VanTrust says it will start developing the 3 million-square-foot park next month. VanTrust Real Estate LLC intends to buy 156 acres in North Jacksonville for development of Imeson Park, a 3 million-squarefoot industrial center whose first building should be completed next fall. “We will start next month and will deliver the first building in September 2019,” said VanTrust Executive Vice President John

Carey. He expects the land purchase to close soon. The first building will be 500,000 square feet and Carey can be expanded, he said. No contractor has been finalized for the project and

no tenant has been identified. Carey said that while there are prospective tenants in the market, VanTrust intends to start development on a speculative basis. VanTrust Real Estate intends to buy the land in Imeson International Industrial Park for development of three to six buildings, which indicates struc-

tures of 500,000 to 1 million square feet. Carey estimates a total investment exceeding $180 million. The total build-out will be timed based on market demand. A real estate purchase agreement shows that Imeson International Industrial Park Inc. and

ith financing in order and a permit application filed, S t r i n gs S p o r ts Brewery is nearing construction in Springfield. Restaurateur Scott Adeeb’s vision for the former 9th and Main restaurant space at 1850 N. Main St. combines aspects of a traditional sports bar and a microbrewery in one of Jacksonville’s historic neighborhoods. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sports brewery before, so this will be unique, not only in Springfield but in all of Jacksonville,” Adeeb said. A permit application filed July 26 details a $653,000 build-out with 4,764 square feet of indoor and 2,497 square feet of outdoor space. “Everything is going to be sports-themed,” he said. “We’re going to have a lot of interactive things for kids and families.” SEE STRINGS, PAGE 3

Keke’s gets build-out permit Keke’s Breakfast Café is coming to The Strand at Town Center. The city issued a permit for ShayCore Enterprises Inc. to buildout the almost 4,400 square feet of space at 4906 Town Center Parkway, No. 104, for almost $453,000. Keke’s has a restaurant in St. Augustine and another planned at The Pavilion at Durbin Park. Operating hours are 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
