Staying Steady in Uncertain Times — Strategy in Action

Lately, it feels like the world has been throwing a lot at us with shifting markets, headlines that change by the hour, gas price hikes, and material price increases that keep everyone guessing. That kind of uncertainty can be stressful. If you’re feeling it, you’re not alone.

Here’s what I want you to hear clearly: Flynn is in a very good position. We have strong work on hand, and we’re replacing work as we do it. We’re not sitting back, we’re staying close to our customers, staying close to our suppliers, and staying disciplined in how we run our business.

And in moments like this, one thing matters more than ever: Control what we can control.

That’s exactly what the 13 Levers of Performance are all about that I introduced to you in the last edition of the Flynn Flash. They’re not just an idea, they’re the practical “engine” of how we keep our momentum going by focusing on the things that make a difference every day.

What “control what we can control” looks like at Flynn

It starts the same way it always starts: Living the Flynn Way.

In uncertain times, safety and respect don’t become “nice to have.” They become our anchor. The Flynn Way is our culture in action and safety is the cornerstone.

It looks like a real FLRA, not a tick-box. It looks like housekeeping that keeps people safe and keeps the job moving. It looks like watching out for each other, because “at the end of the day, we all go home safe.”

Then there’s Keeping the Leadership Promise.

When people feel uncertain, they watch leaders even more closely. What we say matters, but what we do matters more. The most powerful thing a leader can do right now is be visible, be clear, and be consistent. “What they see you do is what you’ll get.”

And then we get to the heart of it: Integrating Strategy into Day to Day Operations.

Strategy isn’t a document sitting on a shelf. It only becomes real when it shows up in how we plan the work, stage the work, communicate the plan, and execute the plan, safely, on time, and on budget.

Mitigating fuel and material cost pressure: the levers we’re pulling

We are actively speaking with our suppliers, and we have tactics in place to help mitigate the impact of fuel and

material price increases. That’s happening at multiple levels; procurement strategies, planning, communication, and disciplined execution.

But there’s also a lever that every one of us touches, every day: Managing Fixed & Variable Costs.

Not in a dramatic “boardroom” way, in a practical, job-byjob way:

“Is this good spend? If this was my money, would I allow it?”

That question shows up in:

■ protecting materials so they don’t get damaged,

■ avoiding rework by following details and asking for clarity on the drawings early,

■ planning ahead so we’re not burning time (and fuel) on unnecessary trips,

■ managing change orders properly so we don’t give away extra work,

■ and staying disciplined with equipment, tools, and vehicles.

Thousands of small decisions add up and that’s how we stay strong and profitable through volatility.

Partnerships matter more when things are volatile

When markets are unpredictable, real partnerships become a competitive advantage; with customers, with suppliers, and within our own teams across the value chain. It’s how we avoid surprises, solve problems early, and keep projects moving.

Good communication and strong relationships reduce friction and friction is expensive.

A word about stress, and taking care of yourself

I also want to say this plainly: stress is real, and it can show up in different ways; like distraction, worry, short tempers, trouble sleeping, financial pressure, or feeling like you’re carrying too much. If you’re feeling that right now, I want you to remember that you don’t have to deal with it alone.

Talk to someone you trust; your manager, a teammate, a friend.

And please remember: our employee and family support services are always there if you need to speak to a professional. That support includes guidance for personal challenges and financial challenges, too. Reaching out is not a weakness, it’s a smart, responsible step when life feels heavy.

The bottom line

We can’t control every headline. We can’t control every market swing.

But we can control how we show up and how we work.

When we:

■ manage costs like owners,

■ and build real partnerships…

…we take uncertainty and turn it into steady progress, strategy in action, every day.

I’m optimistic about what’s ahead because I know what I see across Flynn: great people, strong teams, strong work on hand, and a company that knows how to stay disciplined and keeps improving.

Let’s keep our focus on what we can control. Let’s keep looking out for each other. And let’s keep making it count one safe, smart decision at a time.

Bratopia Sign Urgent

Call Out

After high winds toppled Bratopia’s iconic 30 foot rooftop sign, causing major damage to the roof on their 115 year old Heritage building, a service team from Flynn Calgary mobilized immediately. When Flynn was called about the collapsed rooftop sign and the damage to the heritage structure, everyone stepped up without hesitation. High winds had caused their iconic 30-foot rooftop sign to collapse, resulting in significant damage to both the roof and HVAC unit of their historic 115-year-old building. Flynn organized and coordinated a crane crew, licensed electricians, and structural engineers to safely manage the situation. Through precise planning and seamless communication, the fallen sign was carefully lifted and removed from the roof without further damage to the building. Our crews then proceeded to seal and repair the compromised roofing areas, ensuring the building was fully protected from further weather exposure. The speed, professionalism, and focus on safety demonstrated throughout the night and into the next day truly reflect the standard we hold ourselves to.

Special recognition is given to Nathan, Mauricio, and Leon for their outstanding leadership during a very challenging situation. Their quick response, diligence in assessing the risks, and coordination of the crane crew, electricians, and engineers were instrumental in ensuring the site was made safe and that our team could work confidently and efficiently. Managing that many moving parts—on short notice, in compromised conditions—is no small task, and these 3 individuals handled it with exceptional poise and clarity.

The team took less than 24 hours to coordinate a crane crew, electricians, and engineers to safely remove the sign, seal the roof, and complete critical repairs minimizing disruption to the business and restoring safety. Thanks to our team for delivering fast, professional and reliable service when it mattered most! This is the level of response that strengthens our reputation and earns the trust of our clients.

Dartmouth Crossing Towers

Dartmouth Crossing Towers is an iconic project for both Flynn Halifax and the city of Dartmouth.

This project consists of two residential towers, which are joined at the podium by an amenity area that features a lounge and access to public and private terraces. Flynn was awarded the full envelope package on this project. Flynn worked hand in hand with the builder, RCS on this project to ensure a smooth and “onschedule” delivery.

Flynn’s SOW includes a 100,000SF cladding package which consists of Fibre Cement panels, Aluminum composite panels, and steel siding. The cladding required over 30,000 ISO clips and over 6,500 panels.

For the glazing portion, our scope had over 1000 punch windows, a mix between aluminum and vinyl, stick curtain wall systems at the amenity areas and an interior glazing package.

The roofing scope on this project has over 67,000 SF of Inverted Modified Bitumen Roofing across many different roof levels. We also installed about 3,000 pavers and 345 tons of ballast!

Both towers had extremely tight deadlines, and Flynn rose to the occasion. At the height of production, Flynn had a total of 60 workers on site between all scopes. We also had the help of travel crews from the Calgary branch to aide with the cladding install. This was truly an “all hands on deck” project.

Our management and field teams worked together and helped each other out throughout the duration of this project. Our crews put in a lot of extra time to make sure the project’s schedule remained on track. A very big thank you to our local crews for all their hard work and a special shout out to the Calgary crews that were in to help give this project a push.

Since putting our shoulder behind this project, our customer and partner, RCS has awarded us another great multi-scope project to add to our portfolio.

New Football Stadium for the University of Kansas

Another example of Flynn's work in the higher education sector of construction - the Phase 1 renovation at David Booth Memorial Stadium in Lawrence, Kansas.

Flynn Kansas City was awarded multiple scopes (glass and waterproofing), further proving our value as a building envelope contractor. The glazing scope consisted of 9,377 SF of storefront, 19,519 SF of curtain wall, 126 total door leaves, and over 30,000 SF of 1” insulated glass units. While Flynn was performing this work, the University of Kansas campus was still active, which presented certain challenges that Flynn was able to schedule around without any delays or setbacks.

By all accounts this phase of the stadium was a resounding success!

Dakota Springs Spa Roofing Project Completed

Flynn Saskatoon recently wrapped up the 17,100 SF roofing project at Dakota Springs Spa in Whitecap, SK.

The scope included the main hotel roof (R1a – 14,700 SF) and the Event Centre roof (R5a – 1,200 SF), each requiring its own specialized installation.

The main roof featured a full torch applied system with multi layer Polyiso insulation, tapered layout, DensDeck, and torch applied base and cap sheets. The team also completed all penetration flashings, walkway membranes, metal flashings, and installed a Bilco NB50 TB hatch with safety rail.

For the Event Centre roof, Flynn’s Flameless Initiative was used throughout. All membrane work—including base and cap sheets—was completed using self adhered, flameless application for maximum safety.

This project is a strong showcase of teamwork, technical execution, and Flynn’s commitment to safe, high quality roofing systems built to perform in Saskatchewan’s climate.

Charles Evans Whittaker Federal Courthouse Façade Replacement

The Charles Evans Whittaker Courthouse located in Kansas City, Missouri is undergoing a Façade Replacement and Flynn was selected as the Design Assist partner for the Unitized Curtainwall.

The Façade is going through an upgrade to comply with Blast Requirements as well as to increase the Energy Efficiency of the building. Flynn’s Design Assist efforts began in September of 2022 and concluded in September of 2023.

Our very own Northern Facades was the manufacturer of the unitized curtain wall. There were 29 new dies created to ensure that the system would marry to the existing structure as well as accommodate the intense anchor design for blast resistance. A full-scale PMU (Performance Mockup) was constructed by Flynn at Intertek in West Palm Beach, Florida in October 2023. This PMU passed all testing requirements on the first attempt. Flynn worked throughout the Design Assist process to develop a custom anchor that would work with existing project Embeds while meeting the blast requirements of the project.

Careful planning and phasing with the General Contractor has allowed this Federal Courthouse to remain in operation throughout the removal and installation of the new system. Flynn started the installation of the new Façade in May 2024 and will be complete with the final phase in June 2026. The two main curtain walls on the North and South elevations encompass over 75,000 SF of unique radius and corner conditions.

Precision in Every Panel: A One ‑ of‑ a ‑Kind Building Envelope

From roof deck to curtain wall, Flynn was responsible for delivering a complex and highly detailed building envelope that pushed both logistics and craftsmanship to their limits.

Flynn completed all roof deck assemblies, including tapered insulation systems finished with torch-on roofing. These assemblies were carefully integrated into the main building envelope, which featured a self-adhered vapour-permeable membrane, two layers of 3-inch Rockwool semi-rigid insulation, and the Ukon DKT1 mechanical fastening system. This system incorporated thermally broken load and support brackets, hangers, and horizontal profiles paired with Kiel clips—an approach that balanced performance, structural integrity, and thermal efficiency.

The exterior cladding consisted of Consentino Dekton panels, measuring just 8mm thick and supplied in two distinct styles. Each panel was reinforced on the back with a fibreglass mesh, a critical safety feature ensuring that if damage were to occur, the panels would not shatter on the building. All Dekton material was fabricated in Spain, requiring a complex logistics plan involving both air and sea freight. From fabrication to arrival on site, each

shipment endured a two-month journey—one of several longlead challenges faced during construction.

Architectural complexity was further heightened by two curved windows, requiring the Dekton panels to be custom CNC-cut to precisely follow their radius. Accuracy at this level left no room for error.

The main entrance feature—the Iwan—stands as a project highlight. Built using a fully adjustable Ukon sub-frame system, it showcases both innovation and craftsmanship. TSC performed a full building scan and supplied detailed installation guides to ensure precision throughout construction. The Iwan itself is clad with 12mm Laminam panels, manufactured in Langley, British Columbia, and is complemented by a custom-designed aluminum gutter and counter-flashing system seamlessly integrated at the rear.

This building is truly unique. The use of massive 4-foot by 10-foot porcelain panels sourced from Spain is rare, and the entrance Iwan is completely one-of-a-kind. In over 40 years in the trade, this is the first structure of its kind encountered by the team.

As with any complex project, challenges arose—particularly surrounding international shipping logistics and extended lead times—but success was driven by teamwork. This project would not have been possible without the exceptional effort, skill, and attention to detail of the entire crew. Special thanks are owed to the Vancouver team who stepped in for three weeks to assist with the installation of the south and west elevations. With resources stretched thin, their support was nothing short of phenomenal.

Awitgati Longhouse & Cultural Centre

All curves and roof drains with this marquee new construction located in Fredericton, NB .

The Awitgati Longhouse and Culture Centre is a new net-zero carbon Indigenous health and social facility. The centre will serve as a gathering place to celebrate and support Indigenous people and culture throughout New Brunswick in a state-ofthe-art building designed by Fathom Studio. The centre will include a large ceremonial hall/performing arts room, gallery and exhibit spaces, classrooms, community gatherings rooms, kitchens, education & classrooms, and a number of workshops all positioned symmetrically around a central pavilion and sacred outdoor fire. As a result of this unique design all roof sections had distinct curves and limited straight runs. On the 168SQS roof the crew had 41 roof drains to flash in, along with a complex full tapered package.

A True Team Effort on the Moncton Walmart Project

This summer, our New Brunswick crews took on the challenge of replacing the entirety of a 168,000 SF Walmart in Moncton, NB.

The project was kicked off by Joao Rolo’s crew from Toronto, who completed the first 32,000 sq. ft. before handing it off to Roger LeBlanc’s crew. Roger’s team carried the project through the toughest stretch of the summer, one of the hottest ever recorded in New Brunswick. Their commitment and professionalism were outstanding, working long days in the heat and coordinating multiple nighttime crane deliveries to stay on schedule and meet the client’s needs.

To help bring the job across the finish line, two additional crews from our Moncton and Fredericton branches joined in, demonstrating excellent teamwork and collaboration. Special

thanks to Norm LeBlanc, Ben Deschenes, and their crews for stepping up and supporting the effort. At the peak of the project, 20+ crew members were on site.

A huge thank you to everyone involved, this was a true team effort, and a great example of what Flynn can accomplish when working together amongst branches.

Library Parcel of Ottawa’s LeBreton Flats

The Ottawa Branch's Waterproofing, Glazing and Roofing divisions worked together on a big new project.

The two tower complex includes areas for residential & commercial purposes in the rapidly developing neighborhood called LeBreton Flats in Ottawa.

The Roofing division built inverted roofs on all terraces and will install a conventional roof on both towers.

Flynn Kelowna’s Success at Mica Creek

Flynn Kelowna completed two complex projects at Mica Creek in British Columbia.

The townsite is located 148 km from Revelstoke and is located on the mighty Columbia River which is the largest river in the Pacific Northwest and winds its way through BC, Washington State and Oregon – over 2000 km long.

These two projects were difficult for the office and crews to stay in touch given it’s remote location and the fact there is no cell service. We had to improvise and the Branch purchased a satellite system to enable the Foreman and office to communicate and the Service Crew to be able to use their app. Communication was key to keeping this project going on time and budget. Valuable lessons were learned which can now be applied to future projects in remote areas.

Gantry Roof Replacement (Service)

Elevation was 60 ft on top of the gantry crane. The crew had to be careful as one edge of the roof was over the dam - any debris dropped could damage its turbines. The existing tar and gravel roof was removed down to the level of the roof deck and a new conventional .090 mil EPDM roof system and new metal flashing was installed. Although the roof size wasn’t large, it was still a logistically complex project. From beginning to end the attention to detail for safety from the team was exemplary and demonstrated Flynn’s safety culture. The BC Hydro projects team wrote an email praising Flynn’s performance and crew’s safety mindset. They advised that there will be more work coming our way. Thanks to our teams great work on this successful project!

Running concurrently in the same remote area, the Architectural project at the Mica Apartments required coordination across multiple phases and crews over a twoyear period (2023–2024). Despite tight schedules, the project was completed on time in partnership with PCL, who have since requested pricing for four additional buildings at Mica Creek—an endorsement of both quality and performance. With a travel time of approximately 5 hours and 28 minutes from Kelowna, the project involved extensive mobilization and logistics. Over the course of the work, nearly 20,000 SF of metal wall siding and more than 15,000 SF of metal roofing were installed.

The consistent quality of workmanship and professionalism shown by every crew member was instrumental in meeting demanding schedules. Due to the project’s scope and duration, multiple crews contributed to its success: Derrek Young, Mitch Wright, Matthew Schock, Andrei Krumkach, Armando Valbuena, Grady Musgrave, Jack Johnson, Wesley Stone, Ian Cunningham, and Maxx Winnicott.

Feedback from PCL was overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing Flynn’s reputation as a dependable partner on complex, remote projects.

A Unique Flynn Contribution Takes Center Stage in Moncton

John Gautreau, our Shop Foreman, recently approached the team with a straightforward request: he needed Polyiso to build a horse.

As it turned out, Shrek the Musical was coming to Moncton and required a horse prop—built, of course, on a very modest budget. In fact, the budget was nonexistent, as community theatre productions are not exactly known for generous funding.

Armed with some expired Duro-Tack/PL Premium and 4" Polyiso insulation, John set to work. The result was a surprisingly convincing, stage -ready horse constructed entirely from ISO materials. To our knowledge, this marks the first time Flynn has played a part in a musical production!

Thank you, John, for the creativity and craftsmanship. And should anyone find themselves with a child requesting a horse—and a bit of Polyiso on hand—we may know just the person to call.

W.P. Thompson Biology Building

Retrofit

The W.P. Thompson Biology Building underwent a two-phase exterior renewal that modernized performance while respecting its historic mid-century design.

The W.P. Thompson Biology Building is named after the University's third president and founder of the Biology Department. The flat-roofed cube style building was constructed between 1957 and 1959 and officially opened in 1960. Flynn Saskatoon's work updating the building spanned on an of for almost 2 years, with Phase 1 starting in November 2023 and Phase 2 ending in October 2025.

The project scope included the design and installation of composite panel and prefinished steel cladding systems across exterior walls, fascias, soffits, canopies, and column covers. Wall cladding work consisted of 924 sq. ft. of VicWest CL508 prefinished steel cladding and 11,686 sq. ft. of Flynn Accumet composite panels, providing a durable, modern building envelope with a high-quality architectural finish.

The wall assembly incorporates AVB protection using 3M 3015 and 3M 3015VP membranes, installed over a thermally efficient substructure utilizing ISO Clips thermal clips with 18-gauge angles and girts to reduce thermal bridging. Insulation includes 1,085 sq. ft. of two-layer mineral wool at 150 mm thickness, along with 9,477 sq. ft. of mineral wool comprising one 76 mm layer and one 150 mm layer, ensuring compliance with thermal and fireperformance requirements.

700 René ‑Lévesque West: A Major Project in the Heart of Downtown

Vitreco is proud to contribute to the modernization of 700 René-Lévesque West, an iconic building in downtown Montreal.

The project involves the complete replacement of the glazing as well as the refurbishment of the exterior finishes—a major intervention that will enhance energy efficiency, architectural appearance, and the overall performance of the building envelope.

Located in a highly trafficked area, this job site requires an especially innovative approach to minimize impact on pedestrians and surrounding businesses. To achieve this, a next-generation suspended scaffolding system—the Upbrella system—is being utilized. Upbrella equipment is provided by PCL, which also oversees the logistical management of this suspended platform.

This unique concept allows crews to work from the top down beneath a protected structure that includes four integrated working levels. Thanks to this configuration, work can continue uninterrupted regardless of weather conditions, while significantly reducing ground-level occupation along downtown sidewalks.

Another key aspect of the project is coordination with tenants.

As the building remains fully occupied, every intervention must be carefully planned to minimize disruption to the daily operations of the businesses on site. This requires strict schedule management, constant communication with occupants, and detailed planning of access routes, noise levels, and work zones.

The 700 RLO project perfectly illustrates Vitreco’s ability to operate in complex environments, integrate innovative technical solutions, and collaborate effectively with all stakeholders— including PCL, Upbrella, Groupe Petra, the architects, and tenants—to successfully deliver specialized work in the heart of Montreal’s urban landscape.

An ambitious project, cutting-edge technology, and rigorous coordination: this defines our contribution to the transformation of this landmark building.

Pioneer Manor Expansion Nears

Completion

Flynn Sudbury crews are installing architectural panels and glazing at the Pioneer Manor longterm care center.

Foremen Don Rollin (Metals) and Nick Hedden (Glazing) and their respective teams are close to finished installing their materials on the project. This new building will be a long-term care facility which will add an extra 160 beds to the existing one. The project is scheduled to reach completion late summer.

CAMH Research Project: High‑Performance Design on a Tight Schedule

CAMH Research, located at the CAMH campus at Queen and Shaw in Toronto, is a new institutional unitized façade project featuring segmented curtain wall systems across both the interior and exterior skins.

The design incorporates high-performance glazing throughout, creating a modern, efficient, and visually cohesive envelope for this important research facility. The attached elevation images highlight the unique geometry and detailing that set this project apart.

Delivering a project of this scale and complexity under an extremely tight schedule required precise coordination and disciplined execution. Flynn’s design, drafting, and installation teams have demonstrated exceptional commitment and professionalism, ensuring that all site start dates and installation milestones were met without compromise. Their collaborative approach and attention to detail allowed us to maintain project momentum even with aggressive timelines.

This project stands as a strong example of Flynn’s ability to execute high-performance building envelope solutions while managing schedule pressure and technical challenges. It also reinforces the value of our integrated teams—working together from concept through installation to deliver results that exceed expectations.

Cowichan Hospital District Project

Over the past 2.5 years, Flynn has been working on the Cowichan Hospital District Project.

It is a 5-building Hospital Construction project with a 300,000 total SF and the first Fossil fuel free hospital in BC. Flynn is proud to be able to be a part of this Total Building Envelope project, installing its overall exterior cladding, interior and exterior windows, large curtainwalls, skylights and building up its entire roof system, from standard flat roof to its green roof!

Led by a very skilled and knowledgeable Senior Superintendent Jason Mitchell and his right-hand and Project Coordinator Jenny Casauay, both are determined to finish strong and provide continuous quality and consistency with minimal discrepancies and top-notch safety record. Handling day to day total crew of 70 skilled tradesmen on all scope: Cladding, Glazing and Roofing, supported by 10 exceptional Foreman led by their General Foreman Claude Slade that goes above and beyond to ensure the project’s success and aims to finish the project strong.

For the past 2.5 years, Cowichan Hospital brought many challenges, it has tested us in ways we never could have fully anticipated. We faced constant challenges: schedule impacts, consistent design changes, manpower, client coordination, and the everyday troubleshooting and realities of working on a complex, high-risk site. There were long days, early mornings, and moments when the finish line felt very far away. At times, progress felt slow, and the obstacles felt heavy.

But what truly defined these past two years was not the struggles itself—it was how we responded to them. Every challenge pushed us to communicate better, problem-solve faster, and support one another more strongly. With dedicated crews showed up day after day with determination, hardworking foreman, and all remote office staff that aids us with our day-to-day struggles, all of us worked in sync to achieve tremendous progress we have today.

This hospital, although still long ways to go before completion, it represents more than a complete structure. It represents our team’s hard work, perseverance, teamwork, and commitment to something greater than ourselves. When this facility opens its doors, it will serve thousands of people in their moments of greatest need—and our team is proud to play a role in making that possible.

Orlando Rodriguez earns a Life Saver Award.

For Orlando Rodriguez, safety isn’t just a policy – it’s a mindset. That commitment was put to the test during a routine day onsite while he was unloading materials from the roof with a forklift.

As Orlando focused on our teams’ task, he noticed something unusual nearby. A crew member from another company was making distressed faces and grabbing his neck, a clear sign that he was choking. In a moment where seconds mattered, Orlando’s awareness and training immediately kicked in. Without hesitation, he stopped what he was doing and moved quickly to assist. Drawing on his safety-first instincts, Orlando acted decisively and was able to help the man dislodge the obstruction and breath again. What could have been a life-threatening emergency was resolved because Orlando paid attention, recognized the signs, and stepped in without delay.

This incident is a powerful reminder that safety goes beyond hard hats and harnesses. It’s about looking out for everyone onsite. Orlando’s quick thinking and willingness to help someone outside his crew reflect the kind of leadership and responsibility that strengthen our entire workforce. His actions demonstrate that a true commitment to safety means to always be prepared not only to protect yourself, but to protect our entire team!

Supporting a Modern 192‑Bed Long‑Term Care Home

The Sudbury metals crew is installing cladding on the new Golden Manor .

The Golden Manor is a Municipal Long-term care facility in Timmins, Ontario. Flynn is working on the new 192-bed Home that will replace the current 177-bed facility, with more room and improved accessibility.

The project highlights Flynn’s continued commitment to supporting essential community infrastructure across Northern Ontario. By contributing skilled workmanship and durable cladding systems, the Sudbury Metals crew is helping ensure the new Golden Manor is built to serve residents for decades to come.

Value Engineering the ISO Clip on SeaTac

The SeaTac Airport Concourse Expansion project with Turner Construction provided the NFL team a clear opportunity to demonstrate how including Flynn’s own ISO Clip product in a major U.S. aviation project can drive profitable growth for our organization.

Although ISO Clip was not the originally specified product on this project, our customer and partner Crown Corr confidently put forward our Axiom Plate Panel and ISO Clip—manufactured by our FMG Mississauga facility—as an alternate. This opened the door for our NFL/ISO Clip team to present directly to the architect and general contractor, highlighting the performance, durability, and long term value of our metal ISO Clip compared to the competing fiberglass option. The result: ISO Clip was accepted and successfully incorporated into the project scope, a significant win for both Flynn and our customer.

This success reinforces how critical it is for our teams across the business to recognize ISO Clip as our product—one that delivers strong margins, differentiates us in the marketplace, and strengthens our relationships with contractors and architects. As demonstrated on the SeaTac project, when ISO Clip is presented with confidence and supported by clear technical advantages, customers respond positively. Crown Corr’s trust in our system, along with the positive installation experience they reported, is a testament to the quality, reliability, and performance we continue to deliver. Every time ISO Clip becomes part of a project’s specification, we strengthen Flynn’s competitive positioning and directly enhance profitability.

This project should serve as a reminder to the entire Flynn team: the more we work to get ISO Clip specified, the stronger our financial and strategic outcomes will be. Whether through early engagement, substitution requests, technical discussions, or collaborative presentations, we all play a role in advancing ISO Clip’s presence in the market. Getting Together for Some Friendly Competition on the Basketball Court

We have basketball teams in both our Montréal (Vitreco) and Ottawa branches that play every week or two.

A group of employees from both offices brought up the idea of having an inter-branch competition and so after speaking with both Branch Managers we decided to make it happen! Vitreco hosted the first match on Wednesday November 19th 2025. Ottawa’s basketball team came to the Montréal branch, they were welcomed with lunch and then given a full tour of the branch and shops before heading out to the basketball court, which is located at a venue close to the office. The first match was tight, and you could feel the energy as both teams really wanted to be the winner of this first ever contest in the region. Ultimately Vitreco won that round 60 to 58. Bravo équipe Vitreco!

The Ottawa team however was thirsty for a rematch to show who rules the court. The Ottawa branch therefore hosted Vitreco on Wednesday February 18th 2026, in a similar format, a lunch followed by a tour of the Ottawa offices and shop. Both teams once again gathered at a nearby venue to see who would take the victory in this 2nd match. Vitreco gave it their all to defend their title, but the Ottawa team dealt them a substantial blow winning 48 to 34. Congrats Ottawa team!

Now both teams are eager to face off once again to decide once and for all who will be the ultimate winner of the 1st inter-branch basketball tournament in Eastern Canada. We will find out this Spring! In the meantime, these matches have built new friendships (and maybe a few friendly rivalries too) between 2 groups who otherwise wouldn’t necessarily interact with each other. Beyond just being a great way to have fun with your peers this has already helped build relationships and foster collaboration between both branches, which can only be good for the Flynn family as a whole.

701 Dexter: Built the Flynn Way

701 Dexter is one of those projects that reminds you exactly what Flynn is capable of when the pressure is on and the expectations are high.

Right in the middle of South Lake Union, this project brought tight logistics, a fast schedule and a lot of eyes on the outcome. It wasn't the kind of project where you ease into your rhythm; you had to show up ready from day one. Every phase demanded sharp coordination and crews who take pride in doing things the right way.

Our scope centered on the installation of 1/8" tick A606 Corten Steel panels that went through a rigorous, controlled patina process by Dissimilar Metal Designs. When you're working with pre-patinated Corten, handling and sequencing matter just as much as the alignment of the panels. Every lift, every

attachment point, every adjustment had to protect the finish while preserving the long-term performance. There's no room for careless movement or sloppy layout. What gets installed is what the city sees.

Urban projects like this bring constant curveballs, stacked trades, tight access and shifting site conditions. Instead of slowing down, the team leaned in. Issues were handled in real time. Communication stayed tight between field crew and project management. Quality never took a back seat to schedule pressure.

That's where Flynn separates itself. Anyone can hang panels. Not everyone can maintain consistency when the jobsite gets

crowded and the pace accelerates. From layout to install, there was real ownership in the work. You could see it in the panel alignment, the crisp transitions and the disciplined execution across elevations.

And that pride matters. It shows up in the details most people will never notice, but they absolutely feel the difference. Clean lines. Tight tolerances. A facade system that performs as well as it presents.

701 Dexter now stands as part of the skyline, and it reflects more than a completed scope. It represents Flynn's capability, craftsmanship and refusal to cut corners. This is what happens when experienced crews take ownership and build with pride.

Flynn Boise participated in Adopt-a-family for the 2025 Christmas year.

"Adopt-a-family for Christmas" is typically a charitable program that matches families in need with sponsors who provide gifts and other necessities for the holidays.

Sponsors typically receive a wish list from an assigned family and then purchase, wrap, and deliver the gifts to the organizing agency before the Christmas deadline.

These programs help make the holidays brighter for low-income families, children, seniors, and others facing hardship by ensuring they have food, necessities, and presents.

Families receiving these gifts are confidential.

Rake up Boise 2025

Flynn Boise participated in “Rake up Boise” a community service event again this year.

The event was held on Saturday morning November 15, 2025. Thousands of volunteers rake yards for veteran, disabled, and senior neighbors each November.

Rake Up Boise is a beloved fall tradition for many families and one of the largest volunteer events in the Northwest.

Roofing 101

OPEX conducted roofing 101 training for numerous branches from January to March of 2026.

With our course, OPEX Technical Support Specialists traveled to the branches and held some hands-on training with our roofing field crews. This focuses on the best practices for various roofing system and provide our crews with the proper training to continue strengthening their skill sets. Estimators and coordinators were welcome to join the group as onlookers to see what is being taught and give them better insight into their own contribution to project success. TASK Winner 2025

The OPEX TASK program was created to promote the communication of good ideas within the company from branch to branch.

Every year, the OPEX team selects an outstanding submission and showcases it to all of Flynn.

This year we are recognizing Mike Rodrigues from the Hamilton branch for submission of a gas transfer pump.

The gas-powered pump is for transferring fuel from a jerry can into generators or other gas-powered equipment safely and cleanly. Far too often we see stained membrane as a result of spilled gas or diesel that becomes a deficiency requiring rework. It can be used on any sized gas container and takes about the same amount of time to dispense. Also, this does not require the worker to hold a full jerry can in an awkward position to pour into generator, thus improving safety. In addition, it's a very inexpensive solution (approx. $20).
