Springtime is here, the weather is mild and the itch is back. Time to get the bike out of the garage and put some miles on it. I’m sure the bike is clean and the chrome is polished and it’s tuned up with fresh oil and a good set of tires. That maintenance is important to keep you riding safely and efficiently. Equally important are a good pair of riding boots, helmet and protective gear. You have to protect yourself in the unpredictable Florida traffic. You may even elect to use sunscreen for the longer rides to protect your skin. Ready to go? Wait, what about your eyes? That’s right, your eyes. We all know how brutal the subtropical Florida sun can be on your skin. It can be just as damaging to your eyes. Cheap sunglasses may look good but do they really protect your eyes the way they should? Not all sunglasses are created equal. Some block almost none of the damaging UV light put out by our nearest star. A good pair of sunglasses should protect your eyes from both UVA and UVB light. This light accelerates aging and cellular oxidation. Unprotected or poorly protected UV exposure can contribute to the following. 1. Cataracts– The gradual changing of the lens inside the eye from clear to cloudy. Cataracts can be accelerated by exposure to harmful UV light from the sun. 2. Pinguecula– A raised yellowish area (usually nasal to the cornea). Although harmless, they are unsightly and can become bothersome when irritated. These arise from chronic unprotected exposure to UV light. 3. Pterygium– A pterygium is a fleshy, vascular growth that can grow onto the cornea. Pterygiums can affect vision by causing irregular astigmatism. They can also become inflamed. A pterygium is caused by UV induced alteration of stem cells that surround the cornea.

4. Cancers of the eye and surrounding tissue– the skin that makes up the eyelids and surrounding areas is some of the thinnest in the human body. The two most common forms of skin cancer found on the eyelids are basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. UV light exposure is a proven cause of both of these conditions. So, you might be wondering what exactly is a good pair of sunglasses? Well, the answer depends on the individual specific needs of the end user. Motorcyclists will benefit from a wraparound frame design and larger lenses to block out as much UV exposure and wind as possible. Should they be polarized? This has been the subject of some debate for quite some time. Polarization reduces the bright glare reflecting off of horizontal objects (think bumpers, hoods of cars, bodies of water). Polarization can also make it more difficult to see wet spots on a slick road or ice if you ride up north. If you are a fair-weather rider, you might consider using polarized sunglasses, however, if you are an all-season rider, you may prefer non polarized sunglasses. How about lens material? Plastic? Polycarbonate? Trivex? If a small stone can crack an automobile windshield at highway speeds, think of what it can do to your sunglasses. For this reason, I recommend polycarbonate or trivex lenses. They are much less likely to break and allow a foreign object into the eye.

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Fisher grew up in St. Petersburg and went to high school at Dixie Hollins High School. Dr. Fisher worked in the corporate world for 10 years before deciding to go back to school to become an eye doctor. Dr. Fisher earned a B.S degree in Nutrition from Life College in Marietta Georgia where he graduated as valedictorian, and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University, College of Optometry in Davie, Florida. While at Nova Dr. Fisher was a member of VOSH (Volunteers for Optometric Service to Humanity). As a member of VOSH, Dr. Fisher traveled to Cusco, Peru, Estelí, Nicaragua and San Francisco, Guatemala to give free eye care to the local residents of these underserved areas. After graduation, Dr. Fisher also completed a residency in Ocular Disease. Dr. Fisher has been serving the vision needs of Pinellas County residents since 2004 and is looking forward to helping you see your very best!

DAYTONA BEACH BIKE WEEK 2022 I went to high school in Daytona Beach for a spell. At the age of 14, I took my first job slinging Panama Jack poolside at the La Playa on A1A—except for Bike Week when Mom would lock me in the house. Nowadays I try to make it to Bike Week every year, riding solo through the Ocala National forest. It’s a victorious jaunt! I like to follow my own agenda, staying with family or camping, but this year I took the opportunity to travel with friends Christy Hollstein, Inventory Manager at Bert’s Barracuda Harley Davidson, and Rockin’ Randi Morgan, Real Estate agent extraordinaire. Taking time off from responsibilities to go for a trip on your Harley is just about the best thing ever. Even the weather doesn’t matter. Christy and I powered thru the forest in heavy rain for almost two hours. We arrived soaked and thirsty to our destination off a little-known highway in Volusia County where we enjoyed the hospitality of true American Patriots who graciously put us up for the night. It felt great to park the bikes and relax while chauffeured about on a golf cart. We saw a pig!

We cruised in to Daytona Beach the next morning to join Randi at an ocean front room, where she was planning shenanigans. Randi had pals in from all over and suddenly my typical solo trip was filled with companionship! We rolled deep to South Daytona for lunch at The Doghouse; saw a cool band at the First Turn Lounge; had dinner at Iron Horse; and caught Hairball at Broken Spoke. We gladly paid $5

each to watch dare devils defy gravity inside the Wall of Death. Familiar faces everywhere included many Bert’s Barracuda Harley Davidson customers. Saturday began with a visit to a unique gas station—more like a department store, with a mascot that emblazons the merchandise—Buccee’s! We hit the Speedway to check out vendors and people watch. After dark, the crew rolled down Main Street and parked to take a breezy walk towards the pier to Joe’s Crab Shack. We power shopped along the way, seeking bargains and refuge in every locale. The ride back to our hotels was wild and windy, but still we strolled over to the Hard Rock for a nightcap. On Sunday riding home was the best. We three ladies left the East coast following old-school Florida friends who led

the way to Pinellas thru Claremont, taking in the beauty of Lake Minneola and more. Perfect weather complimented plenty of twisty roads and glorious scenery. We saw a wild turkey! Entering Pinellas County, my fellow adventurers slipped off one by one until I was riding alone. Daytona Bike Week 2022 was a blast! I got a kick out of sharing favorite haunts with my pals, not to mention finding new roads and hot spots. Whether you ride alone or with a tribe, it’s an adventure! Are you ready to start yours? The Secret of Blood Texas ATV and Motorcycle Race Team Located in Fort Worth Texas Established in 2001 in Puerto Rico. The Secret of blood is based on family. We are a group that hears each other’s ideas to make plans and divide the responsibilities to make sure we succeed as a team. Creating activities, for example; drag racing in the sand and pavement off road circuit. We are always encouraging other groups to grow and participate in all events that are created every year. Kelvo Reyes the founder says “riding for me is more than a passion it is a therapy that brings happiness and a special time that calms my soul with joyful memories with family and other groups that participate together.”

My message to the people who judge sports bike riders is that, this is something that is more than just riding, it is about spending time as family doing activities that normally would not be done while being at home. I know those people will have judgment however I invite them to come and experience what we do as a family in hopes to change their mind with positive thoughts and feelings. Prior to every ride we have a pre- riding safety meeting and the rides are always coordinated to make sure no one gets left behind while riding safely. JENNY TINMOUTH Dreams, Skills and Merit Isle of Man TT

Isle of Man TT (iomtt.com) is the world’s most challenging and dangerous motorcycle race on the planet. Literally. Held on a 37-miles of tiny European public roads reaching speeds well in excess of 200 mph, this is the pinnacle of motorsports. Google the name and see for yourself footage of bikes racing at speeds making Moto GP look like child’s play. This event certainly has been on my radar screen for years. It is on my bucket list to see it live and God willing, try it as well. Jennifer Rosanne Tinmouth (born 8 March 1978) is an English motorcycle racer and professional motorcycle stunt performer. Jenny is the fastest female to lap the Isle of Man TT course. She broke the record during her first TT in 2009, gaining a Guinness World Record for this achievement. She then re-broke the record during her second TT in 2010 taking the record to an average lap speed of 119.945mph, receiving another Guinness World record for this achievement.

Jenny is also the first and only female to have competed in the British Superbike Championship. For which she was also awarded a Guinness World

Record. Her list of accomplishments is astounding and so lengthy it is impossible to list them all here. To list a few, Jenny has achieved many firsts for women in the sport. She was the first female to enter and qualify to race in the British 125gp Championship, the British Supersport and Supersport Cup Championships and the British Superbike Championship. In 2012 Jenny received The Women’s International Film and Television Showcase, International Visionary Awards ‘IT Girl’ awarded in Los Angeles, for her commitment and dedication to her sport, sighting her as an inspiration to women across the spectrum of all ages around the world. She also received the most Meritorious Performance by a Solo Newcomer Award at the TT in 2009 and the Susan Jenness Trophy in both 2009 and 2010 for the Most Meritorious Performance by a Female Competitor at the TT and has also received two ‘Your Champions’ Sporting awards. In 2013 she was extremely privileged to be invited to the Women of the Year Awards in London, an extremely prestigious awards lunch celebrating the success of very extraordinary and inspirational women from all aspects of life.

Jenny is proud to have had 57 podiums including 22 wins during her racing career and to have received 14 awards. In 2014 Jenny was lucky enough to join the Stunt Team for the Mission Impossible franchise and was privileged to be motorcycle rider stunt double for Rebecca Ferguson on both Mission Impossible 5 & 6. I met Jenny first time a few weeks ago. She was accompanied by her dog “Sprocket”, a

Dachshund mixed with Jack Russel. Her dad always had motorcycles. She decided right from a young age she wanted to make a living out of racing motorcycles. “It was a dream and my ambition” she said timidly yet with great pride and confidence. At a young age she was attracted to bloke sports. Barbies were definitely not on her radar screen! At a young age she went to see the races and got hooked. She pursued being a motorcycle technician then volunteered her time at the closest dealership hoping to land a more permanent position to open some doors. Boy did it open doors! Jenny soon got noticed for her love and passion in the sport. “The love and passion for this sport is the great equalizer between males and females in this sport” she said. Being male or female, entitlement does not supersede merit in this sport. I wish we could say the same in other

dimensions and markets! Friendly bantering is rather appreciated and not seen as harassment either. On track, she races both females and males and gender disappear when the road starts to look like a tunnel. Jenny did not get where she is without adversity. On the contrary! Her word of advice “when you face a storm, dig deep and pursue your dreams”. Having the right support matters too and Jenny is forever grateful for Greg at Manx Glass & Glazing as well as Stephen Bradley her business partner who has been there forever by her side. Jenny’s top speed? 185mph…five over mine but the difference is she held it there for more than five seconds! Jenny has never been to Florida. I asked and she would absolutely visit to teach some skills to a few select. Any taker? Guy Martin, a legendary racer of Isle of Man TT says “We are not here for a long time. We are here for a good time!” That’s in part what fuels Jenny to live her life fully. My name is Hector I am 35 years old I am originally from Puerto Rico and currently living in Jacksonville, Fl. I started to ride motorcycles when I was 11 years old, and my inspiration to start riding was my brother. Growing up he taught me how to ride and it woke up a passion inside of me. My first bike was Yamaha PW80. With my effort and dedication, I can say that I was able to build my dream bikes The Minion and The Versace. My inspiration in creating the Minion was to have something super different from what we see on the streets. And for the Versace it was an idea of a great friend, with her idea and mine the VERSACE was born. Thank you, Lefty, Shakira, & Sara for the project ideas. Helping me pull the project ideas into a reality my team Pito Urban, Julio MOTOGIFTED and Firulai. My goal is for my custom design builds to be recognized worldwide in the custom mod environment. My next project will be another DRZ 400 with Chanel graphics. The motorcycles are our passion, but every time we go out, we must be aware and very cautious so that we can return to our homes safe. LOGAN HASTIE Logan is an incredibly strong and resilient 13 year old boy fighting a rare cancer. THIS IS HIS CANCER STORY… Logan is 13 years old and in the 7th grade. He loves basketball, wrestling, and most importantly motocross. He medaled in wrestling at the State Championships in 2019 in freestyle, folkstyle, and greco. Logan love motorsports. Cars and trucks, quads, bikes, snogos, boats, airplanes, and most things “cool and fast”. He is Yupik Eskimo, from Bethel, Alaska; a remote community of about 6,000 residents; 400 miles west of Anchorage; on the Kuskokwim River; 60 miles from the Bering Sea. Most of our activities involve hunting, fishing, camping, flying, boating, snowmobiling, and being outdoors in general.

CANCER

Approximately two years ago, after a biopsy procedure in Seattle, in May of 2020, Logan was diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma which first presented in his left ankle. Synovial sarcoma is a rare form of cancer that accounts for less than 1% of all cancers. It is especially rare in children. During this time we transitioned our life from Bethel to Anchorage, Alaska to be closer to the hospitals that Logan required for his care. We sold many of our belongings and rented our home out in Bethel. We made a home in Anchorage and was better situated to the care Logan required and was only one three hour flight away from Seattle. Trips to a from Seattle were so routine we never unpacked our bags. The tumor was surgically removed in Seattle and his ankle treated with radiation in Anchorage. Although treatment of his ankle was successful, PET and CT scans revealed that the synovial sarcoma was metastatic and migrated to his lungs. In the winter of 2020-2021 Nodules were discovered

in both lungs of various sizes and significant quantities. Six rounds of chemotherapy helped to stabilize conditions where the nodules did not increased in size or number, but did not stop the cancer. In August of 2021, we learned that the nodules in Logans lungs were growing again. However, due to the rarity of synovial sarcoma, there were no immediate treatment options. Additionally, the next treatment option, likely a clinical trial, required tumor size to be a minimum of one centimeter. Logan’s tumors were smaller than one centimeter, but not by much. Knowing the next treatment options would likely be somewhere in the U.S., we knew we had to be there. The previous experience with travel back and forth to Seattle, the experience in hotels and being “stuck” without anything, or anyone of your life was difficult. We knew we did not want to experience that again; plus we had some time to burn before the one centimeter tumor size requirement. So we bought a travel trailer-toy hauler. For the second time my wife Zhi and I sold many of our belongings, rented our home out again, packed our trailer, and by the first snow of the year we left Alaska September 27, 2021. Bound for Seattle Children’s Hospital to check in with Logan’s

doctors and confirm a plan, eight days and 2500 miles later we landed on Whidbey Island, Washington. A place of Hastie family history and chance to catch up with Logan’s uncle, my brother Curtis, who is stationed at Naval Air Station Whidbey. After a visit with Curtis we continued on to Seattle Children’s Hospital to visit with Logan’s docs. Still not meeting nodule size requirements and without a treatment option immediately available, we decided to continue south to southern California to satisfy Logan’s dream of racing motocross. In Seattle we caught up with Auntie Ushi, in Portland Auntie Emma, and visited the Oregon coast all while riding our motorbikes anywhere we could. During our drive we visited aviation museums, numerous motocross tracks, the Oregon Dunes, the Redwood Forest, the Golden Gate Bridge, and numerous sites and RV parks. 4000 miles into our trip we crossed the mountains into San Bernardino and pulled into the iconic Glen Helen Raceway. We didn’t know what to expect and just knew there was a supposed to be the REM Octobercross event. Luckily, we were able to get thru the gate and met Lori for the first time. Unbeknownst to me, when I went to register online, they did not have a class of Logan’s 85cc bike. That evening we met Eddie, who graciously offered an “extra”

Honda 250F for Logan to ride. We ended up not needing to take the offer since the race Marshall allowed Logan to run his 85 in the 125 beginner class. Up Mount Saint Helen Logan went!!! Logan has ridden motorcycles and snowmobiles since he was old enough to operate the throttle. Mostly neighborhood and trail riding, he would spend hours upon hours with friends and family ripping around the dirt roads and trails around our remote community. Logan never had the opportunity to “race” until we moved to Anchorage for Logan’s care where they have organized racing and a proper motocross track. In Anchorage, starting August of 2021, Logan raced four races placing 4th in each, one on his first bike a Kawasaki KLX 140L. After that race we immediately scoured Alaska and found a 2009 KTM 85 SX. Welcome to Southern California Motocross! For six months we have chased every race Logan feels well enough to participate in. From Mini Major in November to Redbull Day in the Dirt. REM, ARX, Swapmoto, SRA GP, and most importantly Moto4Kids, we have tried to race them all. Glen Helen, Perris, State Fair MX, Barona, Cahuilla, Fox at Pala, LACR, and most importantly Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park. I say most importantly for Moto4Kids and Lake ElsinoreMX because for a race series and track, they have been the most welcoming and family like of them all. Not that any one is necessarily better than the other, because they all have their features, but the family atmosphere, open and kind hearts and souls, have really made the experience with families worthwhile. During this time we were fortunate to be able to upgrade Logan’s motorcycle. With all the riding that we were doing, we had to. With plans to sell his 2009 KTM 85 SX (which we did and the Andrew Depiano

of San Diego never paid for it), and with family putting money together, we were able to purchase a new Husqvarna TC 85. Logan convinced me at the time to trade in my Husqvarna 701 dual sport for a proper motocross bike. I ended up with a new KTM 250 SX-F. Against my better judgement, I let Logan also talk me into racing with him. My first race was Red Bull Day in the Dirt. Talk about being thrown to the wolves, and I did not get last!!! It has been the best decision I have made to be able to ride motocross with Logan which I still do at every opportunity I get. During this adventure we have been able to make many of Logan’s dreams come true. Every since we crossed into SoCal and entered the motocross scene either by happen chance or through a connection, we have met and/or been connected with “Hollywood”, Brian Deegan and Family, Motocross Action Magazine - Debbie Tamietti, ___________, among others. We have also been able to experience many great places and people up and down SoCal. We even went to Rady’s Children’s Hospital in San Diego for updated imaging of Logan’s lungs. Our time there included time at Campland by the Bay and sightseeing to include the aircraft carrier USS Midway. In December of 2021, we get word from Seattle Children’s Hospital that a treatment option had come available at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Knowing the treatment was our only option, Logan enrolled. Logan started his treatment and we joined our friends at Lucerne Valley for Christmas. The Vargas Family was great hosts and we took the opportunity to ride the trails and mountains of the area. It was and incredible experience. After THREE? Infusions of the clinical trial drug, at the first of March, we learned that the drug was not effective. We also learn Logan was the only child enrolled in the study in the United States with two others enrolled in Europe. We know that there are not current options for

treatment for Logan. There is no cure. Unless a treatment is developed, Logan has 6 months to 2 years. There is one trial that is in the very early stages of testing and not yet approved for children but that can take months or years to be approved.

CURRENT

Logan had a Hickman Line (a tube to his heart protruding from his chest) installed and started a chemotherapy treatment that will hopefully slow the growth of the nodules in his lungs. We will know by the end of April if the treatment is effective. If so, we plan to continue to live Logan’s motocross dream. If not, there may be an immunotherapy treatment in Seattle that we can pursue; understanding that it is not a cure, yet something to hopefully buy time. We have decided to continue to allow Logan to live his best life. Whatever it is he wants to do, wherever it may be, we will go there and do it. Now it is to continue to dream of racing motocross in Southern California. We will do everything we can to let Logan live his best life. Despite a period during clinical trial treatment of about a month during February to March, of multiple pnemo-thorax (collapsed lungs that required chest tubes and hospital stays), Logan has been fortunately healthy throughout his treatment process. Although chemotherapy beats him down, Logan continues to fight back. He is generally healthy and able to ride. Logan has now started a chemotherapy treatment that will hopefully slow the growth of the tumors. As of March 2022 he has received one infusion and scheduled for another in April. At the end of April, fresh CT scans will determine if the treatment is effective. Besides clinic visits and infusions, Logan has been able to continue a mostly normal lifestyle and continue to participate in motocross. Logan also loves to help care

for his 3 year old sister Jozie and teach her to ride her Stacyc electric motorbike better. He is such a good teacher she has been placed 3rd in her own races in multiple classes.

2021 I got notified regarding a 15-yearold close to my family that had gone missing. All that she left was a note that said, “I’ll be back”. It was the first time the distraught parents went through this. I managed to locate the precious one and within hours she was safe in my custody. Her naivety wronged her, she somehow thought it would be cool to go boating with her female friend and a bunch of grown men that no one really knew. With human trafficking and drug rape being at an all time high, I believe by the grace of God almighty this life might have been spared. Mandy Lady’s story reminds me of these dangers and thinking of it still sends shivers down my spine. Mandy was born in 1993, raised by her parents and lived a fairly normal life in Smithville Missouri. Shortly after moving to Kansas, all of that changed. On July 26, 2014, at roughly 2 a.m. in Steele City, Nebraska, she was struck by a locomotive. After an innocent night out with people she thought she could trust, consuming 2 beers and 2 shots throughout the course of the night (of which her bar tab and blood alcohol content later reflected), the worst part of this is that it is suspected she was incapacitated by a date rape drug. The investigators of the small town simply shoved the case under the rug, she was written off as

a suicide attempt although the conductor of the locomotive that severed her legs from her body put her date of that night at the scene of the crime. The stories never matched up, and despite Mandy and her mother seeking answers and justice, the police ignored them. She was left with no other choice than to accept what had happened, forgive, and move on. She loved him, surely, he couldn’t have been responsible for something so heinous… right? In November of that year, the heavy equipment operator whom she was dating at the time of the incident, “accidentally,” parked his truck in a garage, closed the door and went for a long sleep. At least that’s what the coroner’s report claims. It has been 8 years since, and Mandy still hasn’t seen a police report. An aspiring MMA fighter, Mountain climber, actress, model, writer and public speaker- Mandy’s resilient spirit has not said its last word. Mandy is near graduating and obtaining her bachelors in English. In her journey for answers on a spiritual front, she spent countless hours studying Christianity, the bible, and sociology. Mandy believes modern Christianity is nothing like Jesus wanted and that it is filled with narcissism. I agree. But I’m not turning my back on God, or these pour pew-warming souls, and I am certain Mandy isn’t going to turn her back on truth either.

The journey to walk wasn’t without pain either. After six years of trying various prosthetic sockets that would cause skin degradation and infections, Mandy swore them off. That is until Steve Chamberland founder of 50 Legs came in the picture in 2019. After only 4 days of arrival at Prosthetic and Orthotics Association, she was up walking comfortably! Today, she is patiently waiting for a kick ass documentary to be completed through post-production that follows her life journey and trek up Kilimanjaro in 2021. By crawling and being the first woman in the history of the world to do so. The documentary is directed by Edward John Drake, Founder of Good Complex Productions. Edward is most predominantly known for directing and producing titles such as “AMERICAN SIEGE”, “APEX”, “BREACH BROIL” “COSMIC SIN”, and “GASOLINE ALLEY” working alongside names like Bruce Willis etc.… Additionally, she’s training…again. And this time she won’t tell anyone for whatdancing around the question, the only response I can get is- “it will be my Everest. It’s not literally the mountain, but it will

test me in every capacity you can imagine.” I just hope this teenage girl I helped this past year will never go through anything like this. I hope one day she reads Mandy’s story and realizes the dangers she exposed herself to. That she will learn before it’s too late. I know her parents intimately. Her dad especially. BY JOHNNIE SALVINO Have you ever caught a whiff of burning rubber or, heard the roar of motors rumbling down a race track? The first time I witnessed the Harley Davidson Nitro Drag Races I was mesmerized. My name is Johnnie Salvino and, I am a moto-journalist. I have been riding and writing on my custom Shovelhead trike to motorcycle venues and charity events for over 13 years. The Gainesville Race track hosts the Harley Drag races twice a year. I rode out to the track on Sunday 4/3/22 to experience some fine tuned machines that can go from 0 to 200+ mph in 5 seconds. I was in the pits observing the teams preparing for each race and spoke with a couple of the pilots of these “rocket motorcycles” to get a little insite on what urges them to drive a jet fueled bike. Larry “Grey Ghost” Stanley has been racing since 1966. Larry raced HD Shovelhead and Kawasaki motorbikes back in the day when Daytona was a dirt track. He is a very respected pilot on the Nitro top fuel racing circuit. The teams are all mourning the loss of DJ “The Nitro Santa Claus”. DJ was “The Man” when it came to fine tuning these high-tech motors and out of utmost respect Larry rode with a silver vial and chain containing the beloved DJ’s ashes around his neck. These racers are all like family and lend a helping hand whenever needed and, DJ was always doing just that. He will be missed by All the Nitro Racing Family. Rest In Peace DJ. Walter Halonski has been racing Nitro top fuel since 1995 but he has ridden and wrenched on motorcycles most of his life. Walter explained that “racing on the track

helps keep my driver license”. I am guessing he gets all the “need for speed” on a regular basis on the track helps keep his highway speed within the limits. I asked Walter if he had a favorite track and he responded Rockingham, N.C. and, since I was raised in N.C., of course, I do believe it is mine as well. There are many other motorcycle divisions that race during these events but, I am partial to the “Big Boys”. The Top Fuel Nitro Racers are some of the fastest bikes on the track. There is so much skill, time and, money involved in going from the starting line to the finish it is astonishing. Check out a race if you get a chance and, I promise you will be going back for more. My advice to any breeders coming into the Bully game is to stay focused on your craft. The more you learn from each litter the more you educate yourself on the breed. This is a hands-on job you must breed to know what you’re doing. There is a lot of advice that you can get but there’s no better advice than experience. After a while we noticed that there were many women who did not dare to go to a mountain, since most of the teams and team members were mostly men. That’s when we came up with the idea of creating the first women’s ATV Team in FL, so that all of them would feel confident enough to go to a mountain, release all that adrenaline and show that extreme sports are not male dominated sports.
