Jacksonville-based Pet Paradise Resorts LLC proposes to develop a location in Clay County at Old Jennings Road by the end of 2019. The site is in Branan Field Village in Middleburg, which also serves the OakLeaf area. The 14,264-square-foot boarding and day care kennel and a residential unit are planned on 1.64 acres. Pet Paradise Resort offers full service dog boarding, cat boarding, dog groom-

ing services and pet day camp at its 35 locations in nine states. Pet Paradise says it offers indoor and outdoor play areas and bone-shaped swimming pools. Specific amenities vary by pet resort. A Virginia-based developer that has built large subdivisions in Clay County is planning to add 162 single-family lots to the Eagle Landing neighborhood in OakLeaf Plantation. Roger Arrowsmith, president of the Florida division of East West Partners, said the additional homes will be built in two phases, starting with about 70 in the first. The developer submitted site plans to the St. Johns River Water Management District that show the homes and two ponds will be built on 72 acres. The project will require East West Partners, based in Midlothian, Virginia, to build a new road, called Tynes Boulevard. Arrowsmith said the Eagle Landing community will have about 1,500 homes with the additional 162. Homes in the community range in price from $200,000 to more than $1 million, according to an East West Partners website. The community includes an 18-hole golf course, parks, playgrounds, hiking trails, a heated pool and waterslide. It borders the 24,000-acre Jennings State Forest. East West Partners also built Eagle Harbor, a 2,950-acre planned community with 3,259 homes at Fleming Island, according to the company website.
