product or the preparation.
The plates coming back to the dish room or kitchen provide some of the most honest feedback you’ll ever receive. If customers aren’t eating a particular side dish, entrée, or ingredient, ask why. Sample it yourself. Watch how it’s prepared. Review your recipes and portioning.
Customers vote with their forks long before they leave a review. If they don’t enjoy the meal, there’s a good chance they won’t return. Before blaming the economy, your staff, or difficult customers, first take an honest look at what’s being left on the plate. The answers to improving your restaurant may already be sitting in the dish room.

Music is an integral part of daily life in restaurant kitchens, shaping everything from the morning prep atmosphere to the camaraderie among cooks. Chefs and bakers describe how playlists – ranging from jazz to reggaeton – help break the monotony, ease new hires into the group and provide a shared cultural touchpoint. Whether it’s the soft start of Alice Coltrane in the early hours or the pulse of rock bands as the day intensifies, music accompanies the rhythm of kitchen work and is as essential as any tool in the culinary environment.

Formula 1 Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix and Sphere Entertainment Co. are partnering to debut F1 Afterparty, the Official Post-Race Show of the Formula 1 Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix, featuring a special performance by the Backstreet Boys on Saturday, Nov. 21 at Sphere, where advanced technology is redefining the future of live entertainment.

Here’s what that means on your menu. Prepared food, like a pasta dish or a grilled chicken sandwich, is taxed as general merchandise, carrying the state’s 6.25% base rate plus a NITA add-on of 1.25% in Cook County (1.00% elsewhere) after the increase.
Grocery-style items sold to-go, like a jar of olives from a retail pantry section, carry a much lower base rate, even though their NITA add-on is actually higher in Cook County (1.50%). The lower overall rate only applies with documentation proving the item wasn’t prepared food. Without it, Illinois defaults to taxing everything as prepared food.
Charging the grocery rate without that paperwork is the real risk: an audit can make you owe the difference on every sale, plus penalties and interest.
Ahlbeck & Cook can help you get it sorted before the change takes effect. See their ad on page 14.

The Kenosha County Fair will be held August 19–23, 2026 at the Kenosha County Fairgrounds in Wilmot, Wisconsin. The 2026 theme is “Fun For The Whole Herd”, offering a full day of family-friendly entertainment, live shows, and attractions.

The Greek American Restaurant Association (GARA) presented four high school graduates with a fouryear scholarship for college. One of the great contributions of the Greek American Restaurant Association is helping our youth. For over 25 years, GARA has awarded up to four college scholarships per year.

The Greek American Restaurant Association (GARA) embodies this noble virtue. As a non-profit organization, GARA’s mission is to “preserve, perpetuate, and promote Greek culture, history, and ideals.” This mission is accomplished through three strategic programming areas: social and cultural events, educational scholarships, and charitable aid.

To manage higher food costs without losing guests, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants employs several strategies, Chief Culinary Officer Matt McMillin said during a panel at the National Restaurant Association Show. The measures include removing costly ingredients like scallops from the menu when prices spike, then reintroducing them in more affordable combinations. The chain also runs limited-time offers, such as a Wagyu burger and premium wine pairing, to boost traffic on slower days. Additionally, chef-driven appetizers from surplus ingredients and frequent vendor reviews help keep both costs and menu options attractive.

Foam-topped cocktails are making a comeback in Asian bars, driven by consumer demand for immersive, multisensory experiences. Bartenders in Hong Kong, Osaka and Bangkok are using foam to add visual drama and enhance flavor and texture, reflecting a broader trend toward maximalism in the global cocktail scene. “Foam can make a cocktail feel lighter, creamier or more luxurious without necessarily increasing sweetness or richness,” says Dominic Dijkstra, director of mixology at Waldorf Astoria Osaka. – Source: 50 Best

“A Mission Born of Love: The Joseph Peter Bartzis Foundation”
The JPB Foundation hosted its 8th Annual Golf Outing, welcoming more than 165 golfers and dinner attendees and raising over $100,000.
The Foundation’s mission is threefold: honoring the life of Joseph Peter Bartzis, who passed away from AL Amyloidosis at just 26 years old; raising awareness and research funding for the disease; and encouraging young adults to advocate for their health through annual physicals and blood work.
AL Amyloidosis is a rare blood disease affecting roughly 4,500 people globally each year – only 200 of them under age 30. Diagnoses are often missed or delayed, and there is currently no cure.

By Charlie Baggs, President & Executive Chef, Charlie Baggs Culinary Innovations
At Charlie Baggs Culinary Innovations, we travel the world to discover the ideas, flavors, and operational practices that shape the future of food. Our latest culinary exploration took us to Tokyo, Japan – a city that continues to set the global benchmark for hospitality, efficiency, craftsmanship, and consumer experience.
Tokyo offers more than exceptional restaurants. It demonstrates how culture, discipline, and thoughtful execution create memorable guest experiences at every touchpoint. While trends often focus on the next exciting ingredient or social media sensation, Japan reminds us that sustained excellence is built on consistency, respect, and relentless attention to detail.
Breakfast as Functional Nutrition
16,000 steps each day while exploring neighborhoods, restaurants, food markets, and transit systems. Starting with a lighter, balanced breakfast proved to be both energizing and practical.
Innovation Insight

As wellness continues to influence consumer behavior, there is growing opportunity for hotels, cafés, airports, and foodservice operators to rethink breakfast. Consumers increasingly value meals that deliver functional nutrition, premium ingredients, and sustained energy over oversized portions. Protein-rich, globally inspired breakfast offerings represent a compelling direction for menu innovation.
Our mornings began with breakfast at the hotel, where one offering quickly became our preferred choice: an elegant assortment of fresh sushi served alongside warm dashi broth and seasonal vegetables.
Rather than opting for heavier Western breakfast selections, this protein-forward meal provided sustained energy without sacrificing flavor or satisfaction. Throughout our visit, we averaged between 10,000 and
One of Tokyo’s defining characteristics is its culture of respect. Every interaction – whether in a restaurant, hotel, train station, or retail environment – is conducted with professionalism, humility, and genuine care.”
Bowing is more than tradition; it reflects a mindset centered on acknowledging otherse. Respect for elders, leaders, coworkers, and guests is deeply embedded within Japanese culture and creates an environment where hospitality feels natural rather than scripted.
Innovation Insight
True hospitality cannot be manufactured through
training manuals alone. Organizations that cultivate cultures of respect and accountability consistently deliver more authentic guest experiences. The strongest brands understand that hospitality begins with how team members treat one another.
Operational Excellence as a Competitive Advantage
Tokyo operates with remarkable precision. Public transportation is exceptionally efficient, stations are immaculate, and public spaces remain remarkably clean despite serving one of the world’s largest metropolitan populations. Operational discipline is not viewed as a differentiator – it is simply the standard.
For foodservice operators, this serves as a powerful reminder that operational excellence often creates a greater competitive advantage than menu innovation alone. Guests notice consistency, cleanliness, organization, and reliability just as much as they notice great food.
Innovation Insight
Consumers increasingly associate cleanliness, organization, and operational discipline with food quality, safety, and brand trust. Every operational touchpoint contributes to the guest’s perception of value.
(To be continued in our September issue.)

Playing a leading role in Jamaica’s comeback, Sandals Resorts International unveiled a first look at the guest experiences, dining concepts and accommodations coming to Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Caribbean Cay, renamed from Sandals Royal Caribbean, and Sandals South Coast as part of the company’s $200 million transformation of the three storied Jamaica resorts.
Reinforcing Sandals’ continued commitment to the island where the brand was born, the three properties are introducing elevated accommodations including the brand’s first-ever double queen room concept, a new moniker and identity for Sandals Royal Caribbean, and a slate of guest experiences celebrating Jamaica’s culture, cuisine and natural beauty.
The Resort That Started It All, the Revitalized Sandals Montego Bay, Returning December 18, 2026

More than four decades after opening its doors, Sandals Montego Bay is entering a bold new era while honoring its legacy as the brand’s flagship property with 255 rooms. A transformed welcome experience will set the tone for what’s in store, with a lobby design framed by sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea. A completely redesigned main pool will serve as the social heart of the resort, complemented by new swim-up accommodations and spacious ocean-view suites designed to bring guests closer to the shoreline.

Culinary additions include the arrival of the guest-favorite Buccan in its first waterfront setting in Jamaica, serving island favorites cooked over an open flame, as well as Jamaica’s first Scrimshaw seafood restaurant, offering wraparound sea views and a refined coastal dining experience. The Caribbean’s first-ever swim-up bar remains an iconic centerpiece of the resort as part of Parisol Beach Club, where the original bricks, carved with decades of guest names, have been preserved as a tribute to the resort’s history. Guests can also discover Bay Roc Rum Club, a signature rum experience inspired by the property’s origins as Bay Roc Hotel & Villas and the rise of Caribbean music.
A New Chapter for Jamaica’s Private Island Escape: Sandals Caribbean Cay, Returning Dec.18, 2026 Formerly known as Sandals Royal Caribbean, the resort will debut as Sandals Caribbean Cay, a fresh identity inspired by its distinctive offshore island experience. The transformation begins in the open-air lobby, where uninterrupted views of the main pool and the Caribbean Sea beyond create an immediate connection to the water.
Leading the culinary refresh is Suppa, a homegrown supper-style restaurant and ode to the tradition of gathering around the table for Sunday dinner. Featuring Jamaican comfort food designed for sharing, guests are invited into a modern Jamaican home, where Keynote Rum Bar serves as the intimate “parlor” – a cozy spot for premium Caribbean rums. For something lighter, Heart & Sol serves graband-go juices, sandwiches and nourishing bowls. The resort is also expanding with 84 new rooms, bringing the total room count to 291 contemporary Caribbean accommodations.
A Fresh Take on Jamaica’s Natural Hideaway: Sandals South Coast, Returning November 18, 2026 Surrounded by a 500-acre nature preserve, the 380-room Sandals South Coast has long been celebrated for its secluded setting and deep connection to nature. The resort’s evolution builds on that legacy with enhancements designed to complement one of Jamaica’s most captivating coastlines. The resort’s iconic Overwater Butler Villas return with refreshed interiors inspired by the Caribbean, joined by the brand’s first-ever Beachfront Club Two Queen Junior Suites.
Jamaica is at the heart of the Sandals story, and these investments reflect our commitment to its future,” said Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of Sandals Resorts. “For us, dreaming bigger wasn’t about adding more. It was about creating a Sandals 2.0 experience that also feels connected to our home. Every decision and detail was shaped by that idea. From new cuisines rooted in Jamaica’s traditions to spaces designed to reflect the island’s natural beauty, this next chapter is about building on that legacy and continuing to move the guest experience forward in a way that is not only elevated but evolved.” To learn more and book a stay, visit: sandals.com/great-Jamaica-comeback.
