Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
It’s hard to believe that 2025 is drawing to a close—and what a year it has been. Politically, we’ve witnessed dysfunction and division. Economically, many have felt the weight of rising prices and financial uncertainty. Personally, each of us has likely faced our share of trials and challenges. In moments like these, when life feels uncertain and heavy, it’s easy to become discouraged. The enemy loves to shift our focus toward worry and negativity. Yet, God calls us to lift our thoughts higher.
As the Apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 4:8 (NIV): “Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—
if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
I’ll admit that recently, I almost found myself caught in the web of worry. But through prayer and supplication, God restored my peace. In that exact moment, He used an unexpected source—social media, of all places—to remind me of His grace. I heard a song on TikTok with the caption, “This song has me in a chokehold!” The lyrics declared:
“It’s so marvelous, so marvelous what the Lord has done. Let the weak say I am strong. Let the poor say I am rich, Because of what the Lord has done for us.”
Those words spoke deeply to my spirit. I listened over and over, and each time, I felt more gratitude rise within me. It reminded me that despite

everything we’ve endured, God has done great things. If we take even a moment to reflect on His goodness, we too will proclaim, “It’s so marvelous what the Lord has done!”
As we enter this season of Thanksgiving, may we not limit our gratitude to a single holiday. Let’s make every day a holy day—a time to give thanks with sincere hearts and joyful praise. Think of all that the Lord has provided—great and small—and let thanksgiving overflow from your spirit.
May your testimony echo the song that blessed my soul: “It’s so marvelous what the Lord has done.” Oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever. — Psalm 136:1 (KJV)

Thank you for your willingness to serve. The Nominating Committee is preparing for the election of ministry and committee leaders for the 2026–2027 term. Please read this document carefully and submit all requested information by the stated deadline.
In accordance with church bylaws, the Nominating Committee is responsible for presenting a slate of officers for the Trustee Board, standing committees, and ministries to the Pastor and Official Board. This includes nominating committee chairs and other elected leadership positions. The final slate will be presented for approval at the annual business meeting.
1. Nominations for ministry leadership positions are due by Sunday, November 30.
2. Submit names via email to NominationsCommittee@ fmbc.org.
3. The committee will review submissions and report to the Pastor and Official Board by Friday, December 12.
All ministries must submit nominations—even if officers were recently elected—to align with the church’s even-year term cycle (Article III, Section 7). Please note that all submitted names are recommendations and require approval from the Pastor and Official Board.
Leadership Standards & Qualifications:
1. A born-again believer committed to following Jesus Christ.
2. Spirit-filled, wise, and honest.
3. Actively involved in ministry and church activities (e.g., worship, Bible study, evangelism).
4. Faithful in tithing and supporting church ministries
5. Living a morally upright life and reflecting Christ’s character.
6. Demonstrating joy, enthusiasm, and a desire to grow spiritually.
Additional Criteria for Selection:
1. Christ-like spirit and attitude.
2. Proven leadership ability and
relevant knowledge.
3. Faithful stewardship of time, talent, and resources.
4. Commitment to prayer and studying God’s Word.
5. Shared biblical vision with the Pastor.
Leaders are expected to coordinate ministry activities to support the church’s mission. All ministry leaders will serve two-year terms, beginning in even-numbered years, pending church approval.
