More retail is coming to Arlington as Surplus Warehouse moves into Regency Park Shopping Center. The Arkansas-based company intends to lease about 31,800 square feet of space next to the Bealls Outlet at 9400 Atlantic Blvd., a site plan shows. Surplus Warehouse describes itself as a deep-discount home improvement supplier. “Once you choose a store, you can view our on-line catalog and see what we have in stock at that location as well as neighboring stores,” says surplus-warehouse. com. Surplus Warehouse’s tag line is “Build More. Spend Less.” It sells supplies and products for floors, kitchens, doors and windows. Surplus Warehouse operates 54 stores in 12 states, according to its site. Its four Florida stores are in Apopka, Fort Walton, Panama City and Pensacola.

W

hat a difference a year made for Party Shack USA. During the 2017-18 NFL season, Jacksonville-based Party Shack USA set up a climate-controlled, all-inclusive and portable entertainment suite near the west entrance of TIAA Bank Field. “It was a head-turner for sure,” said Party Shack Managing Partner Bobby Bowers. “When you pass by, you’re

immediately interested in what it is and why it’s there.” This year, the company created a Party Shack Tailgate Village of nine suites in a fenced-off section of grass behind the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Wall. The village debuted during the Jacksonville Jaguars’ third preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons on Aug. 25. Bowers said 275 paying customers entered the village, along with other invited guests. “The response was amazing. We had a sellout crowd, and it was just a soft opening to prepare for the big Patriots home opener,” Bowers said, referring to the Jaguars’ Sept. 16 home opener. The game against the New England
