wo years ago, Jacksonville’s Five Points neighborhood was making headlines ­— for all the wrong reasons. In July 2023, business owners blamed “mobs” on the streets for committing violence that created a chilling effect in the retail and entertainment district. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office made 33 arrests that month, including 22 for felony offenses, and seized more than 14 firearms.
