Overcoming Anti-Semitism Living Bridges Program

Anti-Semitism is growing exponentially in Europe, even in Poland, where many Jewish people died in death camps during the Holocaust. Living Bridges is a unique program that builds relationships between Israeli and Polish youth. For several weeks, Christian youth in Poland and Jewish young adults from Israel come together—first in one country, then in the other. They spend time learning about one another’s culture and history, and work together on a shared service project for children with disabilities. Barriers are broken and lifelong friendships are created through mutual understanding and relationship-building. Nearly 100 sick and injured people, desperate for good medical care, cross our clinic's threshold every day. Many people cannot afford the high cost for even basic medical care. At the clinic, every person receives individual treatment by a certified nurse or physician, or is transported to a major hospital for intensive care. No patient leaves without being offered spiritual support. Your gift today will cover basic medical care for one patient. I can help her, but I must first have payment.” The doctor waited patiently as the young pastor gave him payment to treat his ailing wife. Young Alfredo watched, wondering why his father had to pay for his mother’s lifesaving care. At that moment, the young boy said in his heart,

Since 1983, Dr. Alfredo Espinoza, his wife Dr. Asunta, and their son, Dr. Juan Carlos have faithfully served in the heart of the Jewish community in Buenos Aires, saving lives for free, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Espinozas, along with nurses, doctors, and volunteers are committed to bringing free care to the hurting and sick. But they know that without sharing God’s truth, their work would be in vain. So the clinic holds daily Bible studies that are open to all patients—many come even after they are discharged.
