The very beautiful and talented Mel Streater is our cover star this month to align with ArtWalk. Mel is a local Indigenous artist and is a descendant of the Wiradjuri Nation calling the beautiful seaside town of Guruk (Port Macquarie) on Birpai Country her home. We interview Mark Mathews. Mark is one of the world’s best big wave surfers, and his other great love is sharing his experiences with audiences to help people understand the connections between overcoming fear and building resilience. He will be the keynote speaker at Ride the Wave Festival here in Port Macquarie. We chat with Bruce De Graaf. Bruce has turned up to a Lifeblood Centre to donate blood an incredible 600+ times! Robyn Gilmour and Donna Dobson are two local sisters, born and raised in Wauchope. They are taking on a huge 150km walking challenge to raise funds and awareness for the Mark Hughes Foundation.
