THE MURDER AT HAVERSHAM MANOR

CHRIS BEAN
Inspector Carter & Director
Chris is a supremely accomplished actor, director and human being. He received reviews for his original one man show “Murder is served…with a side of death!” The City Register raved “this went on longer than I expected” Chris is also a highly known acting coach and acting teacher. He has coached many actors, sometimes at their request. He created the “Louder + Softer = Dynamic!” (L.S.D method) as well as his signature “Bold + Assertive = Drama!” (B.A.D technique). These are being used by people and maybe actors all over the world. As always, he will be selling autographed photos (of his face) after the show at market price.

ROBERT GROVE
Thomas Colleymoore
Robert Grove gained notoriety in the local theatre scene for electing to use Sanford Meisner’s repetition exercise rather than using monologues. One casting director described this experience as “shocking, unique, and simply too much before lunch: we spent the entire session in a loop - “You may begin” “IIII may begin?” “Yes Robert, whenever you’re ready” “Yes, Robert, WHENEVER I’m ready.”” His site specific one man show “The Iliad: Unabridged” put him on a temporary travel restriction in Mykonos. His favorite film performance is Laurence Olivier’s “Hamlet”, although he believes Sir Laurence should have waited until he was a little bit older to really nail the part.

JONATHAN HARRIS
Charles Haversham
Jonathan is beyond thrilled to be making his acting debut with Cornley Drama Society. He has not missed a single production since Chris Bean took over as director. In fact, you may recognize him from the box office and recently MCing the annual karaoke fundraiser - which prompted Chris to pluck him from cleaning the toilets after the matinees to putting him on the stage. As his wife says “Johnny has always been very theatrical.” Thank you to Shirley at Crème de la Crème School of Modeling and Dance and for giving him the confidence to take center stage.

SANDRA WILKINSON
Florence Colleymoore
Sandra (SAHN-drah) has been “treading the boards” since the ripe age of 2 and is a fourtime Tony Bennett Award winner. As many of you may know, this is her 17th lead role in the tri-state area (with many more to come!) Local newspapers have called her “A Threat-Tripled!” She would like to thank Miss Nancy for teaching her the importance of a good leg-line, Chris for being the best director she’s ever worked with, and herself, for having the tenacity to stick with it even when this ol’ business-of-show gets rough. She dedicates this performance to Audrey Hepburn and her uncle’s ex-girlfriend *Bernadette Peters* - and hopes that someday soon, they will create magic together on stage. Broadway, Hollywood– watch out!!

MAX BENNETT
Cecil Haversham
Having graciously permitted the Cornley Drama Society to use his likeness, Maximus (Max) is pleased to be portraying Cecil Haversham in The Murder at Haversham Manor, a role he considers quintessentially pivotal and exceptionally demanding. A lifelong patron of the arts, his family is honored to have contributed the entirety of the set, constructed from materials removed during the renovation of their ancestral vacation home, then meticulously reassembled here. Beyond his burgeoning and auspicious acting career, Max has enjoyed his time at Harvard University — pending formal acceptance — and is the author of several books under the pen name ChatGPT. When not elevating the theatrical arts or learning to read, Max generously shares his insight with his fellow cast members, who are fortunate to benefit from his experience, taste, and natural leadership. Max would also like to extend the sincerest of gratitude to the director, Chris, whose enthusiastic, but occasionally misdirected, efforts he has judiciously honed into a performance of notable distinction.

DENNIS TYDE
Perkins
Dennis is happy to be stepping into the role of Perkins after Cornley Drama’s own Samuel Willoughby’s unfortunate leg-breaking accident. You may recognize Dennis from his many productions with the Cornley Drama Society as “House Left Usher.”

TREVOR WATSON
Lighting & Sound Operator
TREVOR
WATSON has been manhandling the lights and sound board since he was 12 years old. He knows this theater like he knows every lyric of “Hungry Like the Wolf” by Duran Duran. Do not talk to him when he is #inthezone. Enjoy the show.

ANNIE TWILLOIL
Stage Manager
Annie is “thrilled” to be back for another summer working 15hour shifts for her uncle, Chris. She is excited to get to work with new power tools since she broke the old ones they had last summer. Annie would like to remind everyone that she is still a STUDENT and Chris NEEDS to hire someone to take her spot ASAP. Lastly, she would like to thank her emotional support tortoise, Barbs, for reminding her it’s ok to slow down occasionally.
